I prefer the squats emote myself to assert dominance. :)
Im honestly tired of gaming companys becoming so pansy hand holding on content that is the time and place for it. Idc he didnt touch housing much cuz its been horrible for 5 years tbh.. But turning a combat against other players into a pansy system because crybabys that have no place in that type is just bad
Yes, combat against other players. Not harassment. PvP doesn't preclude harassment. Besides, who should be the ones to get out? The ones having fun, or those that clearly can't handle losing without throwing a tantrum? My bet is on the latter for not having the mental fortitude to act as a civil individual without being sorely hurt by a simple loss. Yes, I do realize there is a small touch of irony. But the point remains.
I am not a PvP player but I would like to be.....I recently did the 1st PvP in my life and died like 12 times LOL
I don't know how to improve PvP, any suggestions are welcome....
Oh, my, GOD! You speak such truth!
This is why EU players need their own forums to where they cannot communicate with us on ours there is just a cultural divide here.
If we are going to focus on the snowflakes who can't handle mean words in PVP....PVP in FFXIV will never be taken seriously.
Step 1: Accept that you're going to die a lot. It makes future play a lot easier to bear.
Step 2: Ignore the assholes. It makes future play a lot easier to bear.
Step 3: Set small goals for yourself. "I'm going to get a full combo off before I die this time.", "I'm going to focus on guarding the crystal.", "I'm going to try capturing as many nodes as I can in XYZ Frontline". Little steps over time end up getting you to your destination (improvement).
Step 4: Forget about the achievements and rewards, just play the game and let the rest come. Trying to get those last 10 wins in XYZ Frontline is the path to madness. You'll get them eventually by virtue of frequency of play. A lot of XIV's achievements are really there to give people who PvP a lot something to recognize their time since getting wins is a total crapshoot. The one exception to this is making sure to get your first GARO set and title so you can start getting progress on the mount achievements.
It's amazing that people are throwing fits about being reminded that it's against the rules to be jerks to other people in PVP. Nothing has changed, no new rules are being added. He's just reminding people of what is already prohibited. Go play something else if you don't like the rules set out for this game.
Forget the smacktalk. I'd rather see a cooldown for the quick chat button. Quick chat button spam is a lot like ping spamming in league of legends.
LMAO I love you for this. It's a classic.
You think you’re oppressed? Try being a gamer. Us gamers are constantly under attack by the right and left wing, constantly getting friendzoned and attacked all for enjoying a hobby that actually improves your critical thinking and problem solving skills. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, America!
You know these successors to Titanmen are having a tough time properly wearing the crown.
I for one wholeheartedly support being a jerk to random people in PVP.
Nothing says asserting dominance like taunting someone you just killed then getting bodied mere nanoseconds after said taunting. It's a true combo after all.
Honestly the post Yoshi P made there is nothing new for the PvP since Wolf's Den. You'll always have people who are going to want to coast through for the rewards alone and not the gameplay, especially when it comes to matches that involve high amounts of repetition like CC.
It's funny that I used to say that savage was actually really good content, but now it really does feel like savage, pvp, and housing are the three biggest content problems the game has. They can't really address all of them at once so it turns into having problems lingering for a long time and festering like a wound.
We could build an entiere army of rams/ballistas/carts over dead bodies in GW2 WvW and people in FF14 are complaining about fireworks????
That's hilarious.
Feel like I need a bag of salt before I can post a proper reply.
assuming if you missclick the Hello emote in quick chat once and using good job/thanks for either winning or losing is normal occurence?
Not sure what Nekokaori is going on tbh, I'm just here to cause problems.
There is no game more toxic than Mario Party.
Prove me wrong (protip: you can't).
Some stable, well adjusted individuals in this thread!
guys my opponent used an emote I'm literally shaking rn
