Chrono Cross only. Trigger is overrated.. give me more cross. :O
To answer honestly.. I just want a CROSS crossover... I couldn't care less for trigger. I'd take a FF9 event over Trigger any day. But Cross event over both.

As someone whose a big fan of both (and actually probably a bigger fan of CC, as much as I love CT), some of the complaints CT fans have about it aren't totally off base. With just a few tweaks, it could be it's own continuity without any ties to CT. It doesn't exactly NEED to be a sequel to CT, and it does multiple CT characters dirty. SPOILERS SPOILERS Aside from Lucca being killed as we learn pretty early on, Robo also shows up just to be anti-climactically deleted about 5 seconds later, and it's heavily implied Crono and Marle are dead too, presumably killed when Porre (a small town in CT, certainly not a major military faction) somehow manages to overthrow Guardia and begins taking over the world. It's a bit of a punch to the gut that doesn't have any real pay off. And aside from that, CC plays like almost an entirely different game. Instead of a small group of fleshed out (for an SNES rpg) characters, we get 45 characters, many/most of whom are 1 note gimmicks, and even the more fleshed out characters still don't get as much focus as they could have if they were the only recruitable characters.
After saying all of that, I reiterate that I think I liked CC more than CT. As a stand alone experience, without comparing everything to CT, it's great. The setting is cool, the music is still some of the best in the medium, the combat is fun, and even if they aren't all that fleshed out, having the wide variety of characters to choose from is fun in it's own way, and the story is dark and interesting (at least before it completely loses the thread at the very end), and having to play as a new character for a third of the game was an exciting twist, along with having to build up a brand new party since your old party refuses to work with you during that time. I like CC a lot, and will say that even though some of the complaints about it are fair, a lot aren't.
That said, I think CT would make a better raid series. It's more iconic, and it has 2 tiers that are already primed and ready to go. Black Omen (One of the mutants, One other boss, Mammon Machine, and Zeal) and Lavos itself (All 3 existing stages of Lavos plus make one more, or make it the time devourer, adding some CC to it right there), just come up with one more tier and you are already golden.
Any misgivings about Chrono Cross's plot aside, I would enjoy a raid series that's a full reference to the series. Especially if we got Harle as a companion NPC for it. I don't care much for Cross's plot, but I love me some Harle.
Yes! It would be a dream come true of mine.
Chrono Trigger is one of the most important games of my childhood. I am more nostalgic for Chrono Trigger than almost any other game.
I would think about Chrono Trigger for hours upon hours as a child, listen to the soundtrack anywhere I could. Create stories in my head about it, and all sorts of things.
I own Chrono Trigger for every single platform except iOS. I own it on SNES, Super Famicom, PlayStation, Nintendo DS, Wii Virtual Console, Android, and Steam.
I can't well explain how happy it would make me.
I only played like 10 minutes of CT. I have the game on both SNES and PS1, but never felt compelled to play it. I played a good bit of CC, but when I got so far and my save file got corrupted after a particularly difficult fight I haven't played it since. In either case I'd like a crossover if only for more content, minions and mounts
CHRONO Cross is one of my favorite video games of all time, it Would be easily in my top 3. I’d like any form of crossover with it.
I mentioned in a post here in the forums before that I would like to have the swallow (double-ended blade spear) weapon that Serge uses for my DRG.
Chronotrigger crossover yes.
Chrono Cross not so much... The story to me felt lacking and a majority of the recruitable characters either felt shallow design wise or were just overly annoying.
Would love to, but I don't see it happening since both games are really old by now with no plans to do a remaster or continuation.
