Which Job you want next?

I would like a Time Mage as a healer. Now that they took away all of ASTs cool time stuff they could give it to a Time Mage. And maybe their regular cure spell could work like Plenary Indulgence used to, where healing people gives them a buff you can pop later for more healing.

Eventually we’ll get all jobs from xi

I want Blue Mage to be an actual job...

Mystic Knight and Chemist

Blitzer (Range DPS)
-Uses blitz ball for combat, debuffer.

Demon Hunter or shaman job

Geomancer, or some kind of spiritual exorcist job that can banish demons using fire. Something like Rei from Sailor Moon.
Chemist, but not using guns.
And lastly, Blue Mage as a real job. Until it's upgraded to one that can use duty finder with other people (not just a party of blue mages) I refuse to touch it.

Geomancer is a giving of course Just unsure if they’ll make it into a DPS or a Healer

I want somthing left field like a Ranged Tank or a Physical healer..funny enough we almost had that *sigh*

I wanna be a Green Mage, they can use hammers for all you hammer wanting people. But I love the class since it's a buff/debuffer class and that's my favorite type of class

A new healer. It can be anything, Chemist, Geomancer, Time Mage , Necromancer, Dancer 2 The Revenge or whatever, I don’t care as long as it’s a healer.

I imagine, usuing deduction, that the next classes will be healer, and a new gathering class. We JUST got a tank so that's a hard no, we JUST got a dps, so that's a hard no, we lack a healer and new gathering class. Keep your expectations real people.

I'd kinda like to see a more fleshed out Bishop Healer (the Bangaa only job from FFTA)

I would like to see a time mage sorta like what the crystal exarch is and it be a support dps.

But given thier reasoning making dnc a ranged dps. We only have 2 areas that only have 3 jobs in left. So another physical ranged, and a healer next go probably.

Why do we need a new gathering class, the three we have are just fine.

Got a few ideas for new classes:

Healer: Chemist. The weapon would be a kinda siege crossbow/catapult mix (Think like a steampunk grenade launcher and you wont be far off), it would be focused of defensive buffs and regens and its visual aesthetic would be plauge doctor-ish.

Tank: Necromancer. The weapon would be a mix of a two handed flail and a thurible (That thing priest have that smokes). It'd be the Pet user of the tanks. Its visual aesthetic would real Witch King of Angmar style.

Magic DPS: Mystic Knight (Or 'Rune Fencer' or something). The weapon would be some form of eastern sword (think scimitars or the like) held in the left hand while the right hand wields magic. The playstyle would be a kind of inverse Red Mage, insomuch as you would preform a melee rotation to access high powered magic spells, it would also fight predominately at close range. Visual aesthetic wise.. ok look, I saw Baahubali kinda recently, so the visual for this one is the gear Amarendra wears most of the time.

Ranged DPS: Gun Mage. The weapons would be a pair of simple flintlocks and a huge ass rifle/magic staff hybrid. Mechanically they'ed be half way between Samurai (Instant cast rotation builds toward channeled special attacks) and an inverted Dancer (shit tonnes of debuffs). Haven't pinned down an aesthetic for it yet.

Limited: Universalist (Name Pending). The weapon would be some kind of magic...hand...thing that would manifest ghostly weapons as skills would require, defaulting to MNK animations when auto-attacking. Its the Armiger, all right? Mechanically it would be a job where you could use skills from all other jobs you've leveled with no restrictions. Would probably require a resource bar of some kind.

Gimme that Chemist.

In terms of Limited Jobs, Puppet Master and Onion Knight would be very nice additions. There are lots of minions in the game, especially gadget-based minions. It would be lovely to have a job that could do more with minions as a whole. Similarly, I like the idea of Onion Knights in how they start off terrible, but near cap they ironically become the toughest job around. I would imagine them using Maiming gear, especially since the Maiming Gear from Crystal Tower's Labyrinth of the Ancients is based on the Onion Knight.

Monk come like SMN/SCH as two jobs from one job

i wonder if SE/yoshi is going to keep adding new jobs or start doing advance version of current class one day. most of the class that we have now is pretty much the "core" class in any fantasy setting. if they make something like... shadow for example, it kinda lost it hype since it just a twin class of NIN, but if they make shadow as further class extension from NIN, it seems make more sense to me.

but i never see any FF game that do this, not even FFXI, doing advance class like from Ragnarok online game

So definitely healer. I'd be up for BLU being totally re-worked into it. Chemist/Geomancer is also another option

And as always, as unpopular as that's going to sound with the game, Necromancer or "evil magic" type of caster.

