There were no dead servers on the EU datacenter before 4.0. That is why only EU got 2 new servers.
People play this game for very different reasons. If they suddenly would limit raids to only a certain amount of people and players would rage about this, would they still be called babies? Maybe those that unsub already have others reasons next to housing that put them on the breaking point? Also SE losing money by having people unsub is probably the thing that will hurt them the most.
And who knows how many other players that are not writing in the forums (maybe even Japanese players) will unsub thanks to that.
For most its probably not only the housing that will make them leave but the icing on the cake. Also a lot of posters already wrote constructive criticism in other threads about this issue for years. SE never cared so maybe they think that they only care about a loss of money so writing that people will unsub might make them change their mind.
Calling others babies and stuff like that is also not a good form of posting and also not very constructive.
Perhaps you are missing an important point.
You should give advices about things you are competent.
We are customers, and we have "a problem".
-Explain the problem
-Explain why this is a problem
-Give a realistic level of relevance (does it matter?)
It's the company who decides how to act.
I can say "add more wards!" "change everything" "change nothing!" "1 plot for account and release the others!" etcetc.
but this is ME, and I don't have specifics of their database schema, how much funds they can use or others important details.
You can think that to give a solution is really smart and proactive, but in the end it's the database admin, the bookkeeper and other to decide IF/WHEN/HOW.
On the other hand I'm giving a precise level of relevance "this feature is SO important that I prefer to close the contract".
This happens often: if you buy an item and this item doesn't satisfy you, you give it back, correct?
I'd feel a lot better if they'd actually address the issue...knowing this is FOREVER or at the very least that this isn't being even looked at is miserable.
Hello Dear FFXIV Team,
Firstly, bravo for the great work for this patch 4.1 and also for past 4 years. I felt excited with this patch earlier but still, i believe there is still got a room for improvement as I believe Japan is great on providing good services which will satisfy every customer with pleasure. I believe a great smile from a customer is also a happiness for acknowledging their hard work.
But well, feedback won’t hurt, right? As to further improve and to maintain sustainable business for the future. Well, i make it short, we are not satisfied with the way of the Shirogane’s Housing rolling out and it has really become “War” between players which we think is a huge negative impact on this community.
We don’t like the plan which the plot is so limited thus we got no choice to choose the plot we want and also to grab anything that not yet purchased from people who got more choice when they can login faster. While the race to login is real, a friend in my FC not familiar with the new purchase/relocation function, accidentally purchased and relocated a plot which is not desirable for us compared to the old plot!. At that moment, we want to change the FC House to the plot we want but all the 720 plots have gone in less than 3 minutes after server up!! What left us in us is a disappointment, frustrated, fed up and as well as depression, some more we also lost our Old Housing Plot in less than 5 minutes (which we wanted to purchase again for our 3 years memories).
After a half year of planning strategy for my FC, all mess up with this “War”.
Honestly, everything is messed up now!. I still can't accept this.
Can’t your team give us a good solution for near future? We have paid monthly subscription to FFXIV, and it should satisfy everyone with at least one large, medium and small house. If FFXIV got 664,640 total active players, then make it 664,640x large, 664,640x medium and 664,640x small. If it is too much for server space‘s budget, then reduce it to 34% of the total amount which is 225,978x large,225,978x medium and 225,978x small. Another 66%(445,309x large, 445,309x medium and 445,309x small) or else, make it a pledge to pay’s plan to get a plot for players who wanted to get more than one housing or for players who failed to get from that 34%.
If your team got a better idea or plan already, please do.
Honestly, as an FC leader for 4 years and counting, I really wish every member in my FC can get a house as rewards or something from my FC and also in the same ward as the FC, so they have a home in FFXIV World for them to back. Please Believe the virtual reality that your team has created and be bold to make a decision, as FFXIV World have held dear memories to the peoples who stay there for long but as well as fail to satisfy all players will be a lost for your company.
Regards
I'd feel better if they'd even be willing to discuss the issue. Yet they don't. They ignore it and continue doing the same thing over and over.
To be completely fair here, there are a lot of childish complaints around here. Most of the complaints I have read since the servers opened yesterday were along the lines of "Housing sucks! DIDNT GET MUH HOUSE! FIIIIIIIIX IIIIIIIIT!" rather than a level headed complaint that suggested the person could put together sentences and not just yelling to be the loudest.
Most of the complaints are in their housing sub forum. There’s a ton of complaints there lol
Why, exactly, are people "babies" for choosing to voice their disappointment with their money? Complaints on a forum only go so far, and we're now approaching four years without any worthwhile changing to an utterly failed system. People are simply fed up, especially those who play this game for its more casual aspects. If housing played into their enjoyment. They have no reason to keep playing without one.
For reference sake, would you call these same people babies if Ivalice released where only the first 15% of players were allowed to participate? That's the equivalent to housing right now. The overwhelming majority have nothing but glorified FC rooms.
Well yes there was (and still is) lots of rage because people probably are just growing tired of always seeing their dreams crushed by getting no house. Some of the posters even said that they tried to get them for years. There are a lot of those pure rage post but there are also quite a lot of good threads with understandable anger and good criticism on top of that, so its not like its just a pool of hate and rage but those still get hurtful comments from some posters. Yet even if it was only full rage, isnt it just as childish to react the same way by calling people babies? IMO the mature way would be to either ignore pure rage threads or try to give constructive criticism of the thread itself without having to throw insults.
