As someone who has cleared on every role, nearly every week since it released. Yes, PF can clear. Are some parties an absolute mess? Oh, yeah. But join any EX fight at level and they're equally a mess. I won't deny Unreal was poorly advertised as it's not an extension of Wondrous Tails. But at the same time, people need to "git gud" if we're being honest.

Its not that bad, but most the time we rather hit enrage if there are 2 tanks... and the positions... ugh... every other run you get thos 1-2 "i stand wherever i want!" guys lol

Imo it still sucks it wasnt tuned for 480-490 so we can overgear it slightly, ppl who just need some gear as their skill just isnt enough are pretty much screwed lol

Which is why I'm not entirely sure what the low ilvl sync is for in the first place, it certainly isn't for new players who just capped.

level sync is so they can easily recycle it later on

The idea seems to be that the unreal series of fights are going to be over-gearing proof. Sorta like the ultimates, but on fights that are exponentially easier. So even if they were tuned to 480, the sync would then be at 480 and all we accomplished is inflating the stats a little and forcing players to get one upgrade set beyond 80 before being able to try(in the mean time, nothing is stopping you from setting your party to lvl 490+ if you want to eliminate people who havent been at 80 for as long). And like Jekyll pointed out, Shiva only has like 3 mechanics that matter. Forgive me if this sounds elitist, but anyone unable to learn 3 mechanics really shouldnt be trying increased difficulty content. So all that leaves is learning how to play your class properly, and executing under pressure. These are things that can be learned and practiced, if someone cares enough. If not, they can look at the lackluster rewards from this content(so far anyway) and decide it isnt worth the effort/decide to buy them from the market instead.

THIS. So much this. Shiva is near empty in mechs with a lot, lot of uptime. It's not a dummy but it's quite close. Anyone knowing his class shouldn't meet enrage timer, and it is a good indicator that enrage timers on extreme primals nowadays are a joke.

This is indeed a thing, and it seems that the game is more and more made to accomodate these types of player, so we have to do with that, i don't think anybody should expect ffxiv to become any harder as it will keep going the opposite way, in my opinion

Blog Update dealing with UI changes tells us that it will now be possible to set Duty Complete in the PF. Most likely resulting in a little better groups (people that are new can no longer sneak in) while those that still need the clear will be rather frustrated. After all, the competent people won't have much incidence to join the practice groups.

All that does is make it harder for people like me who don't have statics or raid FCs to rely on to make a clear.

On the other hand, people who didn't have a clear yet but joined clear parties they weren't ready for made it harder for all the people who already spent their god knows how many hours in PF practicing only to be held back by people trying to sneak their way into parties that could potentially carry them. While I'm not saying everyone who doesn't have a clear yet wants to be a carried, you were powerless to stop those who do want to get carried by joining your party.
It goes both ways.
Everyone is free to make their own party with their own settings. You can still create a clear party without this requirement and find like-minded people.

None of this addresses the fact that this trial CANNOT be cleared in PF. Easy for you to just throw shade at a scapegoat, but that doesn't actually help the situation.

It can be cleared, people do it every week in PF. If PF can clear E8S they certainly can clear an old ex trial.

The no damage healer isn't being hard carried through the fight, so now the definitely can't be cleared in PF, despite the fact PF has cleared it for months. Big surprise.

Have you considered trying to press buttons during the entire fight instead of just
twice a minute? Might help.

You completely misread what I wrote, somehow I'm not even surprised.
PF clears it every week. But since you can't outgear it by a mile, everyone needs to pull their weight. Meaning people need to aim for decent uptime, use mitigation and use dps buttons on healer. PF clears much harder fights than Shiva unreal regulary.

I got all my clears over PF with various people. Sometimes it works out better, sometimes it's hell, sometimes the 5th pull miraculously is a kill.

Eh, tbh, NoDamageHealer could probably be carried with a solo-tank, provided everyone knows how to push buttons correctly on their jobs.

Imagine thinking pf can’t clear this fight lol. Day one in a pug cleared 3rd pull. It’s EZzzzz!!!! Almost a snooze. And Titan will be cleared in pf too. Just gotta be cut out for the content. Granted most aren’t but that’s their problem not ffxiv’s.

Help, i've fallen and i can't get up.
This is SUCH bullshit. Who thought it was a good idea? I fail one mechanic and now i am out of the fight PERMANENTLY! The rock prisons have TOO MUCH health and we can't free both players at the same time. The platform keeps getting smaller so when i need to dodge FIVE way landslides there's no space. Untelegraphed tankbusters is ALSO bullshit. Tanks have no time to react and i can't heal them fast enough and they die and i am sad. NERF THIS UNFAIR FIGHT! NO PF GROUP CAN CLEAR IT EVAR! *the post degenerates into unintelligible screeching*
