The entire thing all the meta players are missing is that what made Astro 'fun' for those of us playing it, is that it had a neat mechanic to it.

Most people playing Astro play it likely because they DONT want to just stand there in one spot, throwing out heals, and doing absolutely nothing else. The card system gave us 'something else' to do, to keep us entertained, and having 'fun'.

With ShB, the entire mechanic is 100% gone. Essentially replaced with 2 skills we use every so often while we stand in one spot doing nothing but throwing around heals.

We may as well just roll WHM's and make sure everyone in our group had 99-stacks of the Braised Pipira, or Tree Toad Leggs foods (depending on if their mele or magic) in their inventory so they can give themselves a 30-minut, last through deaths, buff that is equal to the 1 button Astro's get to press now between healing once every 3 minutes.

I can assure you if you give a NIN a arrow they will hate you to the end of time.

Other than that it just feels like we are going around and around with circles. I do say that the cards needed changes, but I do agree that having everything becoming balance is a waste. Personally, I like them and if you don't that is okay.

It's not the path I would have taken. They had the opportunity to go one way, potentially even just dropping the damage buffs and make the cards more meaningful to the Astrologian specifically, but they went to the other extreme.

I need answer for the following question from you two, would you agree if SE did the following changes:
DRG to only have Spineshatter Dive as their only jump.
NIN with Suiton as their only Ninjutsu.
BRD Mage's Ballad as their only song.
SAM Midare Setsugekka as their only Iaijutsu
If it means those jobs would be optimal for the last raid tier for a given patch?

I can't believe some of the post I read, like AST is a sitting duck and useless when they couldn't draw a balance just so they can shove off a few secs of their raid speed runs "Sorry guys, I'll be useless for the next 30 seconds, got an Arrow and then a Bole"
