Where did you see this Crossblade trademark? I don’t see it in the US site

Crossblade sounds not so good imo.
though before 5.4 i can't even make a guess. depending on where the story goes I could see something like "Dark Frontier" being the title
dunno what will be the english name, but jp expanssion been named with at least one colour kanji since 3.0, now we have blue(azure), red(crimson) and black i'm pretty sure it willbe white next xd and colorless in 7.0 (where i assumed the game main story gonna end).
The names of the next expansions have been leaked:
Final Fantasy XIV: Phantom Blood
Final Fantasy XIV: Battle Tendency
Final Fantasy XIV: Stardust Crusaders
Final Fantasy XIV: Diamond is Unbreakable
Final Fantasy XIV: Golden Wind
Final Fantasy XIV: Stone Ocean
The Hat-en-ing.
I imagine the localization will again be a single word, but ideally not a compound one this time, e.g.
Genesis
Terminus
Eclipse
Solstice
Arrival
Reckoning
Renewal
Etc.
It's worth noting that unless much has changed since the ARR interviews, the names of most settings, plot-lines, and job skills are actually made first in English and Japanese is one of the localizations thereafter. The expansion titles may well be an exception to this, making it very likely that the 'color' based theme will continue (Blue, Red, Black, ...[White?]), but different localizations can certainly give off very different ideas with their titles. Even on the Japanese version of the game, though, it's the English title in large font, with the Japanese tucked into the corner. Even if we know the Japanese will always two kanji (one of which is a color) + の + any number of katakana or kanji and the Chinese is always two characters (no color required; used only for Stormblood) + 之 + two characters, it doesn't actually give us clear clues for our own English title.
Heavensward --> Ishgarde of the (Blue) Heavens
Stormblood --> Liberators of the (Red) Lotus
Shadowbringers --> ...Villains in Jet Black... (I mean, really?)
Hmm, Crossblade Eclipse would be a really cool name.
Apocalypse.
Shardbreakers. Time for another Rejoining!
Shardburst
Edit: Oh the person before me had the same idea.
I'd be super amused if it's actually Shard + b???
Just a reminder to those that are looking at trademarks, Covid permanently delayed everything by 2 months so what usually gets trademarked as an expansion name at this time would instead more likely be trademarked around October now.
My personal opinion is the naming should continue the compounded two word style and not a single one, it’s a rare style almost unique. And no, please not another S-B initials.
Hmmmm wild guess: Steel Born
1. Follows the S.B. abbreviation tradition
2. Reference to Garlemald
3. I think it sounds cool
