Totally uncalled for. But I'm sure you got your jollies in by typing this.
To the OP, I agree with another poster. If you know you did nothing wrong, then chalk it up to the party you had as being jerks and get into another party.

To add to this, a small communication when duty starts goes a long way and will prevent these conflicts. Many otherwise passive-agressive players will turn friendlier and offer advices if you say you are new. In PotD you can ask if they don't mind if you get some silver chests for upgrades (they'll usually say they don't mind even if they prefer a faster run).
Well, that's rather strange. Some posters are happy to give the original poster the benefit of the doubt and assume she did absolutely nothing wrong - but then when a different poster makes a playful joke, they assume it was made with vicious intent. How odd!
Some of you saying you report people often, may I ask why?
I think in all my years gaming I’ve reported maybe one person. It was in Aion I think around 2009ish. I was playing on a PvP server and these two guys ganked me. One of them then started talking trash. He let loose with some homophobic slurs.
For some reason it really got to me and I reported him. I got a message from a GM saying the guy was suspended. Don’t know if that was true. But anyway, that’s the last time I reported anyone.
Most of the time I just get on with my life.
A lot of people will not stick their heads above the parapet due to how vague the TOS are and how open to GM interpretation they can be. Whether or not that aligns with the reality of how GMs enforce them, it is nonetheless how a lot of players perceive the situation. Between those who can't handle criticism and bad faith actors, it's easier just to silently remove people...
The OP is sparse on details, and I can think of several reasons why someone might be removed from POTD, with the most common being chasing chests when the party mainly wants a fast clear, and the other being rushing into rooms and triggering traps. The OP may think there's nothing wrong with that but other players are not going to share that view. Usually for someone to just be removed on the final floor, it would suggest they behaved particularly egregiously. Of course there may be other reasons but we will never know and hopefully a GM will get to the bottom of it. :)
There's likely more to this story that we will never know, and we'll never know how it ends, but to borrow an image from an earlier user:

This is basically all that is LIKELY to happen. It doesn't mean something else would be done, but I can't see them doing much else. Also, people are so report happy now, in game, that I wouldn't be surprised if a quiet vote kick goes out and someone is removed without a word. If you question DPS, they'll assume parser. If you question healers or tanks they're likely to be ornery or upset at the accusation. It's a no-win situation. So the better option is to silent kick.
PoOr TRolLing. Lol, maybe you should play the actual game, instead of talking on forums?
Someone actually went to forums after they got kicked to make a thread, implying, that "they" can't read/understand of what happened, when "they" just could google it, 3 seconds of actions. Magically, people of GCBTW began to defend poor little noobie and telling, that kicking now is HARASSMENT and now even triggering when someone made a joke about this absurd situation. What a dark times we live in.
All you can really do to avoid this situation is do the content with friends or people you know. You were probably doing something the other members in your party were unhappy with. They didn't want to stick their neck out by typing something incriminating so they opted to silently remove you instead.
It's not really fair to you but the best thing to do is just move on really.
I've had this done to me during the final boss of the Nier raid. Some guy got angry because I used the DPS Lb3 then yapped on about how I didn't deserve the coffer. Ironically enough the next attempt yielded it for me.
Did report them though.
You just had back luck and the RNG gods gave you a group of unpleasant people. It happens.
As today, there too little to no tolerance to new players and in palace you may meet "speedrunners" that gets mad if you dare to visit a room looking for the blue coffers you need to level your level 1 weapon.
I'd suggest you to make runs with the friends you will surely will get over time, and maybe try to run palace even solo! it is a great school for learning how your job and skills works, more you go far in the palace more you have to be skilled, a nice challenge. Maybe you're a Necromancer in the making!!! Good luck!
I get the whole kicking players for "difference of playstyles" but the group not saying anything to them and then waiting until the final boss fight/floor to initiate the kick sounds like they had the intent to make it as harsh as possible, which seems like an abuse worth reporting.
I had this just happen during frontlines while I was mounted and running from spawn to battle with 8 minutes left on the match. How do we report abuse to prevent this from happening? Very annoying especially since I have to work in 30 minutes and now I'm needing to queue for something I was nearly done with for the day.
Zzzz to the people thinking a silent kick will yield a ban. LOL. That is the way to do it in this game. Anything you say in game can and will be used against you, if you give them nothing, they can't prove why they got kicked and no disciplinary action gets taken. Sadly trolls use this mechanism as well.
But as an honest player if I ever have to kick someone I never say anything. And wouldn't recommend anyone do. Doesn't happen often thankfully.
There is a reason everyone in this game has been silenced. o/ , o7 , and GG is what is left.
I did that to a guy once but he was really asking for it.
Same place of PotD. We were doing one of the first 50 and this guy kept yelling at us to go straight to the gate.
I was max AP and so was another but one random guy was new so we wanted to boost their AP getting Silvers. Well the other guy was having non of that and would just run straight to the gate and sit there even if not open yet. We told him if he doesn't help we were going to kick him. He just remains silent the rest of the time.
We gave him a chance to change their tune but they don't. So right on the last floor we just kick him and I think another guy takes his place almost immediately. They were grateful for half a floor followed by a boss.
2 year necro thread btw.
If the duty is almost up, and provided it hasn't been excessive then I don't think there's really any circumstance to kick - Just complete the duty and don't be spiteful about it. If there's a reason to kick, kick them early. No point in 'waiting for maximum effect' - That essentially borders on harassment and misuse IMO.
Unfortunately, though, people can kick at any time and for whatever reason they so wish - Especially since 'difference in playstyle' is an allowable 'reason/justification' - and that in and of itself pretty much covers most things that would constitute harassment or misuse, really.
I would just recommend taking this on the chin, regardless of whether it was or wasn't warranted, people kick for the most obscene and random reasons in Deep dungeon.

I love the shirt I got similar to this. It has kids sitting around a pentagram with Santa tied up in the center.
