New Stormblood trailer (spoilers)

OHHHHH MY GHODDD NEW STORM BLOOD TRAILER?!?!?! I'm ON MY WORK COMPUTER RIGHT NOW BUT AS SOON AS THIS MEETING IS OVER IM HEADING OT THE BATHROOM FOR A "BATHROOM BREAK" !!!!

Awesome music theme and a very nice Stormblood trailer that makes me impatient to experience the new adventures. :cool:

OMG! I love the new theme song; Nobuo Uematsu never disappoint me :D
I was happy to see Oboro-sensei in the trailer meaning he'll be part of the MSQ!
Bring it on Stormblood! I'm soo ready to whoop some Garlean ass!! Time to retake Ala Mhigo and Doma!!!

Just wanted to put this here. Seems WAR will have about 55k hp by lvl 70, Also they made it so you can see what debuffs you can get rid of with esuna with the blue line above the debuff. You can also drag different parts of the menu onto your hotbar as well.

*looks at PS3* Poor machine... Holding us back

A WAR with 55k health isn't that huge a deal really. Certainly an increase but a lot less than it could be. Of course the character could just be wearing junk gear.

Thrancred was already since 1.0 a Gladiator, who say he is a bard (in poetry sense, not in class sense) to flirt with every women on sight.
I guess that the devs got the idea to change him into a Rogue after 2.0 already launched.

Its probably more accurate to call him an espionage expert rather than a rogue, though he learned knife fighting originally in Limsa. Its kind of the same as Yshtola and conjurer. Both have had advanced training.

I know PvP isn't strong on this side of the forums...but HEALERS with SWORDS and SHIELD....CROSS-class GLAMOURS....did someone SCREW up!!!! WWWWWWwwwww~~

An important thing would be knowing whether that's with or without Defiance active.

I'm hoping it's the former case, personally, because the stat scaling is already a little ridiculous even when comparing endgame ARR to endgame HW.

It's without defiance. In the screenshot you don't see the aura but later on you do but they hide the hp.

Alisaie as a RDM was the most exciting part for me!!!

Hydaelyn's Songs always provoke the feels.

Also, sweet, sweet vindication. I recall all too thoroughly the various discussions with a few players on the forums and off about how Alisae was obviously a Red Mage from the 3.4 Cut Scenes, and them calling me stupid for thinking it when her move-sets were closer to Gladiator and her sword was a recolored Gladiator's Sword.

If anything though, the fact Alisae is a Red Mage gives me some hope that Red Mage won't be going the same route as WHM/BLM lorewise, making it more accessible to the RP community. We know she's Sharlayan, not part of this secret group of Mhach/Amdapor survivors somewhere in Gyr Abania.

If Alisae is the rdm instructor, im skipping cutscenes. e.e

I doubt it. Where would we get our Soul of the Red Mage from? Pretty sure she doesn't have a pocket full of them. Or a spare.

They should have gotten someone else to sing the theme. I did not like Susan Calloway on this.

I'm actually hoping that we'll learn RDM along side with her, and some dialog may change if you completed binding coil before 3.4. Would make RDM my first DPS I level after WAR.

Hmmmm is Yotsuya stepping on Gosetsu? The character sure looks like a big man and the hair colour and style looks like that of Gosetsu.

Biggest takeaway from this trailer:

This game needs better Anti Aliasing badly.

Well looks like the story in 4.0 will be good.

She's most likely Doman. Her little bio released during the last Live Letter stated that she was had "committed numerous atrocities against her own people". She also doesn't have a third eye, but that's kind of obvious to see.

While not a pure-blooded Garlean, I would think that Yotsuyu is at least a Garlean citizen due to being a acting viceroy of Doma. Outside of 20 years(?) military service, one can become a Garlean citizen via extraordinary skill; she might have been the leader (alongside Genkai) that leaked information on the now failed Doman uprising. She gives off an air of head spymaster to me.

Look at that legion of Garleans with Gunblades trying to shoot down the Doma Forces.

her mistreatment of her own people is also born from deep hatred for what the old government did to her which we will learn in 4.0.

However, if I have to guess the old Othard Government murdered everyone she cared about.

In regards to Yotsuyu Ok first I'm going to step on her and make her lick my boot then I'm going to kill her and steal her clothing

I have to admit,

I like it, but it doesn't seem to have quite the coolness factor that Heavensward did. Its possible I might not identify with it as much this time around. I suspect that was because I was never much for the Ul'Dah area or storyline. I liked Gridania and Limsa better.

I admit after Ilberd's antics I seriously lost a lot of sympathy for Al Amigo.

Still it does look like a good story overall and probably some really cool large scale battles.

But we'll have to see.

Maybe the garleans taked her as a kid, raised her in the empire and send her back to rule in her land in the name of the garleans

Yes but she didn't use any skills that were later associated with RDM. In this trailer; however, she now uses that backflip+blade beam skill and she now holds her sword in a fencing stance, like RDM, as opposed to a PLD/GLD stance like in 3.4 (shown below)

This new stormblood trailer got me really excited for the main story we are getting in stormblood. It more then makes up for the lack of excitement for heavensward ending.

Maybe I just have to listen to it more but I don't like Revolutions as much as Answers or Dragonsong, I don't know what it is but it just hasn't won me over like they did, maybe it's too similar?

Either way I really like what was shown here, although to be quite honest I'm not really that hyped for this because I doubt it'll be able to top HW for me. I know it's unfair but HW just surpassed my expectations and went so above and beyond... plus I guess I just don't find the concept as good, a war between dragons and humans is just plain cooler than a war between humans and other humans and I feel like the stakes just aren't as high this time around.

Is our opening movie going to be the trailer we got a while ago with Samurais debut or will there be another movie that will go along with the music like the videos for Answers and Dragonsong did?
