That's the unusual part for me, too. Something you understand working in IT is that you'll often have to work outside business hours. Unless our customer-facing system is already inaccessible to customers and so we need to do something as an emergency, we always do hotfixes and maintenance in off-hours. Usually this is fairly late US time since we have customers around the world. So it seems a bit counter-intuitive that not only would they work on it during normal business hours, but the main hours for their home base players in Japan, too. Maintenance in my experience has never been at the convenience of the maintenance team. We're the last ones considered, lol.
