Sanity comes first.
Someone needs to learn the difference between experience based examples and bragging. Not to mention that you attacked me in the first place, though i have to admit your attack made no sense since as i said i do in roulette what i have to do so you turning my own argument against me makes no sense at all. Not in the slightest. Not even as a leading argument towards your last point which is indeed a valid one since there are people who lower their itemlevel so you had a valid point but you did choose to basically lead with a personal attack that made no sense which devalued your last valid point.
To explain it a bit further:
I said if you don't like what you get for roulette then queue for the raid you actually want to run.
To which you answer "If you like CT so much why don't you queue for it specifically".
Which basically rejects all logic, cause A) this would mean i trigger specifically CT runs, which would work clearly to your disadvantage cause i would force roulette players into a raid i clearly don't need to run specifically and B) we talked about Roulette and i do anything Roulette gives me no matter if CT or Nier or the Void Series or Ivalice but some fellas here don't want to do that to get the rewards.
So i do what it takes, what the game expects, to get my rewards for helping other players out. Thus you saying "But you want your sweet rewards" which was my point makes no sense cause i do what it needs to get these rewards. So turning that point against me makes no sense, you should never lead with a specific attack against one specific person into a point that surrounds multiple people. Since as you see now i can or well could use your attack on me as a way to negate your really valid last point.
So next time use your valid argument first and not at the end. And don't try to counter with some emotional attacks, especially if they don't make sense.
So people who don't want to run Mhach/Ivalice/Nier/Aglaia should only manually queue for the Crystal Tower series. I'm glad you understand my point!
I don't bother running the roulette anymore because I know I won't end up in fun content, and as the great Reggie once said: if it's not fun, why bother?
Obviously, we are on the same page on this basically. I am also against lowering your stats to basically just run CT raids. Same as i am against anything that would prevent CT runs or people leaving them cause they don't like these raids.
It is just good to understand that even if SE would remove the itemlevel trick CT runs would be still in higher demand cause of some reasons. Which would be:
A) People who only unlocked CT raids will trigger with their roulette only CT (To prevent this maybe make all raids, just not the latest, mandatory for roulette?)
B) CT is in higher demand cause it's mandatory for MSQ
C) First raid newbies come across
D) The only raid automatically unlocked by the story boost from the store
yeah i'm all for helping new players prog but there are not enough new players queuing for CT to justify 9/10 ally raids going to CT. people are exploiting a loophole that forces 23 other players into content they don't want to run, all in the name of a "quick and easy run." bet those people would make excellent mentors, eh
Don't forget that there's also the Bozja relics which have you running CT 15 times for one of the steps (and making that one repeat on a second relic was the stupidest fucking idea they've had when there was a step that required Mhach and Ivalice), but the problem with that is that in order to even unlock Bozja and its relics you need to get through Rab, Lighthouse and Orbonne which is pretty rough when the roulette is constantly prioritizing CT, causing queue times to be stupidly long.
The only possible solutions I can think of is either having CT get it's own separate roulette with lowered exp rewards, since it would be popping rather often.
Or making it so that you need all the alliance raids unlocked, and then having the roulette prioritize filling higher level ARs which would probably end up in longer queue times overall.
Complete BS
People either don't unlock the later raids or they ilvl cheese the hell out of it. The number of times I have gotten Circus Tower without a notification that "A new player hasn't completed this duty yet" pop up is too much.
They need to fix this problem that they have made because making CT raids compulsory killed the other later alliance raids.
All good reasons to remove CT from Alliance Raid roulette, and stick it on MSQ roulette instead.
This way, one roulettes serves:
ARR MSQ progression for newbies.
Quick, easy, brainless EXP/Tomes.
While the other serves all optional alliance raids, and a more or less even chance.
Which is funny I always get new player notice. The only time I don't get new player notice is when it isn't CT. LoTA isn't so bad for people waiting for new players specially since last boss can still wipe people. But always have to say"hey we are locking CS people out" in the other two. If I am doing it I only do it right around reset, so that might change if you get new or not. I always tell new people to try for stuff when roulettes are fresh since the system is more likely to fill your group.
