Gold Chocobo Feathers

I saved mine too...no one said, just buy whatever you can with them..they take up one slot...

I still have two slots left for RAF, but I'm on board with this either way. I think it would be fair if they just sent out the fixed amount each time they released a new mount for those that HAVE in fact reached the limit.

I did just want to post the pics of Managarm up here for those who might be upset they can't grab him.
Maybe his size will help lessen the sting. I nabbed him yesterday and the scaling is kind of ridiculous. Happened across someone on Fenrir and took a comparison shot...

It's almost like you didn't bother actually paying attention to the thread. This was mentioned, but requires one to have someone on their friends list or FC listing that has been unsubbed for at least 90 days. Not a solution.

Nope, once at least one of the recruited meets the 90, 150, 210, and 270 marks you get no more from these milestones and there are none after. After that the only way to get feathers is from the callback campaign which requires you to know someone who hasn't been subbed for at least 90 days or to get the initial 5 from each person you recruit (up to 5 maximum)

Yeah, I used my extra feathers on dye because what else was I going to spend them on? The recruit a friend rewards were Twintania and Amber Draught chocobo with zero indication they'd be adding to the Recruit a Friend rewards.

It's nice that there's people with zero inventory issues able to store feathers indefinitely just in case, but not everyone is in that position.

I think the new mount looks ridiculous, to be honest, but the fact my main is forever locked out from getting one is pretty unfair.

I just wish that SE would have told us that more might be coming later. Just a note that this might not have been the end..but saying nothing like that and just putting another mount behind this after all that time is just bad. How long should we keep all those items in fear of them increasing such campaigns again?

After seeing the videos of the mount showing its size (and no special music) I'd be annoyed if I managed to get a few more feathers, bought it, then they add something better later on again -_- hope they can find a way to keep giving feathers to people who capped or have friends that are still subbed.

I actually checked on a couple of alt characters, both of whom had purchased a Twintania key and an amber draught chocobo. They were still short of getting a managarm horn by 1 feather.

Why not add a set number of Gold Feathers that you can purchase with Achievement points?

Wish they increased the cap not just adding new rewards/ways to get feathers. I'm currently sitting on 7 feathers and can't get more. My alt has like 25 (thanks to moving to prefered server) but what the use when i can't trade them.

right now, if you have exhausted the 5 friend refer limit and the max sub time limit on one of those characters the only way to get more feathers is to callback a friend that hasn't played in 90 days and get them to purchase game time again during a callback campaign period.

Make the Achievements Points useful at last. Until now they were completely useless. This will give players a motive to unlock more achievements.

i'd be all for making gold feathers buyable through achievement currency, there's nothing i can currently get through it, and none of my friends are even remotely into mmo's/have the time to play them.

As said previously, add some with Achievement Points, or as a continuous Veteran reward (like 1 feather for each 90-180 days of subscription).

I can't get anymore gold chocobo feathers since I already invited 5 friends. Maybe raise the limit to 10 friends since there are new items to buy. As for new ways to get them maybe a veteran reward. Or purchase 6 months of sub time during a time period and get 15 feathers.

SE strategy:
- Start a recruit incentive program with gold feathers, etc.
- Blocks highly populated servers from bringing in friends that might be a bigger chunk than what the lower populated servers could bring in.
- Create a cap on the number of possible recruits so players are unable to get every gold feather reward.

Yeah, great system. They should ditch it, and convert it all in-game via achievement points or whatever. Anything would be better than this garbage.

Recruit-A-Friend (Savage)

I think that letting people use some of their achievement tokens to buy feathers is a good one.

Everyone should get gold feathers by taking part in subscription campaigns such as the Falcon campaign.

Yeah, my achievement points are useless. If I could convert them into gold feathers, then they'd actually have some value.

I got an idea add Gold Feathers to achievement certificates. Because those of us who been playing FFXIV since the start already have everything from the veterans rewards.

The callback campaign ended January 4th. I checked every day for my fc and kept sending invites to them and only one used it, but I didnt get the feathers for them resubbing because they resubbed after January 4th. They got the free 7 days for being called back, but I didn't get the reward for being the one to invite them back. :mad:

Man, that's weak. I used all of my feathers to buy the Chocobos and Twintania, which left me with only two that I spent seeing as there was nothing else I wanted. I've since tried to recruit more people, but none have even gotten to 150 days, and I haven't seen any Gold Feathers since last year. I guess I'm never going to wind up getting this Managarm since my ability to rests solely in other people registering to the game for almost half a year.

you can only get the callback campaign feathers once. there'll be another callback campaign at some point so just have to wait for one.

Sadly callback campaign is just not an option for myself and many, many others. It requires you to have someone on your friends list who has been inactive for 90 days or more. That's simply not possible for me since I have very few friends and they're all very active.
