Yeah they took away the DoTs, and the AoEs... so BANE was nerfed into the ground too... and no more Bliz 2.
They pretty much nerfed the entire job into the ground, and I'm still not sure why.
AoE wise now the SMN on top of the Bane (nerfed)... only has 2 Painflares for 200 potency each... and a Deathflare for 440 potency. (Bahamut's Ahk Morn is hidden behind 3 minutes worth of CDs so not a factor).

Well having gotten into HW areas now I agree that something is wrong with Titan and using Physic to heal it. Basically, Physic heals for the amount it is getting hit so when your egi gets to low health, you are left spamming physic or just letting it die and be resummoned.
I can't believe this is intentional. Physic needs to be made stronger when applying to pets or sustain needs to come back.

Of all the changes to SMN, the removal of Sustain is the one I find has affected me most (caveat: I only quest/level as SMN, and do the occasional Duty when I party with a Healer-friend, so I'm not speaking from the perspective of someone who plays SMN a whole lot or in end game). Titan is way too squishy now and even pulling two or three mobs can be problematic. Forget about starting up a FATE boss on my own if there's no one around. I agree with the previous poster who said they'd give up Physick to get Sustain back.

Makes no sense at all to remove Sustain. Was a bad choice, needs replacement. Not that hard for them to understand surely. I mean its a pet class, improve its interaction with that mechanic if its going to remain. Don't diminish it and make an already boring experience worse.

If they have given us more ways to buff our pets then that useless cure skill might have been enough and it would give us more to do with our pet. But instead they just took it away without giving us something for that..but lets just keep that useless healing skill and that tri-bind..