Mystic Knight enspeller spellblade magic imbuing into the sword tank. Probably curved swords to fit the game more. Rotating between fire, ice, and thunder (or more) stances as part of rotation, with each stance having access to differently modified skills.

I would love an actual pet job like bst or pup (pup especially although bst would likely win since it could be more flashy). One that relies and fights through their pets and not the lame excuse for a pet job they call a smn, where pets are barely an afterthought.

I only play this job, along with leveling gathering and crafting, so I don't really care what other DOW/DOM jobs are available, since I'll never level / play one.

Warlock and/or Necromancer. In the case of both 1 focused on heavy debuffing and the other on undead minion management.


Berserker, a warrior with a heavy weapon or 2 heavy weapons in each hand (melee DPS of course).

It is a rather questionable result though because on one hand if a X or Y Job evolves from Z Job but players did not level them before hand they will complain "it is not fair" because they had no interests in that Job until the new Advance X and/or Y job is released.

On the other hand the best part of this is that they can get creative with the Job and how the advancement changes between the X and Y job such as for Samurai can become more focused on the Sword thus adding a Tachi as a second sword for their left hand while their katana is for their right hand or become a Mordern Assassin with their katana for their right hand and a pistol for their left hand to represent them moving towards a more modern age combat style with the introduction of firearms to combat while keeping a bit of their katana skills for close quarters combat.

Time Mage.

kinda like to see a limited "Warrior of light " job that gets to do special reworked dungeons and 8 (hell maybe even 24) man raids by himself. kinda like the hero class from PSO II

also a healer class...ANY healer at this point...

Like others have said I’d love a Chemist job.

Also a real Bard job lol, not Archer. Hell I’d take Bard as the new healer and make Archer stay DPS.

A healer that doesn’t have to make DPS’ing their absolute their priority would be nice too, maybe one that heals/damage through buffing like how Dancer attacks through buffing with steps.

For me it is still the Sword/Gun Job hopefully a Modern Assassin DPS Job and Chemist as the healer Job.

Chemist Healer Job is something they have a good opportunity to provide a interesting gameplay and Job storyline even if it is only 10 levels now involving a Chemist whole was a member of developing Black Rose but decided to use Chemist skills to develop chemicals that can heal and save lives rather than only take them as atonement for his or her involvement with Black Rose Creation.


Sword/Gun Modern Assassin DPS Job is my #1 pick always but the Job story may be a interesting one if it relates to Garlean origins as a organization that is highly skilled as corporate Saboteurs and Espionage task within the Garlean Empire as the Higher ranking members of society is known to have internal conflict with each other for position of power. Thus the Job involves more of the "Criminal Underworld" side of the Garlean Empire.

It will probably be Viking(two handed axe) and Chemist due to them being related to Garlean territory. I would like a Necromancer.
Hammers are already and finally useable for Warriors. I guess this is thanks to slashing debuff being removed.
I posted this one about Puppetmaster some months ago. But seeing as they gave most of the things I wanted for Gunbreaker and Machinist already, its chances are close to none.

They basically made Gunbreaker a high-tech version of Mystic Knight.

Definitely no more melee or tanks until all roles/sub-roles have 4 full jobs (BLU doesn't count). Definitely some sort of healer needs to be added. Maybe a 4th physical ranged, though it's a bit soon after DNC and a Caster dps (Again BLU is not a full job so it doesn't really count towards the 4 job limit IMO).

More than anything I'd like another Healer. They've passed over Healers two expansions in a row and we're long overdue for one.

My first desire would actually be Chemist. In addition to being an implementation of a classic Final Fantasy Job, the mix mechanic provides a lot of fun ideas for how to do heals (maybe something similar to Mudras or Dances?) and the idea of a more scientific healer would provide it a nice class fantasy. If we're really going to Garlemald next expansion, having a scientific healer would be cool too.

Geomancer, Druid, Plant mage.... something along those lines.

Healers: Chemist/Salve-Maker, Mystic/Oracle or Geomancer
Ranged Phys: Probable a slinger or sabotuer{cant think of anything off the top of my head)
Caster: Sage, Necromancer

none to be honest. 3 tanks 3 heal and alot of dps is more than enough. considering half the players cant figure out how to tank heal or dps... dont see them struggling even more xD

Those that cant play now wont be any different with more options... There are plenty who can manage all the existing jobs.

I had free time lately, I made a concept of chemist, a healer with insta cast and a bit lower potency, no use of mp, only to boost your potency or certain skills.

but yeah.... A healer

Chemist Healer

Spell Fencer that’s a magical melee dps rather than ranged magical

Rune Knight maybe with a big hammer!
