theres nothing in o1 that can instant kill you o.O you can stand on the boss just like in 01s and the backwind or whatever it's called just knocks you backwards

hell im pretty sure even clamp can be face tanked in 01 normal xD

No, Downburst can and will one shot you if you stand inside the aoe of it. It's a little difficult to actually gauge how close too close to it is, but I've found it's easily avoided by making sure you're at the edge of the boss hitbox and not inside of it. If you get hit by the tornado portion of Downburst it's like 80k damage or something similarly rediculous.

As for clamp, on normal it just does moderate damage instead of punting you. So yeah you can face tank it if you're lazy.

I believe every normal mode is made using extreme/savage mode and simplyfying mechanics or removing them alongside reducing damages. This is mostly why Sephirot normal had a useless phase with green/orange aoe in normal while the stacks doesn't exist there. Savage exdeath OS if you don't move for Blizzard III, so I believe it may be a bug coming from that fact.
