Pretty much every sane person labeled the b**ch in the red dress as a monk. It was my first real disappointment in the community when that debate kept goin on and on and on when there was really no reason it should have.

Yes, because twelve forbid anyone ever speculate about anything ever! Specially in the forums, whom in their right mind would ever dare?
I have to vote Dancer.
Role wise...
Well, since there's already several DPS classes I like it being dps would be somewhat disappointing, too many choices!
Out of the healers...
I like AST, but the others not so much, would make 2 choices...
Tanks...
Not really that fond of the current tank aesthetics...
A Tank Dancer could be interesting, I'd probably actually learn to tank then. XD
Geomancer tank with a hammer, thank you!
Necromance, morpher and puppetmaster!
There was nothing to speculate over. She was obviously using MNK/PUG skills and abilities. She was preforming a Kata or routine, anyone with even passing knowledge of martial arts knows practitioners must drill these exercise near daily. Their fluidity can seem like a dance but the fact she used skills already in game was a dead give away to her identity.
That being said i do hope that Dancer is eventually released. I truly wish it had been in Stormblood, as of now Ala Mhigo has since the full reveal of the teaser trailer, has felt like nothing more than an after thought when compared to the far east. A job celebrating more aspects of Gyr Abanina would have been very welcome. I have yet to fully level Monk to 70, but i have a feeling even with the allusions made by the RDM storyline will leave me feeling unstated due to my favored content being so gladly pushed aside for the more popular far Eastern theme.
The hope now is that Dancer and Blue Mage both find some connection to Thavniar, to help flesh out more lore and history from the area. Mind you i do actually enjoy many aspects of Asian culture and it is one of the reasons i was unpleasantly surprised that Samurai, a class historically known for honor and courage, would not be a Tank. There by ensuring no Asian themed jobs would ever be in the defensive/ Leadership role of a group. ( i did love the question asked of Yoshi P himself, "So does that mean that the reason Doma and Ala Mhigo fell was because they never had any Tanks around?" YP: "yes, please help")
All in all i would want to see a Ala Mhigan Pikemen/ Templar with a spear and tower shield, Blue Mage with paired Swords, Dancer with a whip or chakrams , Judge or something with a hammer (not a viking or berserker, we already have Warrior for that. No need to steal their them and animations.) and possibly another physical ranged using twin pistols, boomerangs, or crossbows for Ranger.
Gunblade times 1 million, thanks.
Dancer sounds wonderful.
Mystic knight and chemist as tank and healer respectively have my vote
Dancer at the very least. Though I'd also like to see Chemist, Beast Master, and Necromancer.
Beast master and Chemist are the ones I want the most, though I'm leery of the former given the shoddy pet AI we already have.
Dancer.
The game needs a Dex based to share gear with Ninja.
Next would have been Beastmaster or Chemist.
My vote was for Viking in hopes it will come with a big ass hammer or mace. Unfortunately, it will most likely be a tank and I gave up tanking a while ago.
My 2nd and 3rd option would've been Mystic Knight and Beast Master. Blue Mage would be cool, but Yoshi keeps shooting it down, so it most likely never happen.
Chocobo Knight!
It makes little sense and would be SUPER interesting in how they would get it to work. It'd also stand out when playing it, I think it would really change the dynamic of the party when used.
PUPPETMASTER.
PLZ GOD.
Chemist: It would be nice if it had a steampunk type theme to it~ Something with shooting potion filled syringes and ailment healing gas bombs.
Sage: Make it into a tank caster class and watch how any people folk to it! Something like FF6 Kefka combined with FF5 Exdeath...
Jugglar: I need a silly job class that really gets on my enemies nerves when I debuff them/buff allies. >XD
Dancer: Healer over time with timed continuous effects that utilize big heal bursts with specific combos combined with it.
If I follow your statement, then dual swords would never happened because we have already multiple jobs (especially Samurai) with one sword.
Rifle and pistol are two kinds of fire weapons.
When you watch at FF Type-0, you have two character, King with two pistols and Cater with one pistol.
Their gameplay are really differents despite they have guns both.
If have to compare, I would say King has a gameplay near from the Machinist (Heavensward), when Cater has a gameplay very dynamic with some kind of traps too, if I remember well (one of my favorite gameplay from FF Type-0).
The jobs I would like to see are :
- Fireworks job !!!!
- Dancer
- Time Mage (the funny things is to see people [the same again] convinced AST is Time Mage, when the two jobs are showed in game as two differents entities)
- Gunner
- Chocobo Knight
- Geomancer
I want beastmaster and psychic
That's how I feel, they could easily differentiate AST and Time Mage with Time Mages focusing more on Time magic and leaving Space Magic to AST and giving them different playstyles and roles.
I feel the same about the larger firearms and gadgets MCH use versus the smaller pistols like Merlwyb and other NPCs use.
I had thought about a Doman Fireworks job like Pyrotechnician or something but how would you differentiate it from BRD and MCH?
Not to spoil it, however if anyone here has done the Warriors of Darkness should know about the ***Spoiler alert*** Alternate worlds were same classes different jobs. Example Warrior = Viking BLM = Magus, BRD = Ranger PLD = Knight MCH = Gunner, ect So would need to be a bit more creative. With the exception of DNC and BLU I would love to see a semi Soldier class.

