basically every mmorpg out there when you enter raid, dont hate the game son, hate the people.

Sorry OP your behavior indicates that YOU are the reason they kick you from groups not your playskill and dont want you as part of thiers. You smack of antagonistic, Self centered Ego,and overall Dren attitude. It's not the raids that are the issue it's your obvious need to pretend your better than everyone else and appearently getting disproved of that notion rather quickly. I certainly wouldnt even want to be in an alliance raid with someone like you've exhibited yourself to be even if you are in a completely different alliance group your behavior and attitude are absolutely atrocious.
SaberMaxwell is trying so hard to defend the game so i wonder....Yoshi-san is that you???
Jager, Language! lol
He is not talking about the toughness of the raid.
I agree with few points:
1.One room One boss.I really do not like this.It doesn't give you a feeling of raid.By saying this i don't mean "OK other games have different type of raids so FF should has the same" Raid in general gives the meaning of "Bigger Fights" in the MMORPG genre.I think 24 man raids are more satisfying because of that reason.
2.He is not wrong about the raiding community. If we make a whole population graph about the player types, raiders would have the 15% at max i suppose. It is a really small community and it is kind of understandable if they refuse to accept newcomers. We all know that if you do not have a core,long-lived static group,it is not going to work.(At least most of the time). So what raiders do?They ask for previous DPS logs etc from other players which new players do not have.As i said,it is understandable but it is also partially game's design fault.First,Raids are already hard so it is easier to make a mistake, next it is 8 players only so one mistake means wipe(Sometimes even lower DPS),it is just a small community so no one wants to waste their time for newcomers and list goes on.All of them together creates VOLTON in front of you while you are holding a stick.
Goodluck!
As I said for the first point. It is a valid complaint, but it's still subjective. You'll find some that love and some that don't.
As for the second point, I would disagree here. You can easily find pugs for all the current tier raid. As I'm writing this right now, there's a fresh practice for O9s, farming party for O10s, Panto prog for O11s and clear group for O12s (and right now is not even the time for a lot of players to be active).
I have completed all savage raids this expansion without having a static. I've pugged them all at my free time starting from fresh practice for each fight and joining the appropriate prog parties after till I reach enrage then I jump to clear ones after I optimize my DPS. And there are times where I don't find the appropriate prog level group so I make my own. Yes, sometimes it can take an hour to fill up or a couple of minutes, but that's based on what time of the day you're playing at. So I never dealt with log issues for clear runs, since they can't even discuss it in game chat. And people only bother to check your logs if it was a weekly run.
I don't know how things are done on EU servers, but here in NA, we always start by joining practice runs (AKA fresh or blind run). Then we jump to the appropriate phase prog group based on how far you reached in the practice run. When you reach enrage, that's when you start joining clear groups. And once you clear, you start joining weekly runs. And there's always parties up for different types of progs. Statics only post in Party Finder if they needed a sub for one of their members. But they also post in their party description if they're a practice, prog, clear or weekly.
01/08/2018. Deltascape Savage was released 07/17/2017.
Either way I don't really think it matters if he completed it or not. It doesn't change the fact that his unwillingness to make his own parties is what's hurting him.
As for the lack of love for the current raid style that comes down to personal preference. I personally didn't care for Alexander's style of raids when I went back and did them, though I wouldn't mind variation every now and then, but that's just my take on it. Then again I'm not a raider and don't really care to be one at the moment. So my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.
Oh nah, I am just wondering how lodestone actually work since some able to see a certain achievement, while others can't. In my case, I didn't see any achievement at 01/08/2018 at all. I only saw 01/09/2018 for "I am savage delta, I am the savage omega I".
He did clear it though, I'm sure because of the mount, but I guess Lodestone is being Lodestone?
edit: Oh wait, that musta be timezone.
Good on him, he actually did beat it. Not when it was new, but he did beat it. Agreed with your conclusion, his biggest enemy is himself.
Why single me out? I'm far from the only (or best) person to bring up that this person is his own worst enemy here lol.
2.See,this is my point.Do you realize how much progress you need to do before even joining in actual raid group that can complete it?You explained it clearly so i will not go over it again but he is a new player and there is no way that he can realize people's acceptance raid. Can you tell that you would be accepted in to a final group without doing any of them you mention before? We,old players can easily understand the way of doing this.It will seem to us like a basic logic,on the other hand new players cannot realize this easily. This will be the steps they follow.Look for parties on the PF>find a party(and it will probably be a completion group)>join the party>get rejected by the party>try finding practice parties on Duty Finder>Wait 30 min and got nothing(This is where complaints start)>realize that you need to find practice parties on PF too>Join one of them>Wipe after few seconds>Give up and create a thread on the forum.
Well if you see the enrage state with the practice group, you can label your "Practice"party as GOD TIER.
I played in both NA(Gilgamesh) and EU(ODIN) more than one years each.Actually i recently transferred to Odin.I can easily tell that in EU, it is far worse.See even in this tread first thing that some of them did was looking for his achievements.
For everyone saying that he has a mount and so he cleared.
