No one but OP and the other 7 players from that party knows what happened. But it must've been something to warrant that witty response after just one wipe. As one doesn't just kick for the lulz and pray a tank is queuing in prog for Alphascape 3.
But yea, no role actions? Why?
Also no Total Eclipse and Holy Spirit
I've been very fortunate but I can't remember the last time I've come across a player like this. Everyone seems to be exceptionally nice to me in game.
It seems people are more stressed with these Alphascapes since you have to pay attention to stuff more and they’re not so simple to get through like the sigmascapes were.
I also wanna mention the fact i'm not a "noob" I wanna mention the fact that i did a run prior to this and we got close to beating v3.0 before we all died and voted to abandon,
The casual content is not hard enough to need this kind of mindset, and it's also there for people to experiment and try/get refreshed on jobs they don't use often. This isn't ex or savage stuff where you need to even worry about carries; to do so is really a clueless elitist mindset. I mean wtf you do when you decide you are bored with scholar and want to do expert as bard a bit, go run dummies for hours till you master it because otherwise its a carry?
This is silly. I don't start with alphascape if I'm learning an alt, because I'd be dead weight.
If I'm so far ruined by mindless potd grinding Idon't know my rotation, yes, I beat on a dummy until I earn the right to show my face in public.
After that, I might consider an expert dungeon, such as the Burn.
Only when I can pull my own weight at the expert tier, not to mention show myself as a teammate worth taking, do I show up at raid tier, normal or not.
This is why I'm so condescending to people that show up expecting the other 7 people to do everything for them when resources exist to help them help their team, but out of sheer laziness refuse to.
It is *detestable* so many expect to go into content and 123 to victory without consideration to the other 7 humans there.
I don't know if the op did this or not, but I'll happily support a kick of anyone that is as lazy as you describe in content, even if it's considered "casual." Even if I don't support insulting them.
I went into my settings and couldn't find this option to uncheckmark, please advise everyone because I could really use the help!!!
(But for real, sorry about the bad experience, OP)
Ya I would also report this!
There is no need for this in this game. If you don't like someone play style Leave and move on.
The likelyhood of ever randomly getting them again is super rare outside of PoTD zones... lol
Lmfao! I'm sorry that is hilarious! How do you not find that funny?
10/10 stealing.
If they've been farming it all week...wouldn't they be using the PF? Don't use the DF if you don't want to help/"carry" people who have never done the content. But of course don't go into content expecting to be carried. Do your best to learn.
"If you don't want to watch a guide, clear it in the first wave." What?
Also, sadly, it doesn't take much at all to set someone off.
I ran Alphascape 4 for the first time the other day (about 2 days after it was released). I, and a few others, said it was our first run, and a SAM (I forgot their name or I'd totally give them a shout out for being so amazing) began explaining some things to watch out for, what the markers were for, etc. While I'm reading/they're typing, someone else ran in and started the fight without warning. So I stopped reading and started fighting. We ended up wiping. But for some reason, the person who started the fight targeted me, deciding that I was a moron for not knowing which of the 4 markers to put the stack on.
I asked for clarification on some things, but he had already started the next round without letting anyone answer. We wiped again, and the same person goes off on how stupid I am for not remembering whatever "simple mechanic" he never let me read in the first place. He then leaves the party after some colorful language, and takes the two tanks with him. We got replacements, took a moment to communicate, and guess what? We won! Not right away, since the replacements were first timers as well, but. If the guy was so against anyone new, why on earth was he using the DF? Besides, the content was only 2 days old.
I've watched videos beforehand in the past, but to be honest I can catch on pretty quick even if I go in blindly. Granted it might take me a round or 2, but I find it more fun to NOT know every little thing to expect, and have some surprises along the way, because I know others around me are new as well, so we've got nothing to lose. It's a bit sad that a lot of players expect everyone who joins their party to have already had the exciting new content shown to them before ever trying it themselves. Are only the people who show up day 1 allowed the luxury of actually being surprised by the content and actually getting to learn it?
Also, watching a video isn't a 100% safeguard from rude players. Halicarnassus Savage. I watched a video and learned that fight like the back of my hand with practice, but one party I had decided to switch up the markers and fight strategy from literally EVERY SINGLE other party I'd had. Yeah, I died several times. What did they do? Raged at how stupid I was for not understanding they're randomly different approach to the fight.
Sorry for the rant, I just really wanted to share and I don't comment a lot, lol.
I'd really like to see a member of the party post some logs of what actually went down. Based on the last time you posted something like this, you left a lot of details out in your OP.
Since you were kicked by a majority of the group, you definitely were doing something you shouldn't have.
I stand by my original point before you blacklisted me in game. I will GLADLY teach you how to be a good PLD if you're interested. You just have to ask.

I don't think it's an abuse of vote kick at all. It seems of the 7 others, they agreed that the group was better off. Speaking personally, I wouldn't report someone if they said this to me. It's actually kinda funny, and HARDLY something worth getting upset/hurt about TBH.
See above.
I don't have to provide anything else other than i posted, i was kicked 1 Run of it 1 wipe, also wanna mention i was doing everything right, now that i think about it probably was a group of trolls, also i was upset because they sent that message as soon as they kicked me before i could say anything back, Another example of abuse of the kick system. also i don't need any teaching, I Have over 250 comms.
There's not much the main tank or ot does in that fight though. Main tank rotates cooldowns, and mostly tries not to get hit by the fists. OT can grab the tether, but to be honest its just as easy if not, as long as the player who has it runs away from the group. In that fight if you wipe, its often more the healers getting nailed than anything; tanks and dps are only vital at the add phase, and theres little damage then.
Its hard to see how one wipe would get a response unless OP was over voking the tank, getting dead a ridiculous amount, etc.
Kicking/Abandon Votes in group casual content is always laughable. Welcome to entitlement 4.0
Considering this looks to be the same PLD who did nothing but Shield Lob spam as Kaldea's posts indicate, they very easily could have done something similar. Or kept dragging Omega all over the place. That will make dodging Larboard/Starboard far more difficult. It's very unlikely seven people agreed to kick him after a single wipe despite him being perfectly innocent. Do you know how frequently Vote Abandons are rejected in 24 mans if they're put up after a wipe or two? I'm just not buying it.
Idk. I know on that fight, people will get very testy because of wipes, period. A lot of people try to farm it for the specific drops, when they raised the difficulty a lot, and 3 wipe abandons in it can be pretty common. But usually its the healers that mess it up, because all the responsibility is on them to stay up due to incoming damage. If he's troll playing he deserves to get kicked, but that fight I can see people kicking just out of frustration.
Well, to be blunt did you mess up the fight bad enough to be kicked? Did you keep the tether in the group, get nailed by every attack, etc? If you know you are doing ok, if they do that just ignore the people, they are tools. Even if you make a wiping mistake, it happens, if its bad or they hassle, apologize. But own up a bit if it was your fault, even if they were jerks in how they kicked you. If it was unwarranted, you don't need to make a post about it; people are idiots. If it is a little, they are still rude, but work on what got people killed by practicing.
I just don't automatically assume everyone deserves a kick and a rude response.
