4.25 Patch Notes are Up

So, if Eureka is taking queues from FFXI, does that mean we'll be sitting at the zone entrance pulling single crabs or bats to kill and praying someone doesn't drop a mob train on us (or worse, a goblin)? :P

Personally, if they're taking some inspiration from FFXI, I'd prefer to see skillchains come back. Hell, I'd be all for them completely overhauling the LB system to make that happen.

I mean, T-Rexes are supposedly ancestors of the chicken, so... I dunno what to tell you. Maybe the T-Rex mount might pull a pair of ginormous chocobo feathers out of thin air, becase game logic, and flap them like comically oversized wings. That's what I'd do, at least, for reasoning behind the dinosaurs' flight.

Idk, theres some subtle stuff in there. Like we need protean crystals to upgrade gear, but it also says we need specific items which they don't name. I hope to god these aren't the same as past relic steps, bought w tomes.

also they said you need to complete a quest to be allowed to use mounts, which implies there's questing to be done inside

Eh, woulda liked to have seen examples of Eureka gear (if they don't exist somewhere already).

But, it's all content I won't get to access until it's long obsolete.

I do wonder if eventually they'll tweak it so Eureka does grant normal exp, perhaps similar to PotD. Always nice to have alternatives to level alt jobs.

- Making airship parts by baking them in a frying pan

PvP - relocating potencies of bursts (mnk) to make it less bursty, pld damage burst outright nerfed, tp cost to set up drg burst upped, onslaught gets baby buff and upheaval is nowhere to be seen, nin baby "buff" for hiding, mch outright nerfed (my condolences to lace at this point) on wildfire and we still wait for more actions to be put on the board, more depth to the additional actions have yet to be seen but WHM just got outright buffed. Can we stop catering to healers? It is getting ridiculous at this point, do you mean to make bursting healers or through heals the pvp equivalent of savage? It is bad enough I make savage raiding a chore? I wanted to actually chill a bit in pvp and consider doing feast, but not like this.

PvE _ WAR crit equilibrium buff was a BUG and phantom train savage cheese remains doable despite their efforts initially to prevent that. Smh.

But hey DINOSAUR MOUNT.

I checked the topic to see info on Eureka while at work, but found out dinosaur diagrams instead. Not disappointed. :D