The choices I see is rework all of them so same amount of time, so reward is equal to time spent. They could do this multiple ways nerfs or buffs. Or split them up, people get so triggered over 15 mins, just like if you get copperbell or totorak.
I have no problem doing any alliance raids. I’ve seen party wipe mechanics that never came up before!
You're welcome. Can't stand Crystal Tower. Always willing to eat 30 minutes. I want my Ivalice.
Glad we got 6.1 PvP revamp so i can completely ignore any PvE roulettes and still level up quickly if i so wish.
I don't even bother with Alliance Raid anymore. After getting nothing but Lab and Tower, I just don't bother any longer. I'm tired of seeing people intentionally downgrade their ilvl just to get easy dungeons. If you have such a problem with your job in a raid, perhaps stop doing this to the 23 others that don't want to be there and go learn what you are playing.
Anymore, I just queue for what I want to raid and do without the 'rewards' that I can easily make up elsewhere.
I got lighthouse 3 nights in a row, then rabanastre, then paradigm. Haven't had a CT raid in 5 days lol
Lucky you. The last time I got non-CT raid was 3 days ago which was a Copied Factory. And that was after 10+ days of getting LotA/ST repetitively.
I would kill to have Lighthouse 3 times in a row.
So you are telling me the raid that new players come first across, that is one of the two only possible alliance raids in free trial, that is mandatory for msq has no higher demand other than people who cheese ilvl and don't unlock other raids? You do realize how silly that sounds, right? Or well reads since nothing "sounds" here.
More LotA & Sycus Tower.
I like my exp & tomestone grinds to be fast and easy....so that I can more quickly gear and level for the harder content.
Its not gonna happen, but Id advocate for Hardmode Alliance Roulette. (name pending)
Separate CT & Mhach raids from Ivalice & Nier Raids. They arnt hard...just take longer. Plus more exp and tomestone opportunities.
CT is not MSQ, and hasn't been since 2.1. Besides real MSQ need the queue just as it is. could they do a alliance 50-70 breakout? sure.
you recognize ur experience is whole unlike what other people are reporting, correct? and yes, i queue for what i want as well. which is why i don't queue for ally raids. do you think i need to queue for leveling roulettes or mentor roulettes when my jobs are at 90? the rewards are meaningless. that said, if i queue for alliance roulettes, i expect alliance raid roulettes, not crystal tower roulettes.
He is right, there is indeed a higher demand for CT and many reasons it can pop even if everyone in the group has completed the one time mandatory msq run and there are no “strippers”.
- unlocking other raids is 100% optional. Many people don’t unlock them and you can’t blame them as it is how the game is currently designed;
- there are many quests between the time one completes CT and the time it becomes possible to unlock the next tier and an even longer time before the other ones;
- ftp players are limited to CT and (I think but I am not sure) optional HW raids;
- even with 100% of the raids unlocked, some players may be levelling a different job and they are between lvl 50-59;
- some quests require extra CT runs (i.e Bozja);
- some weirdoes may queue CT just because;
- sheer luck (or lack of).
It’s not hard to understand as all the above is cumulative on CT demand. In the end, CT is just 15 mins and the roulette is optional. You can queue for something else after. That’s what I do if I want to run a raid.
all of this is correct but is missing the spirit of what a roulette is. what is the purpose of a roulette that includes various content if you only see 1/4 of the total content pool? the spirit of the issue is, "why do we only get crystal tower when we're queuing for roulettes?" if there is no answer other than, "people queue for CT more often" there is an issue that must be addressed. otherwise, remove alliance raid roulette as it serves no purpose at all.
Also since apparently some people want to put CT into main scenario roulette, it is actually good to remind some people that it is not msq.
And even if it was they will never put it in the main scenario roulette.
I did the ARR MSQ last year and I most certainly had to do Crystal Tower raid series before I could progress to 2.55. However the quest chain had the blue optional quest mark.
To be fair CT really should be part of the MSQ roulette. The reason why it pops so much in the alliance roulette is because;
1.) Its mandatory to progress the MSQ unlike the later raids so its already going to pop more often.
2.) Its easy to guarantee that one to pop because players remove all their gear for fast and easy exp.
Place CT into the MSQ roulette would fix both problems.
