I wouldn't mind the PvP route either. As much as I'm not a fan of it, the roulette is quite easy to do daily. Just cross your fingers that you have someone leading the group and follow along .

All seems to point to Pyros drop. I understand that Pyros needs some interesting drops toi encourage people to do it, but... this has been making me very sad in the heart (T__T)
Pagos emote is super expensive, this hairstyle will only be worse.

Knowing our luck, it will be in Pyros and come from a once a day spawn that has a 2% drop rate for just one person and its untradeable.

PVP would be a lot more tolerable than having to do eureka.

This is just a joke, but I'm already mad because it sounds real.

It'd be nice if it ended up in Gold Saucer instead. It kind of bumps me out how we've basically have had no new games to play in there or even proper updates to old ones besides Triple Tirad. I wish Square Enix would take the time to put some effort in it and adding more new things like hairstyles would be a nice incentive to go back in there. ^^

It's a shame that we have to think about where a hairstyle might end up as a reward from. When in the past we just got to enjoy getting them straight from the aesthetician or buying them for like 10 gil or a few thousand MGP.

We've gotten to the point where now emotes, glamours and hairstyles are put in as rewards for content and in turn we never get any new glamours, emotes, or hairstyles upon patch download OR proper rewards for content..

I don't care about the hair <.<. I went to Eureka, spent 10min getting level 2 or 3 and never went back. Hairstyle will go the same way as /Shiver. 50M on the market board. And the worst part about it? I'm expecting at least 2 more Eurekas before 5.0...

Also I'd like to think we need to provide a hairstyle blueprint to ensure we actually get what we want rather than leaving him to get "creative"...

I really want this hair. Not excited it’s going to be a grindfest when we used to just get them at the aesthetician though...

Hopefully by 5.0 we get multiple patch additions every few months like we used to. Wasn't the whole reason why we were given less things this expansion because of Eureka'a massive "development" costs?

although it will probably be Pyros. I am hoping it will be added to the Fashion Report Boutique. It would be the perfect place for a cute style like that.

People already hate Diad-...Eureka as it is. Locking the hairstyle behind as well? I can just imagine the added outrage.

Then please be ready to have a RNG hell drop for the next great masculine hairstyle. :P Because instead of at least getting hair without any RNG no matter which gender we all really love to have it behind RNG on top of RNG that has hidden RNG behind it. Exactly my point! Would you trust him to not get "inspired" if you don't show him a picture of exactly what you want?

I think you mean main stat materia 5. =)

Also the current Shiver or Tremble emote is less than a 1% drop chance from I've seen. Someone kept track of opening like 1800 boxes and only for 4 emotes if I recall.

0.2% to be precise.

It's funny, but the dev team doesn't seem to comprehend when you make incentives that RNG dependent, they lose their incentive. Much like Feast exclusive mounts, once people perceive they have virtually no reasonable chance of obtaining something, they stop caring about it. The hairstyle will be much the same if it has a similar drop rate, especially since we know it'll find its way into the next reskinned PotD.

How fun would it be if the first haircut you make him do when you use his service was actualy totaly random even in the coloring. And if we just don't like it we could choose by ourself in the character menu.

I can totaly imagine myself in a FFXIV were we just have all the haircut available just "Hey I'll change my hair, roll the dice and go with whatever I get" and just be happy with it for the day. It cost almost nothing anyway...

Plus, just the scenery of me looking at Jandelaine like "WTF dude are you drunk ?" when we refuse the first haircut would be quite fun the first time and then I'll pass it like everyone but... Its fun or I'm the only one who love to be mean to NPC ?

There certainly needs to be a randomised option there! Would absolutely fit with his character - especially the few times he's in a story as an actual character and not just a game function. He doesn't seem all that concerned about checking his vict-- er, customers are actually okay with whatever he's planning. (Although they seem to always be pleased with it.)

Maybe it's free but you're not allowed to change it for a week. Certainly for at least a day.

Here is the problem I have with HAIR... when new styles are added, they are just randomly thrown in with the existing hair styles- so it's hard to track down exactly which one is new. I bought a couple of costumes off the Mog Station that came with a hair style, but going in and finding one of the new ones was difficult because it was just thrown in. I think new styles should be added at the bottom, not just thrown in the middle of existing styles (or at least give the styles NAMES). Then again I have a big problem with this game in their lack of alphabetical sorting and lack of feature to be able to sort alphabetically... if there is an option, I don't know of one.

Styles that are actually new-to-the-game new go to the bottom of the list, but I think they go in a fixed order depending on when they were originally released, rather than the order you acquired them.

This would be my guess. All styles have a set slot and styles you haven’t unlocked are simply hidden. If they had visible numbers you’d see the occasional skip to show where you were missing something.

I would honestly prefer it if all hairstyles were fully visible as they were added so you could preview them first and you’d simply be unlocking the ability to use them. Or at least let you do a preview via their book like how you do with equipment. You know, so I can more accurately decide if it’s something I want to spend time unlocking for my race and gender instead of walking up hill through the snow both ways to obtain it and then realizing it doesn’t look good on me after the fact.

I will be rather upset if it is within Pyros. Seeing how the rates for decent stuff like the emote is super low and seeing how the population in Eureka decreases with each tier, the hair will be very expensive.

I'm inclined to agree, but if they make it from Eureka it'd be nice if it were from the regular lockboxes from fates and whatnot (over a low drop rate special one).

This, so much. I slogged through PVP for a week and a half to get that hairstyle for one of my characters. I'm terrible at it, I don't enjoy it, and at the end... it didn't look that nice and I haven't touched it since.

You simply can't try on these hairstyles that are expensive in either gil or - more importantly - your time.

It's certainly killed my enthusiasm rather than encouraged it.

You know, I wonder how the people who win these feel when they are put into content that nobody wants to do.
