Was more of a joke then anything, but thanks for doing the math on it. I'm not good with complex number problems like this, so I can't say if it was done right or not, sorry. ^^;

On the flip side, while RNG can kick one in the dirt some times (I really did fail 3 times in a row with a 96% chance once), it can also give out big time as well. I've HQ'ed items with a 1% chance a number of times while bulk crafting, and once won a primal mount with a 56 roll cause the 5 others that rolled all rolled lower then me. RNG giveth, and RNG taketh, I guess. XD

My unwritten rule:

Disregard all unwritten rules, do the thing, clear the thing doing the best you can and grofit. I mean, profit.

I find some unwritten rules to be in bad taste. Like many tanks have a rule 'You pull, you tank', and let the other player die. How is being a diva tank any better than what that player did? I just Provoke and move on because I'm supposed to defend them, that's my role.

"Don't piss off your healer!"

It is a very similar concept to not pissing off your waitress since they literally are going to serve you what you're about to put inside your body. With healers, any given one can be on the edge, and well, they'll easily let you eat dirt if they choose. I'm not saying you have to kiss the ground they walk on, but it is generally a good idea to not be a dick.

"Don't take your tank for granted!"

Tank harassment is a real thing, and I'm not having it whether I'm running healer or tank. I will initiate a vote dismiss, or threaten to leave if it happens, and the group can wait for another healer or tank to come by.

"Thou will queue ONLY when adequately prepared!"

Gear up to date and repaired. Food gtg. Confidence... somewhat built up. Just be ready to go. Please!

If you're not having fun, finish up your duty and log out. Play something else for a while. Time is precious.

Eat some hotdogs.

What's the meaning of "o/" ? I only recently saw it used in chat. I'm not into 4chan or reddit and clearly missed this new slang.

"o/" looks like a person waving. It's just another form of greeting and/or cheering.

On the other hand some like me view what you do as being an enabler to continued bad habits which I will not do IRL and as such will not do in game either. But to each their own.

I'm with you on that one.
They're doing their job, so I'd do mine. As I mentioned earlier, this is especially true for things like monks and blms and drgs where you have a timer ticking down before you do less damage, less of your job. I'm all the more grateful for people who want to keep those up.

It gets rather annoying if, say, the healer requests slow pulls because they are not comfortable with dealing with pulling more than 1 mob just yet (let's say these are HW pre-Vault dungeons) and the tank obliges them and this agreement was said in party chat at the start of the dungeon, and some DPS decide that's not good enough and they start pulling for the tank. That is incredibly annoying, especially in situations where the healer simply hasn't gotten comfortable enough to heal like that.

I have some unwritten rules:

1. Always say hello or hi when I first zone in. Courtesy makes for pleasant runs. :)
2. The tank gets heals first, me next, then damage dealers. Standard triage stuff.
3. Always cast Repose on multi-mob pulls if the tank doesn't pick up the healer or ranged damage dealer mobs. I catch flack for this sometimes but I rather spend a few moments cleaning up the cced afterwards than allow casters and healers to get off their spells willy-nilly. I'm an old-school WoW player. I have crowd control spells for a reason.
4. Always say goodbye.

Greet people mining in the same spot that I am.

No matter what role you queued as, you are dps.

Show some manners. Greet your party when entering a duty.

If you dont greet your party members when entering a duty, im going to assume youre a bot. And will disregard any of your wishes and complaints.
