AF weapons were the only thing in this patch I was excited for. I'm sure the dev team put a lot of work into the hamlet defences but the rewards just make them uninteresting to me. Tremendously disappointed.

Overall absolutely no. But it is really dissapointing that they gave us the bare minimum that was promised. Yoshida said he'd keep us posted on the status of AF weapons but we never heard about them again and putting the imperial stronghold there just for looks like a tourist attraction is beyond pointless.
No one's excited for the difficult synths?
Hm... no interest in hamlet defense at all, nor do I care about class only gear.
Guess this is just a Garuda fix patch.

Hmm thought PLD buff, DRG buff and WAR nerf was this patch
Only excited I can make things to restore my anima in a close by Hamlet...everything else is bleh.
Here's a challenge for you: use some logic.
The legolas battle is supposed to take place in 1.23. Do you think, perhaps, that it might take place in the stronghold?
Also, show me where exactly it says the stronghold will be added in 1.22a. Then I'll eat my words.
Was interested until I seen the reintroduction of armor/weapon parts, then I just cringed.
Some pro quality entitlement up in this thread. Definitely HQ bawwing, you can make FFXIV Forum Poster class-specific gear out of this for sure.
at least the target highlight bug was fixed.
As evidenced by Yoshida's March Letter form the Producer this was never planed as just a "Hot-Fix" Patch. It was clearly designed as an additional content patch to include AF Weapons. The real problem is the fact that they failed to mention anything about any delays. We have become so accustomed to receiving timely information that when they slip up, as they did this time, people react negatively. A simple post via the Community Reps would have avoided much of this. Most people are understanding of the complexities of trying to work on 2 games simultaneously and will accept some delay as long as they know before hand.
Did somebody say...

?
No, because they have always been listed as being two separate things.
From hereQuote:
1.22
Imperial stronghold
Construction of an imperial stronghold related to Meteor
1.22
New imperial weaponry
Implementation of new imperial weaponry
LEGATUS battle has always been marked as 1.23 content since there will be no primals or raids in that patch.
We call him legolas in my LS. :P
Oh and something related to kill the maintainence time:

There's your answer, directly from the patch notes. Chances are that means 1.22 and all it's sub patches. Going to have to wait.Quote:

We got to find out from the patch itself that what we were looking forward to was actually not included.
If the community is expecting to be filled in if things fall behind schedule, then it makes sense that silence is to be taken as though everything's running smoothly. "Oh, good, there must not have been any more problems because Yoshi said they'd keep us in the loop if there were going to be any more." So understandably, people were looking forward to checking out the new content tonight, and perhaps more importantly, Welcome Back players were expecting to have an opportunity to judge this new content during their ten days back. Now the joke's on them because their hopes were set up by a promise to be kept informed of problems as they arose, and then those hopes were falsely allowed to build into expectations based on the devs' silence.
The problem is not that there is a delay. The community understood when it was delayed the first time, because the devs mentioned it to us as they found out about it. The problem is that the players were not kept in the loop as promised. Instead the rug's been pulled out at the very last second, and no explanation what the heck happened is anywhere in sight. Way to make an impression on those Welcome Back players looking forward to joining us tonight.
This patch seems underwhelming. But it'll all be good in 1.22b. It's true we've seen much less come from patchs. But when ya think about it Hamlet being added in two locations is really alot. Even if not everyone likes the content. I haven't even tried it, but I'm kinda afraid to hearing all the complains of time spent vs reward. I wanna see whats up with these new recipes.
So im curious, does anyone know what these are for...
Inferno Seal Miscellany A hand-carved medal said to grant its wearer the protection of the Lord of the Inferno.
Vortex Seal Miscellany A hand-carved medal said to grant its wearer the protection of the Lady of the Vortex.
For the Primal fights? (sorry if its a dumb question, just didnt see any info on it)
