I've been thinking that they should change Gauss Barrel to be exactly this. Leave the heat gauge up permanently so we don't have to reapply it, and make it so Gauss Barrel is a temporary buff that instantly causes a MCH to overheat.
Easier : Make reactivation gauss barrel, overcharging it and overheating, instead of de-ataching it.
There is not gameplay point to just drop the gauss barrel right now, it doesn't add anything except roleplay purpose (that I respect, as one of them. But that won"t make machinist great again).
Also, please make the gauss barrel hot red when overheating and not some kind of infrared rays emanating from me.
1) changed to 255, thought I updated that.
2) it's possible with rapidfire to fit in 6 theoretically, and can sometimes be pulled off, but assuming no, that's what the bottom one was for.
3) thanks for the typo fix
4) I swore I updated that... mistook GB as GR at the time. I'll update that.
5) That was just the default, and I figured it wouldn't affect readability, but you made a good point so that's been changed.
6)I swore I updated that too... Oh just noticed nothing was updated cause google drive was being stupid and made my changes a different file! thanks for making me notice!
7) I meant for gauss barrel to be right before that, cause otherwise it wouldn't match the timers, though that was how I had it initially. You're right, I forgot to update it :P
So most of your changes were already made, it sadly just didn't update, so thanks for letting me know so I can actually update it instead of saying I made the change, but it didn't go through XD
Oh I didn't even notice that difficulty cause that's just how much I don't overheat anymore XD
Also, I said I made your changes, but Fannah just mentioned some more changes and noticed it never updated. I swear I wasn't ignoring your replies or lying saying I updated it but didn't, google drive was just being stupid lol.
Running parses on a bunch of varying rotations from ones that use overheat to ones that don't even optimize for cd323cd on wildfires I have found a dps variance of like 100-150 dps at most. The class is just a mess right now with almost no skill ceiling to it. You can almost do whatever you want and have pretty close dps to someone who is doing a much more methodical rotation. The rotations using overheat in practice have also not ended up being the better ones. Maybe I'm wrong and there is some super secret high skill ceiling rotation that I haven't found but so far these are my personal findings.
Leti Cro : D-8 still at 355 ;) haha
Edit : You should set your Gauss Round closer to the end of the Wildfire state, so your next Gauss Round will get the bonus from Gauss Barrel :) (In short, you should put your Gauss Round in B-11 and change the next Gauss Rounds according to it so you will never lose potency by using Gauss Round in the phase without Gauss Barrel bonus).
Something weird with the 6GCD it's that it needs like a lot of Skill Speed for a low GCD (maybe 2.4s), so you can't say you did 6GCD while still basing your GCD at 2.5s.
Which will provide you another hit in the 60 sec before the next Wildfire, so more Heat generation, making you overheating more easily which will maybe delay your use of Wildfire to keep attacking as you will have to Cooldown, ending to change the rythm of your rotation.
So the easier is to remove your 6th GCD, or will have to add a new GCD skill in your rotation (or you write that you do nothing for a GCD time on purpose^^") (and changing that 355 potency in D-8 :p )
In one minute, you will do a total of 25 GCD skill because of the 3 with 1.5sec from Rapid Fire instead of 24.
Which means you will have only 22 GCD affected by your skill speed.
If you get 2.4sec GCD --> 2.4*22 = 52.8sec If you add 4.5sec for the 3 hits with Rapid fire --> 57.3sec total and not 60sec. So you will have one more GCD of 2.4sec in it --> 57.3+2.4 = 59.7sec (same for 2.41s GCD, you will reach 59.93sec the same way). And it's even more important if you put longer than 60sec between 2 overheat/wildfire combo. That's kinda why I believe it's just easier to stick to a low Skill Speed to get only 5 skills in it.
Thanks, google drive like saved a file per change so I've completely lost track of all the changes so I'm sure things were missed XD
and being able to fit the extra skill in a 10 sec window with the buffs, is significantly different than out of the 10 sec window which is why I had that for that window, it comes down landing the skill at 9.5s or 10s when it ends, which is why I just split the rotation into 2 for comparison. I used 2.5 ss so it would reduce the importance of ss in the rotation (since it's the smallest stat weight so it shouldn't be too high anyway).
I still disagree, but that bit of detail is way too distracting when comparing rotations, and I find myself fitting in that move less than half the time anyway so I'll do your recommendations XP. Also noticed that wildfire would have blown up at .5 seconds earlier so multipliers were wrong anyway haha. I'll make these changes as long as google drive doesn't mess with me again lol