Gambler? Throwing cards as weapons, dice roll skills, slot machines, skills that vary in effect and potency based on randomized factors.
Idk I'd find it insanely fun... >.>
Not to burst your bubble IF you did put attention to the dialog when they explained the multiple worlds they did mention in lore. Over all Viking would fall under either as type of PLD or War considering what role it had in previous FF series... Don't need an exact amount of words stating the obvious , based on FF roles in the past. Viking with hand axe and shield or a large two handed Axe. Would just depend on what world. Does not take much to connect those together if you have followed FF series in the past. Unless your new of course.
I went with Puppetmaster. I actually want a pet job where the focus is on the pet, and there's absolutely no open world content that could ever make Beastmaster interesting like it was in XI.
Not new by a long shot. However i do admit to possibly being mistaken. I was under the impression you were advocating a Viking Job and referencing the Warriors of Darkness as having a Viking among them. I do know the Viking and Warrior have been interchangeable in the FF series, that is the main reason i dislike the proposal of Viking/ Berserker as i feel it would only take from what the theme of Warrior in FFXIV.
Having been in this game since 1.0 i did look forward to the datamined jobs found in client then.
I want a two handed hammer/mace class please!!! My favorite weapon

I would love to see an dancer, because having an melee healer is very interesting to me and would make it unique compared to the other healers. Wether the developers can make it work or not is another matter, but ever since i saw the artworks/concepts of the class in the older FF MMO, i wanted an dancer as the next healing class. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/D...al_Fantasy_XI) :o .I can imagine the next expansion will have Ala Mhigo as the next big city and thats what the 4.X series lead us towards to. If that speculation on my part is correct, then the next expansion would be imo the best moment to introduce dancer alongside blue mage.
It'd have to be 'artificial' luck in a way, otherwise it'd be a balancing and gameplay nightmare. Some runs you'd parse way, way, way higher, others you'd play better but perform less, that's unfun.
WoW ostensibly added this, by giving Outlaw rogues a buff literally tied to roll dice, it's sorta liked/sorta hated, and very much random.
Oh no! You forgot to add Gunblade class!
My love and hope goes out to Dancer, I too want a REAL support job despite the trinity
(Which by the way since everyone is a DPS class now and tanks dont even bother with tank stance in savage raids and the healers are expected to DPS hard, does the trinity still exist other then by force?)
Chemist. Our campaign slogan can be "Let's mix things up!"
I would prefer a handgun, but chemist with any ranged weapon would be great.
Why not have a physical healer? Like with machinist, you can tie aether into it.

Every single melee dps job we have, with the exception of ninja, are known for facing enemies head on. Monks? Traditionally duel one on one and are honorable. Dragoons use spears, which are just as much a defensive as an offensive tool.Quote:

We already have three slashing tanks and of them two use swords. At some point dps needed to get a sword, and in lieu of dps getting DRK we got SAM.
My memory can be fussy but it seems to me Ala Mhingo had the blade dancer before the occupation right?