He didn't clear o4/8s while they were relevant he cleared/got carried/bought the run with echo, my guess.
I saw him once at Seiryu he did bad and blamed the part and for bad I mean really bad.
I'm sorry, not sorry. Hate the whiners and people full so full of theirself that blames others instead of accepting they'rent the best in the world when its obviously to everyone the contrary.
*If you're looking to offend me I've just came back from army 1 month ago, i didn't current raid tier, peace (y)
I am not trying to single you out.I agree with you but he actually has some good points. It shows the true viewpoint of beginners.Every expansion we are building everything on top of our previous experiences. We are cool but newcomers have to jump from the beginning to the endgame. Dev team is also aware of this but they built the game twice and they cant change the core again(Even though they see this as a big problem).Especially SE cannot afford any core player loss so this will continue.By the fourth expansion trust me we will be hearing A LOT.
My body is Ready!Cheers!
lol are you for real
My point was more that one shouldn't call him a liar on something he didn't lie about. IMO I don't agree with the OP either and feel they are trying to come off too aggressive on purpose but it still makes others look bad when they accuse him of lieing when he isn't (atleast on that case. Can't say one way or another on the kefka part. Also that they couldn't even bother to spell Exdeath right.)
Well all i can tell you is that he's a really low dps paladin main, saw him in Seiryu, if he bought/got carried by others in Kefka/Exdeath, his stuff. But the whole "I'm better than you" part he pulled off, triggers me when I saw him and he's far from even average.
Yes new people can struggle finding a group and clearing things, but they're also trying to find a group at one of the worst times in a patch cycle. The reason people are calling him out is because he said he cleared this or that when they were the current tier and then adds on the I'm better then you part. Course even if he didn't there would still people who'd look up his info to see if he really has a point or not. Coil and Alexander both had trash before their bosses except for a few and even in normal Alex people got tired of doing the trash.
So much over generalising here. Lovely.
I like it. No need to waste any time on trash mobs or running long distances to get to a boss room, especially if you're wiping a lot.
Someone doesn't like responsibility or challenge.
Such wonderful constructive criticism!
Oh boy another wannabe raider surprised that we don't pick just anybody for groups. I personally never had any issues making/joining existing groups but that might be because I actually am proven and not just some rando off the OF trash talking about fights I have no experience in.
TBH I wouldn't want to join a practice group set up by OP. He sounds like the kind of dude who'd demand "1 mistake = kick" and then himself be the one who constantly wipes the party.
As someone that only started when Stormblood was nearing it's end. This is not "the true viewpoint of beginners" in the slightest. It is the view point of a child and nothing more. I've absolutely loved everything about the raids and I know that will continue. I've even just about got my own static together for the EX/Savage fights.
Even if we're talking about beginners, which OP is clearly trying to make out that he's not, they would still notice the different PFs up and how each vary with description from fresh practice, know up to X, know all mechs etc. The only case a beginner would have that problem is when they join after the raid tier is over and no parties up except farm or some clears. But they get known for not knowing the mechs and get asked why they joined and told what to do 90% of the times. And now it's a lot more easier to figure out the flow of progging for savage works compared to 2.x eras.
As for OP, this isn't the first time he's posted stuff where he completely exaggerates what happens and blow things out of proportions. And the reason people are digging out his logs and achievements is because he was bragging about killing Kefka when it was released, which is an impossibility if you haven't gone through all the steps we talked about for progging. And it turned out he killed Neo Exdeath when Sigmascape was out by a long time. So it's another case of him exaggerating.
It was the same for EU (was on there from joining the game in ARR to the server split) you are meant to join practice parties for roughly where you are in the fight and then clear parties once at enrage then farm parties after. Obviously there are outliers to this who join the wrong type of group hoping not to be noticed. I pugged the entirety of 03s in a week and got to grand cross omega before finding my current static, then we had hlr drama for o8s and i was backup hlr so until we found a replacement i had healed more of God Kefka than i had used nin so i'd asked raid group if could pug to learn nin stuff for it and ultimately joined a training grp for 2nd forsaken and got kill in that grp.
Why did i tell that story because i really want to highlight to the OP the only one who is really hampering your experience to do raids is yourself and this is true anywhere.
I am having a really tough time taking this thread seriously.
The title suggests that there's something wrong with the raids themselves, but the OP seems upset he hasn't cleared them? I admit I haven't peeked my head outside of Eureka for quite some time so I have no idea what is going on with the raids, but surely they are still exciting battles, no? Alexander was some of the most enjoyable content I've ever played and I suspect Omega was designed with the same level of attention and care.
Of all the things to be upset over, the boss battles really shouldn't be one of them.
I smell self-entitlement thick in the air. -sneezes-
Raids are completely optional though, it is your fault for not making effort to find a group, or create your own in pf and such.
Those that want to raid badly find a way to get into groups..
Tbh there's almost no point giving you advice because you don't even want to listen to anyone and instantly deny any point made wrong or not all i can say is if you leave the game i hope you have better luck with your next endeavor
