They've had zero qualms about putting several hairstyles in the game we cannot use, I doubt Viera and Hrothgar have anything to do with this.

That makes no sense either. There’s both old and new hairstyles (Wind Caller) that have been and are getting released without both races being able to use them. There’s current headgear these races can’t wear either.

Are the Japanese forums upset about this as well? If they have a thread about it, we can all go in and like the first post.

I don't understand the fuss over that hairstyle, it's ugly as crap to me but I do understand the frustration in wanting a hairstyle SE ignores the playerbase about.

Hold up why are they even limited in the first place? They know we been clamoring for hairstyles for years.

I don't think they ever said it was limited, they just keep forgetting to put it back on the vendor for Make It Rain every single year...okay, after this many years, I don't think we can say they're "forgetting"...clearly there's more to this and they're just being punks about it and not stating why it has never been re-added.

Well its all personal preference and clearly a lot of people want it. Some dont like it, some have it but won't use it.

I have it too but i know alot Friends they wait since 2 or more Years on it. All other "Unique" things put SE into the Shop, the Eureka "!" Emote for example. But not this Hair. Not into the Event Vendor, it is in the Shop, all can get it when they want it, then is the Drama about this complete finished. But SE idc about it. -.-

Did we had to buy it with MGP? Too long ago, I don't remember. But I think mixing up MGP purchases with real money purchases, even if it doesn't make sense at first glance, could be something SE tries to avoid because of legally issues regarding gambling.

Still they could bring it back for the event itself.

The hairstyle has a punk feeling to it, and for me that has value cause no other doo feels the same. B) There’s the one ponytail but I hate the way it pulls all your hair back. It’s nice otherwise.

But other than that— regarding gambling that is, it still doesn’t make sense because just about every other reward is either on the vendor or buyable on the Mogstation. It’s a lapse in logic and it breaks down any conceivable reason why they wouldn’t add it.

Or at least any reason that isn’t petty.

It is strange that they wouldn't include another way to get it when virtually every other reward is like that:

- Nobody queueing for Heavensward primals? You can pick up those lanner whistles from the moogles for tomestones by doing other events.
- Missed out on GARO? You can get the rewards from the sauces (albeit undyeable)
- Everything else has been chucked up there on Mog Station

I want to think that in the midst of the pandemic + everything, they simply forgot or didn't think there was such a demand OR perhaps they'll include it in some other thing like the next iteration of Bozja. I can't imagine there's any other reason why they wouldn't release it. In any case, I hope those who want it can get it and rock the look :)

I'm sorry, what event is this? The Make it Rain Campaign? I don't keep up on these things...

I'm pretty sure the gold saucer Garo rewards were removed as well. That was a limited (though long) time thing because of a licensing agreement with whoever owns Garo.

The rainmaker hair is a weird thing though. It's not from another IP, yet they refuse to either add it back into future events or put it on the shop. It's really rare of them not to do either with seasonal event rewards.

Yeah both Garo NPCs were removed in 5.1.

I'm wondering if there is some legal issue with Rainmaker, and SE's lawyers are telling them to be quiet about it. Like sombody decided it was theirs, is trying to sue, and everything is proceeding as at a snail's pace. Of course that would probably mean they would have to change M'naago.

M'naago is also the only custom delivery NPC that can't have her appearance altered, so you might be on to something.

Maybe the artist who designed her is having issues.

I doubt it's a copyright thing, the haircut is from the character Sice in Final Fantasy: Type 0 if I'm remembering right.

As for the dress up thing I think they just started implementing that after M'naago's was added, but maybe M'naago just doesn't want you deciding how she dresses especially given her role in the resistance.

Thing is intellectual property law is constantly changing and all it takes is someone to say "that's mine!" and get a lawyer to tie things up for a few years while they wait for a judge to throw it out.

What you say adds to the possibility that it might just be an artist, who works (or worked) at or with SE, who doesn't like the idea of everyone walking around with their creation and SE is respecting their wishes.

I'm just spitballing hoping somebody in authority will actually speak up.

I would have given M'naago a new quest where you say you like her hair, and she offers to teach you how to do it if you get her the all natural product she uses, like cactus nectar or antlion spittle. But then I like RPGs. :D

Nah, let's just sell it in itemshop. People will buy it in seconds, even for 20 euro.

Cash shop is probably the better of the options, no matter how much people who hate it want to complain. Just don't charge an arm and a leg for it; oy need it to be a few bucks.

What's to "consider"? It's a previous event item that's never been made available again, and was never announced to be limited or exclusive to that year. It should be brought back. I don't understand why it's not just available from the event vendor every year. Shouldn't have to pay real money for it.

Tbh I was hoping they'd just add it to the Gold Saucer permanently rather than making it a yearly reward. (i already have it but ) Would've been nice for people to get SOMETHING in place of the Halloween rewards that I don't see us getting for this year. It doesn't need to be in the cash shop.

Completely agree, I guess they're just weird about adding event items permanently.
