What makes me happy is when people empathize with one another and don't have an attitude. Even in Eureka that has proven to be rather difficult to find x3 but I shall do what makes me happy indeed. Cheers

I think they should nerf the exp/rewards low-level people get from the higher level fates, as well nerf the exp/rewards high-level people get from low-level fates. There's a reason you don't see level 10 people doing level 60 fates or level 60 people in syncing down and doing low-level fates in the starter areas. It's not worth it. Hopefully this would cause players to create multiple groups of different levels instead of just one big group. Plus it would save the low level fates for the people who actually need them. There's no way someone exping on the beach is going to make it to Cactar or the Sea Bishop NM before they're killed, and those low level people are the ones that need it the most.
The problem here, is that in the Eureka instance I was in, no one was spawning any FATEs except for the high level ones surrounded by mobs magnitudes more powerful then me. Half the instance seemed solely focused on spawning Pazuzu as well. I was getting hardly any EXP since no one would invite me to a party to share credit with a lowly level 3 and my level was so much lower than the FATE. It simply wasn't worth it to stay and die repeatedly and hope someone would rez me so I didn't have to run all the way back and likely die again.
It wasn't until my party was formed and we spent hours doing what the higher level players couldn't be bothered doing that the level 1-5 FATEs even started showing up. And even then the train came by once the low level FATE spawned and it was dead shortly after. The only reason my party I formed got gold on them is because we didn't have to run across the zone as we were already there to start attacking as soon as a few more people appeared. My whole party managed to get to level 5/6 before some of us had to leave.
But this situation is going to continue to be a problem for low level players in Eureka and it will only get worse as the content ages and more instances become "Focus on Pazuzu spawn", which is why I'd really like to see an optional party level sync in there. We can do it in every other instanced duty in the game and it could be done in XI from what I understand, why not here?
I hear you Sey about dragging lowers to Paz. I had ppl try that with me several times but as long as there were a couple of us left at the train, I stayed with it. I too had to avoid the dangers of high level mobs when lower and I stayed huddled with my group in mid-train to escape getting tagged and I did switch instances seeking out better parties for me sometimes. Was not fun but I now have relic weapons and gear on my bard and Smn. Hopefully they make changes that satisfy all players. The PF for Paz alone is a good idea. I only go in there now for xtra Paz feathers and tomes. I use my Smn only so I can hang back and pick up any dead stragglers that healers don't.
Some changes are on the way. Wait and see but at least they do listen to all the fuss :D

They may hear all the fuss, but their fixes are almost always what you could call band-aid fixes. These solutions are often times nothing more than the bare minimum they can do, and while indeed they are valuable to the quality of life we experience in gameplay they don't often address any major issues (ie the NM Train ruining just about everything, afkers being total leeches, lowbies being neglected, the Magia Board being a non-choice, the list goes on).
Right now until they boost reward and exp from normal mobs the only way to lvl is NM. There really is no choice granted i lvl to four earlier grinding mobs but the exp was crap compared to nm and there is very little for low lvl nms. They probably should have a faster re spawn time than the higher lvl ones. Grouping in Eureka needs to be easier not a total social blackout with the outside world it currently is. Sadly the relic weapon and armor are inferior to the tomestone and that loses some of the meaning in doing it. Yes it might be faster than creation grinding but only because for w/e reason you haven't lowered the costs of the gear when creation is basically useless so hurry up and nerf the costs plz and thank you.
Granted i can see why you made it 355 weapon however that's just a better reason to do 5.0 relics outside of exploratory mission. Obviously you didn't learn from diadem only made eureka more accessible. The magia board didn't need to be added and frankly i like being done with lvling at 70 not doing nm trains just to lvl The next time you say 5.0 exploratory mission is not diadem or now eureka you better mean it.
So, I’d like to post an update to my feedback. My original post was the 2nd post in this thread.
I am happy to say that I’m now enjoying Eureka, however it’s because I’m level 20 and can ride my mounts and use the aetheryte crystals. I still believe the main problems are awful for levels 1-3. Levels 4-6 are slightly better and once you get to 10, it starts to get enjoyable from there. Once I hit 17, I was having fun and enjoying each trip into Eureka.
My wife, however did not like Eureka at all when we first tried it, and she didn’t want to go back in after getting to only lvl 2. I kept on and reached 20. So I convinced her to give it a go again since I could give her a ride, and I could protect and raise her when things got rough. That solved a lot of her problems and she’s been joining me every time I go now and is about to hit lvl 10. I’ve taken her to high level fates and she’s killed Pazuzu 3 times and received great exp killing him.
I’ve completed relic weapons for my main, PLD, and then RDM, DRK, SMN, DRG, SAM, and WHM. I can easily get 1 weapon done per day with 1 prepped for feathers. I have also upgraded several pieces of armor, which has been fantastic for my fresh 70 classes and it has solved my glamour problem for several classes that shared gear. So while I had my doubts at first, this has turned out to be great.
I still think not having a level sync of some kind for parties is a major problem. A party finder specific to Eureka, would be helpful as well. Opening lock boxes is another problem. I have 2k boxes to open and don’t really want to sit and push X in till my thumb falls off. And my biggest fear is that this content runs the risk of dying like the diadem if they don’t address these issues and integrate future updates in a way that breathless life back intro this first step of the content.
In conclusion I’m glad to say that eventually Eueka becomes a lot more fun, and that if a low level player has a high level buddy that can give them a ride, it’s not so bad. Yes there are still issues and plenty of room for improvement, but I think it can be done. Try to group with at least 1 person you know and just stick it out doing NM trains until you get leveled up. Help others when you can, and having a friendly attitude will go along way to increasing your enjoyment, regardless of level.
I respectfully disagree with this in one way. Yes, the experience improves dramatically once you hit lvl 17 and can finally start running most places without instantly dying, but the godawful slog to get there really wears you out. I'm currently about 3 or 4 high lvl NM away from lvl 20, and just finally completed my SAM relic weapon and armor with my ninja gear all up to +1, and I'm honestly exhausted. The process took me about 3 weeks total since I don't have a lot of time to play continually, and the idea of going back kind of fills me with dread. Maybe a week or two off will help.
I also don't think the place is in quite as much danger of dying out as it first appears. I still see a good mix of all levels, and a fairly high number of high levels. So it may start to dwindle when the next patch comes with new content, but it's probably fairly solid until then.
Personally I'm not liking where Eureka is going. When it first dropped I thought cool, reminds for FFXI and FFXIV 1.0Hmm but now come to find out that the only way to get xp is to join NM trains and just leech...
*Level Sync is need along with an ability to show everyone in Eureka that you are LFG for either XP or NM/FATE.
*Perhaps a resting bonus or items to increase xp yield is needed. It would be cool if players had a campsite item they could use that would increase the xp earned by the party to help with leveling. I just don't think "New Eureka players" should be leveling off "Euraka End Game Content."
*Use old FFXIV 1.0 maps as a template when you had random villages, cave dungeons, etc... for people who want to explore. Don't be afraid to have flying and swimming added to fulfill these goals.
