Unfortunately, it's not too surprising from my point of view. Comprehension levels often vary. People that jumped to conclusions, should perhaps actually read the post in its entirety instead of jumping to conclusions.
It would need to be some kind of UI implementation that goes beyond "someone is not eligible for the rewards" that savage has because it defeats the entire purpose of knowing who has done what today BEFORE you've already set up the party and queued for a roulette.
That is true. In my situations I'd rather have it in a more useful manner.
As I'm always in a party with friends and their friends or people from a Linkshell, the times I will need it vary.
To give just a few examples:
1) I'm in a party of my FC or one of my LS, doing whatever of an activity, may it be that I want to check if I can do my daily with one or some of them, I open the duty finder, check who it can be, I send them a tell, then go from there.
2) Likewise, I'm with a party of friends and their friends as usual or any friendly strangers and I and Ryne want to do our daily, but Thancred and Gaius are afk but we simply need to open the duty finder, see who has done it and who has not and instead of just saying "We need to do our daily, see you later!", we can wait for them to come back to see if they want to do it with us.
Just as Shurrkihan had said:
3) Likewise, I'm in a party with a people doing the hunts, I've had it with the grind and I need to do my daily before I go to bed, I like this Miqo'te, they are so sweet, I want to do the daily with them, I open the duty finder. There! They haven't done it, I ask them if they'd like to do their daily any time soon with me.
Moreover, why do we need to make such suggestions for the QoL of the game?
Should it be there only if it's not possible through the chat?
Contemplate on these words:
Should we only ask for something if it benefits each and everyone?
Even if you can see who did them and who didn't, it gives you literally nothing and is way inferior to everything a "chat -> Who wants to do daileys with me?" would solve.
So you see a bunch of people haven't done their dailys. Now what? Maybe they don't want to do their dailys, because they are already capped/leveled out/don't feel like it. Maybe they don't have the time for it. Maybe they want to do it, but not now and/or maybe with other persons. Maybe they are waiting for a friend.
You still need to ask them, so it gives you nothing. You still need to follow it up with "chat -> Who wants to do dailys with me?"
There is no benefit to gain from this function.
I'm generally not against QoL changes so long as they are useful, and I guess if the game had nearly unlimited time and resources to spare I wouldn't care. I just...can't really justify its creation and implementation as things currently stand when quick communication in chat will suffice. That's just my take on it though.
