[Suggestion] Instead of Hildibrand, I want sidequests about Azim Steppe. 4.0 Spoilers

They see no gender when it comes to souls. There is no such thing as a "man" or "woman" soul to them. Since their numbers are dwindling I suspect they push relationships that lead to offspring though.

Hildibrand would actually fit rather well in Kugane, but he'd need a Zenigata Heiji analogue as a foil character.

The Steppe stuff is of a very different tone than what Hildi is normally involved with, especially seeing how the auri tribes deal with their problems and the type of things they encounter on a daily basis.

If faced with a choice between the two, I'd say the SB side quests should be Steppe, and wait until the next expansion to bring Hildy. That should give enough time to the writers to come up with something good while giving his character a break.

As a side note, the reason some go for the Magnai x Sadu ship is because it's a little too common to see characters that seemingly hate each other form a relationship (that we have bickering couples like Bulma x Vegeta, not to mention the granddaddy of them all, Tendo Akane x Saotome Ranma, doesn't help). Specially when you take anime into account.

I'm more a Cirina x Magnai fan, simply because there would be delicious irony in an overbearing guy like Magnai being kept in check by a seemingly quiet and meek girl like Cirina. Like, he'd think she's easy to boss around, then it turns out that she has him by the balls and he can do nothing about it.

There's also the guys that are speculating Yugiri will be shipped with Magnai.

I've noticed during my quick work break, that some of the whiny babies complaining about wanting no more Hildebrand, didn't play 1.0 where he originated. Nobody touches Hildebrand. He's a staple of the game, and good humor.
I agree the HW story wasn't as good as 1.0's or ARR's but he stays! If you don't like that, don't do his quests, oh and the proposed side quest idea sucks. It sounds boring and pc.

I don't particularly care for a Magnai/Sadu relationship quest, but I wouldn't be against more story quests in the Steppe or in any of the Othardian areas.

I support this so much. Hildibrand was great in Eorzea but if I had to choose I would like to see more of the Xaela lore than Hildibrand. Maybe we can have both? Hildy in Gyr Abania?

Can I have both Hildi and more Azim Steppe stuff?

Seriously, we had hildibrand and the scholasticate quests in HW, why not the hildibrand and the azim step for 4.0?

Have Hildy visit the Azim Steppe

Azim Steppe was easily the best part of Stormblood, lore-wise. Not that I'm an authority on lore, but as someone who rarely cares at all about side quests and discovering the backstory of an area, I can say that I really hope that they expand on the Azim Steppe. It was such a great area that just left me wanting to learn more about all of the clans. The Ruby Sea had its moments too though. And graphically, The Lochs take 1st place, followed by Azim Steppe and The Peaks in the shame corner (so... ugly...).

The side quest areas in Ruby Sea, Yanxia, and Steppe all have a very special place in my heart. I 100%'d all of those zones and was left still wanting more. I would absolutely love to have more quests in those areas, either Post Moogle type quests, Hildibrand, or seperate side quests, more main quest, I don't care I just want more! They introduced so many fantastic characters that I am now invested in. It would be an absolute shame if they were to not take advantage of this and expand on them further.

Just for that I call for double the Hildi content and to make him defacto leader of the tribes of the Azim Steppes with the mandate to make all tribal disputes be handled by a Manderville dance-off, that includes the Naadam.

The Steppes will come back into relevance. After all, Alexander the Creator was designed and dreamt up by a Xaela of the Dotharl-murdered Hotgo tribe. I don't think SE will forget such a link between Stormblood and the premier raid of Heavensward.
