Its good to hear I'm not alone in this!

Its odd sometimes, isnt it? More than once I glamoured something or at least tried something on thats a bit shorter or "cuter" (like the current Valentino-outfit, Eddas dress, the maid-outfit...) and while it looked quite nice at first glance, it just started to feel "wrong" after running around in it a bit - for some outfits it was even something along the lines "Okay, this looks good from the front, but seeing it from the back... I cant - glamour, please!"

Yep, been there, too. "Oh sure, I'll glamour this!" Next thing I know, I'm re-applying my previous plate. Slut-glams never really seem to work either, especially the 2B pants. I think it's because we are so much bigger that you can really see the flaws in the model with those, but everything else feels... I don't know. Like not enough. The Copied Factory gear is about the cutest I can go before it starts pushing that weird edge for me.

Edit - I will say, though, that I enjoy the Bunny Chief Tights, oddly enough. Usually I find a thigh-high boot and a chest piece that covers just enough to make it not look like I'm just wearing a bikini, but still leave enough open to see a bit of the fishnet leggings. I would absolutely kill for these tights without the tail, so I could use some different chest pieces and not have that thing poking out.

I'd also like Rinoa Heartillys outfit since we have a variation of Squalls. As well as Garnets orange jumpsuit since we only have Zidanes. As far as ff 13 outfits, I'd like Fangs outfit and Vanilles as well. I still dont understand the lack of female FF Outfits compared to the Males. It comes off abit like SE is out of touch.

Yeah, I'm still slightly mad that the Edda outfit didnt end up looking good on Vidu - and I can even see past (most) clipping issues and "pixelation" (if it bothers me to much I can just take off my glasses and everything becomes one blur!).
It just really feels like every (short) piece of clothing could do with an inch more fabric to cover as much as they do on other races.
...in regards to real cute-stuff... I put Vidu in pink pigtails and a pink Kimono for little ladies day once to fit the event. Never have I changed an event-glamour this fast again.

But hey, thats okay! I didnt want to play a cute character in the first place - and was going more for one that hits you in the face with a more... unconventional elegance and beauty. Or with her fist if you bother her.

In regards to that second part I totally agree! As weird as it sounds: As long as half her legs are covered - doesnt matter which half - it looks fine to me! Miniskirt with knee length boots work for me (except for the slight personal discomfort I have when it comes to miniskirts since I personally find them very uncomfortable to wear, so I dont want to subject Vidu to that - yes, thats a bit weird)!
Discovering this a while ago actually made me come up with the "the legs are to long"-theory - I always considered Vidus extremly pale skin to play a role in that aswell, kinda highlighting those very long legs.

The males can be made unisex with less hassle, I assume - since most of them are given out as veteran rewards they probably wanted to go for outfits that would look good on both genders.

I'm all for getting some of the female-outfits, though - and personally I think they shouldnt be genderlocked. If a guy wants to wear Rinoas dress, let them.

The post I have quoted in my signature (as of the date of this post) goes into full detail on it. And it's so disheartening. I always knew something was off, but I never quite knew until I saw what it was.
