Tomestones cap needs to be raised a month before next patch

I don’t feel the cap matters much for me as I would probably jus get bored doing dungeons over and over and over just to get tombstones and wouldn’t feel like I was progressing much. For me I felt like the cap encouraged me to do something else which is when I started looking at os1 and os2 and ended up getting new stuff and started enjoying stuff again :)

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, didn't read all 5 pages, but...

When 4.2 comes out you will have:

Normal raid with 350 gear (1/week)
Crafted with 350 gear (unlim)
Tomestone with 360 gear (1 every week/other week)
Raid with 370 gear (1 every week / 4 weeks depending on luck/pages)

So what exactly will alts wear since everything but crafted is limited, and from what I've seen the majority don't use crafted? i340 gear.

That's why they don't raise the cap, the previously capped tomestone gear will serve as the main way to spend that now uncapped tomestone, it serves as an extra carrot when your weeklies are capped and you still want to gear alts. Come 4.2 and those who don't wish to buy crafted gear will be spending creation on alts and will keep rabanastre queue active running it several times for upgrade coins.

I assume they lifted raids early because they realized people don't really farm old raids for gear the way they farm old tomestones for gear.

If we are talking about a hypothetical bored person who doesn't gather, craft, PvP, hunt, level alts or farm ponies/birds at the moment, then there isn't much else for that person to do than end game PvE. It absolutely makes sense to suggest to try savage, and for the reward systems in place to encourage trying savage. O1S and O2S don't require a static so learning those is something everyone can do. If the hypothetical person is not great at their job, then learning their rotation is something to do as well.

From personal experience, the eased difficulty of savage and carrots on a stick work. It was the same for me as Thoosa described, except I also tried extreme trials for the first time and enjoyed them.

With all the items i included its 1 run of Palace/ Dungeon per level to 30 and maybe 1.5 runs per level to 50. Then 2 runs per level to 60. The challenge is 60-70. Thats where queue times matter the most so its where it would be advantageous to be a tank or healer if youre solo queueing. I no -lifed an alts warrior from 1 -70 and helped a few people from my FC for their stormblood leveling along the way. So I had semi optimal conditions on top of being able to control pull sizes. It took me around 18 -19 hours.

My methods only include what I have available to me. I dont have the friendship circlet so I didn't include it.

Keeping cap at 450 or removing it won't keep more subscribed. A lot ones once they finish they main story they unsubscribed till next part of story comes out. I play daily and don't give care about if I'm capped on Tomestones. I don't see point at all having a cap.

Removing cap doesn't mean gear is no longer bought with tomestones.

On the contrary, having the cap doubled or even removed would only lead me to stop playing earlier in a patch cycle such as the one we are in.

Wouldn’t mind a price reduction on some of the items. Never expect that to happen, though.

They need to? No. It'd be nice if they raised the cap when they unlock savage? Yes.

need more side things to do, waiting for relics because its actually worth doing, all i do now is just log in and level things. Also leveling to 70 in a day is possible (certain ways) i have a friend with the road to 60 buff still and that gives double the exp, plus rest bonus, exp earrings, exp headpiece, and exp ring, and food that's basically a broken exp train and will get someone to 70 in a day if they actually grind (yes grind) and level.
