The bullying on these forums is concerning

i'd advise you to edit your post because you can banned for telling people to get help on here, even when it's completely warranted (happened to an earlier poster not so long ago after they were accused of stalking someone because their forum name was similar to the accuser's former EB and said poster disagreed with one of their posts and accuser had a melty because of it :rolleyes:)

Define stupid because the way people act is everything that isn't kiss ass is labeled stupid lol seriosely.. I love final fantasy and all that but out of all game series we have the biggest suck ups /white knights

Many people post thoughts/opinions/views/ dream thoughts a long time ago that was about blue mage and people called it stupid when everyone just screamed "yoshi" said it won't happan lol and guess what it did.. None not you not even the devs themselves have the right to call anything stupid because you never know where it will lead..

(and ya i have played off and on since realm of reborn came out pre hw) and I've quit many times for how zealot people are and end up with lost accounts over it..

The annoying fact about the "community" if you can call it that is how zealot they are to label anything stupid that is outside there little box mindset and can never look past 5-6 months.. which honestly has angered me since the start a long time ago.. hell I even remember my first post was about how my husband basically quit the game due to forced role for the class, since his a warrior fan but hates tanking and not only was i serious about it .. but it had a valid point and it got labeled that .. Hell even when i made a post about wanting to join niddhogg/etc same thing I was serious and all that got labeled it..

and then the fact is one person sits there and pokes people with a stick over and over and over again, until the person snaps and tells them off and guess what the dumb gms on the forums don't look at the entire picture they just look at the one thing said and you can't even communicate with them, as they hide behind the screen about it.

Put if you state your opinion in the game/thoughts your told to bring it to the forums ... you bring it to forums and your gang attacked and it is labeled "stupid" or w/e .. hell i've gotton so angry at people on this forums I've punched my wall and ended up crying out of frustration... because second anyone outside the small mental box of the "community" states something .. the gms allow that person to be railroaded until they snap then they ban the person for what is a reasonable reaction

The only time I see threads like this "people complaining about the community" it invariably ends up that they're attention seeking victims who simply can't let go of the idea that their opinion has to be heard and accepted.
Not everyone will agree with you, and you can't make them. If they don't like what you have to say, doubling down and complaining about that won't do you any good.

idc if people agree with me or not, if you disagree thats perfectly okay if you go into it in a civil disagreement statement, say i disagree and give a detail reasoning of why you feel that way.. like a normal person..

You don't go off and say oh this is stupid oh your trolling because i disagree and post stupid pictures like all those "bait things.."

you want to disagree thats okay, but do so in a reasonable mannerism the community can't disagree correctly they go off on the person ... and label things without even having a NORMAL conservation about it..

like i disagree with many things i don't go off and label it and post a stupid img to try to set the person off, I take a seat back and try to label steps and reasons for my stance of disagreement...

and honestly, I'm glad the op posted this because about time someone brings it up, because seriously what people do to others on here is just .. i don't have a word for it...

some people are emotional, I'm one of them i type with my heart of things i think about it and feel id enjoy in the game on some level.. and when you type out details and stuff/reasoning and all that lovely stuff you hope to have a civil conservation about the subject, but instead it because a stressful situation where I'm having to run what i say 5/6 times through Grammarly to try to make it as good as I possible can, then having to stress over how people will take it and try to word it correctly to get the civil discussion about said topic...

and all that later someone screams this or that and can't have be a person about it and go into reasoning for the disagreement instead the .. "robot" screams the same labels non stop or post some stupid ass meme img

Well troll or not idk, but if see a lot if ppl against 1 dude right now. Even if he is attention seeking : the guys i see making fun of him in this thread are no better.

Bad opignons exist (heck i said some bad things too but i'm willing to learn) and i see a lot of ppl getting oversensitive when they see one. It's not always the "attention seeking" guys or the "snowflakes". FFXIV players are cool until they dissagree with you, until they see your ignorance too, say 1 bad thing and ppl will get salty fast.

I say : take a break from this forum, go do something else and don't count on others (at the very least choose wisely) if you are facing a problem. Many ppl will gladly let you die before moving a finger if you are in a difficult spot in your life.

If we're taking this thread at face value and in good faith...

This is one of those situations where I think that the prudent course is to take a break and step away from the forum if it is starting to cause someone stress. I hold the firm belief that although this place can be wild at times, it is still far more civil than many of the alternatives. For example, Reddit has a downvote system that is easily abused to punish anything that isn't considered to be 'group think'. Twitter, meanwhile is...well...it's Twitter.

Both also have no real rule against profanity and it's very easy to create 'dummy' accounts to circumvent bans.

I like to post here myself. It's fun. I've met some interesting people through this place! I don't take myself too seriously and I've certainly been faced with situations where someone's reaction to a post of mine has either rubbed me the wrong way or made me raise an eyebrow in utter bafflement.

Yet I don't let it get to me. If I see a thread or conversation go downhill, do you know what I do?

I take that frustration and go work out. I make myself stronger and pursue those gains. I see it as taking that negative energy and repurposing it into something more positive. Something that will benefit rather than harm me.

It may or may not work for other people, but it may be worth trying.

Im not taking this thread at good faith because OP's history of being overly sensitive and abrasive towards posters previously.

Bolded bit is true. As for how they act on Balmeme, from the few times I've seen them around over the years, they're just as bad as they are on here. Tossing them onto the blacklist solves that issue though. Shame the forum's blacklist doesn't stop you from seeing their created threads.

I doubt it's true, at all, and if you check his post history you'll see that he's made some pretty manipulative and 'bullying' posts in the last few months, which many of the 'bullies' remember and point out in response to his supposed victimhood

other people have linked threads that are several years old at this point and you'll see that he was doing similar things back then, too

First they need to figure out if the victim is a troll. If they aren't, then they can get them banned to funnel them to places with less rules and restrictions. Then the real "fun" begins.
