for the OP it is weird, you can't really ask for refunds from mog station, it says you cant.

Difference in play style is an incredibly broad term. It effectively does allow you to kick someone for just about anything. The only real limitation is GM's perception; if they perceive that you are abusing it rather than kicking for what they see as a difference in play style, then you can land yourself in hot water. However, if people just stay quiet and silently initiate the vote kick, avoiding entering the territory of harassment, it is rather unlikely for the person being kicked to have a case to build upon due to the broadness of the term play style. Yes, it is probably a bit silly how broad it is, but it is how it is.

1) when they made that option that didnt had "kick for playstyle difference" in mind and
2) they never put it there to not encourage "kicking for anything"

They've probably decided that its best to tolerate kicking for playstyle but didnt expected that to be an issue at first. I'm ok with that - I dont think we need a prominent option telling everyone "Oh, you can kick for playstyle-difference" so that people would use it (more frequently) over minor issues but I also think that it can be beneficial to everyone to remove someone from the party who wants to play differently and/or do not want to cooperate. Its better for the party and its better for the kicked person aswell - if it has become clear that the difference cant be resolved, whats the point in keeping those people together and possibly risk that they get to a point where a kick for harrassment is valid?

Sounds like they did you a favor. If they're handling dive bombs by scattering all over the arena then they don't have a single clue wtf they were doing in turn 5. Sadly they can't kick you for a different play style. But truthfully I wouldn't wanna stick around with a group not wanting to use the proper star at for said mechanic.

There is a fine difference of kicking someone not cooperating (like a healer refusing to heal) and just using that as an excuse to kick someone because they are not in the premade. Still that does not really answer the question, why are there options to select something to kick someone? They are not achieving anything.

While on this, does that mean kicking someone because they refuse to purposely fail the run valid? I had a run like that where this premade was just messing around and kept purposely failing thok, but the majoroty kept on wanting to fail it. So what happens when the majority are breaking this rule:

3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.

according to GM...when I got kicked a week ago..."player can choice who they want to play with" even when they kicked me from a DF party.

SE doesn't have to take the responsibility of other players actions. let along give you refund because you don't like the way you were treated on the server you decided to move to.

I'm curious, what data centre was you on before op?
