Should Savage be Delayed?

Delay the Raids the timing they put on these was way too fast for the Christmas holiday and New Years. No t to mention if team members get a 90k puts a big fat hole in everyone’s night! People dont wanna wait 4 hrs for their crew to log back in! Not everyone can load FF14 2 hrs ahead of time either when they get off work and raid starts in 30min in prime time. It’s prime time for a reason people got jobs.

No. Just release it and deal with it. Let's not start turning into Blizzard delaying things unnecessarily.

They shouldn't bring it out till there queue times is back to normal and not in the thousands. If theres no savage or raids then most will stop playing once the story is over and then let ones that can't play to be able to.

People don't think they should delay the 8man? They have three seasonal events coming up. They could literally push this almost to the end of Jan. Which won't make servers magically appear. But gives them more time to work. Gives players more time to spread out. I would think a delay would be obvious. One DC with the way the game is designed means night over.

That's not how static works.

Content shouldn't be delayed just because people have issues logging in. It sucks to punish the people who do manage to play because of those who can't.

And yet that's kinda how it will have to be this time around. No short delay will resolve the issue the game faces now due to literally being trapped between critical success and shortage of equipment capable of handling the new found popularity. People just need to accept the climate of raiding this season and make adjustments as necessary. Far more people depend on raid season than just raiders including people who endgame craft/gather and play the market.

It doesn't change the fact that the situation sucks for all included. If you can't raid during offpeak because supposedly, you have jobs (lolnoshit, many do) than you will unfortunately have to either brave the queue or pray it dwindles by then. If SE wants to delay and actually cares about the raid community enough to, then power to them and all who will directly profit. But let's not delude ourselves here, they rarely cater to this batch of players much less have already stated they don't know when the situation will improve due to a lack of server infrastructure, which literally precursors how long should they delay to in theory fix the situation?.

That immutable fact is not removed withstanding a heavy delay which would be met with ire from many raiders and non raiders alike.

Nope, I got 1 job at 90 and the 2nd at 89.

Onlly problem the it's not on the players side and promoting 24/7 players or the one that bypass the kick is wrong.

The only thing that "delaying" will do is upset more of their customer base. What do you think they'd do? Tell the level designers, artists, musicians, et al to start building new login servers that can handle the massive load? Therefore, I'd say the best course is to push onward. It's not as if the new content will go away after some time.

How much of a delay are we talking?

Whenever they delay it to, there's going to be a huge influx of players again.
So unless they delay it by 2-3 months there's going to be queues.

Not much to do at this point for this problem. SE fucked up by not upgrading the servers in the past year. It's was clear there be WOW numbers of players.

No ask 5he correct team to do it. They fucked up when they did not upgrade in the past year as well. Now not much they can do but try make ae much players happy.

I'd say delay normal and savage by 2 weeks it. With Christmas and new years holidays coming up, the queues just will not hold up.

At least the "only play mainstory" crowd has a good chance to be done by new years (going by achievements, roughly 14% have finished EW at this point), and the raiding population, esp. savage, isn't all that big.

Instead of a delay what we really need is a grace period to reconnect after a non-graceful disconnect (not using logout or exit commands and confirming that you wish to logout or exit the game). Without a grace period I can already see world first raid clear attempts getting ruined if a member of a raid team gets 90k'd or has their game crash on them.

Yes we need it badly but we won't get it fast. The way the net code for ff14 works it may not even be possible. They fucked up on the hardware and programing side of it and realistically it take them a year at last to get something working. So what they can do is not fuck the players longer.
