With what I wrote about WoW, both servers should remain. What was the point of selling the previous server? Does FFXIV not make enough money from the NA residents?(I think not)

I don't know how you managed to surmise anything else from what I wrote. Of course I was saying, BOTH should be active servers.

I would be happier knowing the money we are giving to Square Enix, supporting FFXIV was going to FFXIV :(. I had 3 retainers back in ARR(now I can't verify the cost of them), but I really wanted to support this game. It is a bit insulting that the money we give to this game does not all go to this game :(.

So SE should just open up a new Datacenter, with many empty servers, while the other 2 datacenters still had some empty servers?

I'm not going to say that ping is the reason NA didn't beat this fight yet. I think we had at least 2 NA teams that had a good shot at world 1st, but one of them had to reduce their playtime after they originally planned to beat it in 1 week, the other disbanded for reasons that are unknown to me.

However, ping DOES make a huge difference, and everyone who tries to min/max and had ping issues before knows exactly what I'm talking about. You will constantly clip when using potions or not clicking your ogcds right after using a gcd. This results in losing gcd's overall, it can also potentially get you killed when playing a tank due to your tank cd's not going off right away.

It's one of the reasons I made an alt for raiding on the EU datacenter, cause my NA ping jumped from 90ish to 200+ since the servermove, which makes min/maxing impossible.

I dont even know how ppl on the east coast play. I struggle with doubleweaves, holmgangs, etc... that can require literally split second button pushes with a 120 ping and I'm in mideast of USA. The video of the drk being saved by a rescue is insane. In my position I'd probably have to press rescue before the DRK even started being knocked back. Ah well, it is what it is.

True facts.I hope SE will give a better budget for 14 so they can change NA server to rightful spot for everyone on NA.Because right now i feel like they bought the cheapest server of NTT Communications.I hope they fix next year or 2 years until then they wont move ill be VERY vocal about it.

Yeah, When I use Rescues, I pretty much have to see who does and does not attempt to dodge attacks.
After their 1st failure, THEN I can attempt a rescue.
Ill hit rescue before the cast bar even shows up, and its pretty 50-50 if they make it in time.

In Rabantastre im easily able to get to the safe spot for confusion, and ill rescue someone to me, but nothing happens, then a second or 2 later, i see the animation go off, then them slowly dragging themselves to me, then being on top of me 3 seconds later, then the attack goes off, and still hits them in the safe spot.
thats with an average of 90 ping, highs of 110

idk how thats even possible

I live an hour from the datacenter and I can safely say I love my 30 ping and random, rampant 90k disconnects
