I wish it was a EU promo , would have loved to get the mount

Bought the candy, but the receipt just says "CHOCOLATE" instead of the brand name, so we'll see.

Please advise people which retailers they were purchased from-- as none of the information helps if the issue is "chocolate" on the receipt, compared to the actual name "butterfinger" on said receipt.

Heads up: if you have Walgreens in your area the receipts say “butterfinger” and whatever product size you got on the receipt.

I bought $5 worth of Butterfinger from Walmart. The larger package priced at $4.76 is listed as "CHOC", and the singular $.88 Butterfinger bar is listed as "BUTTERFINGER".

If it were account-wide, that'd be the same price as other account-wide mounts on the Mog Station. They probably just took a glance and saw some of them were higher-priced, and decided that sounded like a more enticing reward. At least they didn't see the whale or the carriage.

Start? Saw pre-order like pages on resale sites yesterday afternoon for 25 and 30 bucks. Sucks that there is also a limited quanity which is going to make the price double I bet overtime.

Also bought from Walmart list the name 'Butterfinger' along with most of the UPC numbers and it does or is able to be Uploaded from a phone website connected straight to my photo gallery and uploaded just fine.

Can confirm that Walgreens has theirs listed as Butterfinger on the receipt! However, the site (as someone mentioned) shows which sizes is considered acceptable for the receipt (as listed below):

this promotion only lasts "while supplies last" which means this promotion can end sooner then the end date given. which very well might happen since I've yet to have been given a response yet even though I submitted mine 47 mins after it started.

Some people seem to have gotten theirs already, but I submitted mine almost immediately after it started and haven't received a code yet. My guess is they might have an automated system scanning over some of the receipts and anything that passes gets it immediately, anything else has to be looked over manually.

Which only applies if they bother to enforce it, which they won't. It's just there so that if anyone complains about scalpers, they can point to that and say it's not their fault.

You can get this outside the US, the promo is for all North America (though I've been told by my Canadian friends that Butterfinger is difficult to find up there) Even then, when they did the same mount promotion in Japan, the codes could be redeemed on accounts on any data center. Which leads me to....

I don't think this is something they can enforce... like if I go to the store, buy a bunch of candy bars, get the code, then send it to my sister, they probably wouldn't know that the character isn't the same as the one I personally play. This seems more like a way for them to be able to go after people attempting to auction their codes online, especially people who might stockpile a lot of codes, and attempt to sell them for more than the cost of the candy bars.

For whatever reason when the promo went live, whoever is in charge of the site made the url they used go to a page saying the promotion was over.

I picked up 3 of the 6-pack fun size Butterfingers from Stop & Shop. Receipt says paid at 12:08 PM Eastern and I submitted a picture of the top half of the receipt with the quantity, price, and total at checkout clearly visible. I do not know if the photo has been flagged for review but I added up the price paid on my phone and it was .07 above the minimum. I got a e-mail saying it has been submitted at about 12:15 PM. Receipt for store says BTTRFNGR 6P 3.9Z so not Candy like others have reported. I imagine if you got a Shoprite near you it would say the same thing on the receipt

6hs - 7hs? I bought the bars like early in the morning before the event started and submitted right when submissions opened.

I submitted mine right at noon when the registration opened, got the approval email 3 hours later, and then about 3-4 hours after THAT got the mount in-game. Good luck!

I'm positively livid that they decided a limited quantity was an "okay" idea to begin with. 200k (sorry, 199,500 to be exact) is laughable when you consider that Aether alone has more than 150k current players, and that's 1 of 3 NA data centers :/ even if it was enough, any time a company does limited quantity, they're begging for scalpers to raise heck. I don't know if it was SE or Butterfinger that decided on a limit, but it doesn't make sense to me as to why any way I look at it. SE hasn't done limited digital codes before afaik, and you'd think Ferrero (Butterfinger's parent co) would want more sales. I'm leaning towards Butterfinger/Ferrero being at fault since their terms and conditions state "The approximate retail value of each Offer Item is $25" for a small, single-character, RESKIN mount which is absolute nonsense, since all single-character mounts on mogstation are $12 USD.

I'm just upset all around with this Promotion and how it was handled, and glad I checked reddit to see they were already out of stock before I wasted money on candy I hate.
