i'm so glad you had to tell me, you sound very secure in your decision

As much as I am a kitter at heart, and have been a Miqo'te from ARR - although I did take a 3 year break and made a new character because I couldn't remember how to DO anything, I made that character a Au Ra for about a week, then went back to Miqo'te - I did go Viera as soon as we could, and I actually prefer it even with the limitations. So lovely and elegant - and we will get more headgear and hairstyles when they have time to fuss with the modeling. My other wish is that they do some animations for the ears - make them twitch and swivel, even just a little.
that because of 10 bucks paywall, i guess
not even see much ronso either, if they are free then alot of guy will change for sure
I'm in love with my bunny. I played Elezen for most of the time and decided to switch to bunny as soon as they hit. They are not a perfect race and I'´m happy for that.
I wish I had more hairstyles. I wish I could use my HoH hairstyle. I wish their ears would wiggle like the cat ears at the end of a dungeon.
But maybe their imperfection is the reason at least Spriggan isn't overpopulated with bunnies. I do enjoy my character and I have no intentions of going back.
Edit: Even though I switched right with early Access it seems that the Forums aren't up to date with my choice :D
Eh, I'm on Odin - I see more bunny girls than the rest actually. A lot of folks seemed to have switched over. Strangely enough, there aren't that many Hrothgar - there's a few, don't get me wrong. But not enough to make me go 'Ah, these guys are extremely popular, like that of Balmung'. Eh, different servers have their own saturation.
We never got a free fantasia with Heavensward, stop spreading misinformation.
The "free" fantasia was bundled into both Collector's Editions, it did not come with the pre order. The pre order bonus was the Black Chocobo Chick along with the Baron (DK Cecil) glamour items.
I'm still on the fence. If I could be a male bunny I'd probably switch over right now, but as it is, there are too many cons. Like the combat voices which are terribly screamy and annoying, plus the fact that I'd lose access to many of my mogstation outfit purchases which are male only.
They're not as good looking as I expected them to be.
They're not ugly as such but I found it hard to make something I liked, and in general I find them a little too 'uncanny valley' looking.
I don't see the Viera as rare at all. I've seen a bunch everywhere, both running around and in duties. Maybe some will change back, but there's a lot that are quite happy with their changes, as well as with Hrothgar players.
Y'all can't just let people have something. It always has to be "oh just wait until the hype dies down" or "hah it's not as popular as you all thought". Just leave it alone for once.
Really? All I see are Viera now lol
So far I like the Viera a lot, (except the voice! lol)
But I am just as pleased with her as when I played a kitty or Au’Ra.
I am LOVING my heels and the way she looks in her glamours :) Her height is not an issue for me.
Granted I am prone to changing race a few times a year just for the change! I'm glad they added this race with the #1 "bestest" shoes in game thus far (lol) ;);)♥
Wayyy too early to declare it "didn't take off". And for that matter there is quite a few viera running around already.
I see tons of Viera in world and in duties. I also see many Hrothgar which I expected to see fewer of.
They aren’t everywhere in my server but I see quite equal amount of Hrothgar and Viera in my server and data centre
Probably because of the genderlock and the limited hair and headgear options. Also many aura and miqote players may enjoy being small and cute, so viera isn’t an immediate draw.
I’ve seen plenty of bunnies around, but you are right, I was honestly expecting more despite the limitations just because they are new.
Viera turned out to be a lot taller than I imagined. It's either that or people enjoy their tiny characters. I'm not at all complaining about my decision to change, however, I absolutely adore the race and even with all their imperfections.
In my server are super common and a full Viera party is not that rare.
Watch as the rare and endangered hrothgar queues up their duty roulette, beautiful.
I'm usually surrounded by Viera though, I figure it cut the miqo/au'ra population in half at least. makes sense.
Nothing will bring me down from loving to play my Viera I'm sure they will be fixed and made better with the coming patches!
I'm like the only Miqo'te in ShB. On day 1, all I could see is bunny bun naked booty in my screen whenever I would talk to an NPC. Everyone was showing off their bun bun booty. In ShB zones, it's pretty much slutty/naked glams on the buns. I imagine Yoshi P saying "This was a mistake".
It seems to be a pretty balanced mix on Jenova so far. I've seen plenty of buns, hrothgar, but a fair amount of kitties and dragons as well.
??? I'm seeing bunny girls everywhere. Everywhere.
They're making up about 60-75% of the people i see out questing.
I have seen a maximum of 2 Hrothgar since i started leveling, and i'm 77.
I've seen a lot of Viera on my server. I am starting to love the one I just created and definitely like them more than Miqo'te and Au ra.
Seems the world is largely saturated with rabbits and cats who, much to my surprise, GET ALONG! I encountered a small bun-nyan group gathered for a public photo-op in Limsa Lominsa and obliged them with my presence. They seemed rather pleased to have their wonton revelry tamed with a little Lala modesty.
Cats are still Queen, and always will be. Meow.
Well unfortunately I changed to Viera, but I am going to change BACK to AURA, I also am not going to be playing for a couple of days, in that time hopefully the " SERVERS ARE FULL" MESS WILL BE RESOLVED, it's frustrating trying to log in 10 times in a row and the numbers don't change. I have better things to do than waste my time!
I love my Viera. I love how tall they are, the cute animal-like faces, all the standing idle animations are nice and they actually have a butt (though that disappears with some gear...) I cant wait for SE to add more hairstyles and hopefully more high heel shoes. Great job SE ^^ I played Miqote since 1.0 and FemRoe for about 1 year, Viera is exactly what I wanted out of both of those races; tall, cute, fierce and animal-like.
I've seen quite a few. There's at least one Viera in every duty I've done, and Zalera has no shortages of either Hrothgar and Viera. I'm more surprised Hrothgar is fairly represented. I thought for sure they'd be as rare as a unicorn
I see them a lot though.
I've even seen people who started new characters in Early Access JUST to play a Viera.
Not at all. I find it difficult to play any tall character after playing a lalafell. The different camera angle is disorienting and makes even well known places unfamiliar.
In spite of my earlier critical thread, I find myself liking Viera. They look both cute and formidable. This lalafell definitely wouldn't want to get on the bad side of one.
Yeah, playing another race with a significant height difference really messes with you. I was a Roe since I started playing the game then switched to Lala for a bit during early Stormblood. Everything was so big, and pulling mobs became a bit scary because I couldn't see myself and everything was so large. It was a fun adjustment phase, but went back to Roe for the rest of that expansion.
I like being tall; dunno how the Lala does it. It's nice that the Hrothgar are about the same height-wise.
The reason I went with Helion is it was the only one that allowed tan (more natural) skin colors. If the Lost had offered all of the color spectrums, I probably would have gone with Lost, but in the end I really love my guy. He just turned out the way he was meant to be.
Still think they should open up all hair color, fur color and skin color options to both Helion and Lost though.
I really like my Viera, and as of yet I have not felt the urge to change back. Usually I bounce between Miqo'te and Au Ra, but I feel like I finally found a race that fits better. (And as a female IRL, I like how Viera separates me from those dudes who make little anime waifu characters out of their miqote and Au Ra.)
