Hey, thanks for suggesting that female characters get another unique glamour while males get what would undoubtedly be a recycle of the werewolf set, that's real generous of you. :rolleyes:

Like, ok, that's you. Good for you! But if they were going to reuse assets from HW (I remind everyone that the Marid's are from Diadem and are nothing new either.) Why are we not getting more.

The mendors are also just reskins, and it is a nice touch, something that I hope they add to all the old beast tribes too, but it doesn't take much to take a model they already had, and paste it over the code for the menders and vendors we already had for housing.

We got no furnishings and for an outfit we got nails, which I love, but the nails are also just the claws of the cat. >>;

I've wanted the white griffin as a mount since 3.0, S rank Senmurv, but I already have the griffin from the CE, if they're going to only reuse assets, they need to give us more stuff all around.

The crafted gear (ilv350) this patch is just reused assets, the mounts, the dungeon gear.

At least give us a little more if they're not gonna give us fresh stuff.

The OP asked for opinions and I've been stating mine. I see nothing wrong with the rewards given from the Ananta. I can find fault in the story of the quests, but nothing about the rewards has disappointed me.

You quoted me though, that is why I'm replying to you, I never said you couldn't have your opinion, I'm just pushing that while it's enough for you, but explaining why it feels lazy to me, whom enjoys the stuff, but I still think it's lazy and lacking.

I already replied to this in the other post but I'll say it again.

None of the stuff is new really, it's all reused assets.

Also, it's not a bash as much as, I think for the amount of content they've been cutting, they could have given us more.

It is possible to love the game, and still point out the faults, I think lying and just accepting less when I know they can do better isn't productive.

Im disappointed. The nails are fun but a full outfit they are not. The griffin is cool but we could have gotten that from msq. I would have rather had their clothes :c

Isn't the Bloodhempen body piece (for healers and casters) kinda similar to what Ananta wear?

Not too far off. Especially if the belt-feathers weren't a part of the top and were actually a part of the pants.

I was surprised that we would get a Beast Tribe that offered two mounts instead of the normal one from the others, not sure if it's a good thing or whether glamour was better option but one thing is for sure, this is one of the only way for certain players to unlock a Griffin mount without having to buy the HW collector's edition. So for players that don't have that seems fair, but whether it should of been part of some other quest and not the Ananta well who knows.

Well, I -guess- if we're looking at it from the front, top most shape only. Feels like a real stretch to me though.

The Bloodhempen set, is a tribe outfit for the Au Ra tribe, the Dotharl, I can see that it that's a lot of inspiration from Mongolian tribal outfits. The gold coin-like embellishments, the way the middle panel of the top cuts out.

The ananta outfits seem to focus more on bead work (Which makes sense for them as a tribe) It looks very much Hindi inspired, which is of course what the tribe takes inspiration from.

No where near as pretty as the real thing, but I can see that they took from different cultures with them.

Both mounts are great, and I do think that it's possible that they'll add some Ananta themed glamour at some point to the vendor there. Think they did the same with the HW tribes, but I could be wrong. Weren't available at first, but they made them so later.

considering they release full item lists on patch day, really shouldn't have surprised anyone that white gryphon was in and ananta gear was not.

They did add ananta house keepers, just trying different things out as rewards.
Those resistance fighter uniforms would make pretty cool glamour too with the jacket tied around the waist

The resistance gear is dungeon gear from Baelsar's Wall, if you're looking for that for glams!

The Vanu for sure was added later, don't remember about the vath though

TBH, I'm hoping we get more recolors of existing mounts.

I'd like a glowing flame/thunder drake particularly.

I quite like that we ended up getting two mounts from the Ananta. Then again, I collect them...

Only Vanu and Vath gave them so late. Kojin was 5, and Moogle and now Ananta didn't do it at all.

Actually, ya. This isn't the first tribe so I'm a tad surprised you didn't see it coming. They already got something unique with the Permit, and their armor given was 1 slot like moogles. And you had to do a questline before getting access like moogles, which was optional and a lot skipped over...

how do you get to rank 8 already? i've been doing ananta quests every day since 4.2 launched and I still need 1 more day to reach rank 8.

You must have missed a day, as of yesterday I had enough rep to need less then 3 quests for it. Will have it at rank 8 myself. You may have also forgotten to do three of your extra quests from a rank up day.

There's a difference between "We have an outfit already" and "We have something that looks like it already." I'm one of the people who wanted glamour, btw, and I certainly don't/didn't think they'll just shove a snake tail on us, so stow that strawman.

if you picked up the quests when servers launched it was before the reset, so you could do those and then three more after reset.

Of the tribes that give a set, they all are human like in shape. Four limbs and a straight upwards body, or at least straight enough that it's not janky.

Ananta however have a snake tail instead of legs. The armor is meant to have the look a little like the beastmen. Kinda hard to do that when you have legs instead of a tail.

Fair enough. Of the ananta glamour though, I hoped for their dress and wrappings, not necessarily their tail, although pants that cover your legs in ananta-like scales could have been done.

This doesn't seem to be the case, since they were perfectly fine dropping WHM AF2, and AST AF2/AF3 on males.

Tbh let's be realistic, they should've given some jewelry glamour since they hammered on us the fact that anantas are great metalsmith, probably not as flashy but would've been a choice

you would have have to done the quests from when the patch came up but before the 1st actual daily reset. I got my griffin mount yesterday too.

I'd love an Ananta glamour but they are too different in terms of skeletons and animations. They could've made a set that had the same flavor, and I'd still love to see that to be honest, but I don't figure they'd add it later, so I'm just gonna have to deal with that. But they did give 2 mounts, which is more than any other beast tribe, so there's that. I don't care that one is a recolor, really, the main version was a special limited thing that people have had a couple years to enjoy, myself included. So I'm not mad. Besides, I don't exactly run around in turtle shells and owlbear heads as it is. The Ananta stuff would have to be really good to compete with a lot of whats in game already. Maybe they just didn't want to release a substandard idea and couldn't iron it out in time. We may never know.

I got two mounts and an emote. I'm satisfied.

I'm disappointed that Gales and the M'zhet didn't realise their undying love for each other.

The Bloodhempen set gives me more of a feel of a Mesoamerican outfit but a I agree the Ananta is very much an Indian influence.

That rebuild is being handled through a different side quest. If you haven't done it yet, do the single side quest in the enclave.

I did, I believe they are connected.

Edit: Mostly because so far the quest was just bringing the revenant's toll doman to the enclave so not much work was done

It's possible, though if that was the case I don't see why would they give it its own category, I'd assume they meant to add more quests to that category, and beast tribes have their own category.

I was disappointed as well, I was really look forward to an Ananta glam but we did get two mounts (even if one was just recycled). I'm still holding out for a later addition of an Ananta glam perhaps in another patch.
