New NM's!! Your ideas and thoughts on implementation of new NM's.

Name: Slystix Megapeepers (FFXI redux, as this is a naming scheme)
Family: Goblin
Pop Condition: Spawns by trading a Goblin Mask to the Ishgard Gate Guard.
Drops: Goblin Axe (Rank 29 Marauder), Goblin Blood (Alchemy of course), Goblin Mask
Importance: 1/3 NMs required to gain access to Ishgard.
Special Attacks: Bomb Toss, Crispy Candle (Conal Fire damage + Paralysis), Frypan (AoE Stun + Damage), Goblin Onrush*
Rank: 89-92
Magic Used: Protect II, Cure II, Shock Spikes

*Specific to this NM -- Much like Goblin Rush, deals knockback damage and grants haste.

3 more FNMs to even it out so each faction has 2 would be nice. I'm sitting on 1000 Horn and Hand faction credits since there's nothing worth doing with them.

Off topic but I use my H&H faction points for easy guild marks from the special faction leves. Since there's no fighting they make it easy to gain marks for an ability on a class you don't feel like ranking up ;)

Not sure if its been posted, but where the hell is that damn crazy ass looking Morbolo (or however it is pronounced) that we all saw in the beginning movie.... That is what I want to be fighting. As far as NMs go, they would be nice, but I would also like to see new mob families altogether.
Tonberries, more beastman, goblins(i know they're there, but theyre hidden in damn caves and never to be seen). I feel like there isn't enough mob family types. One thing I loved about ffxi was when I first would explore as a noob, and come into new zones and see Treants, and new tigers/leopards, and then poltergeist, manticores, dhamels, etc. You get my point, I feel as though there aren't enough mob families. I feel like the game is constructed of reskinned Dodos, mice, sheep, DOBLYNS, imps, elementals, wisps, ants, gnats..... Half of those mobs are freaking bugs.... Where are the beasts!!!!!!

Some kind of war machine from the "evil empire" that patrols a certain zone almost as though it was on sentry or scouting duty. Maybe put it in a wasteland between they zones of our territory and theirs. It could summon reenforcement during the fight and what not for extra difficulty and excitement.

You can find Morbols @ The Black Shroud (at least one of them, I haven't seen them crowding any zone as dodos or marmots do).

something where you can damage various parts of the monster to make it less dangerous as the fight goes on.

IE: cut tail off, no more tail swipes.

Maybe I've misunderstood you, but we already have that on almost every mob with the Incapacitation feature...

They need to bring back the hundreds of smaller NM's that can drop a combination of crafting mats/actual gear. They need to bring back NM's like leaping lizzy, Eastern shadow, VV, etc to give us shit to do when we don't want to grind. These small time waster NM's were very much enjoyable in FFXI and it should care over to this game as well.

Yes more NMs or make the current NMs drop mats that can be made into gear for a larger variety of classes.

As of now there isn't any reason for Conjurers, Thaumaturges, Archers, Pugilists to do roaming NMs.

As someone said ARC/PUG can benefit from the Tricorne, but mages get screwed by NM's.

not everyone has it. my ls had over 120 members before we decided to go to a smaller crew. of those 120 we had at least 60 with high mele classes. some just recently ranked up so we had just recently started farming for those members to get the skin, but lately that dumb thing has been stingy with drops. we probably need 3-4 more skins to make the hats with and our group will be good.

Some NMs should drop specific rare/ex dyes/paints.

That way, if you saw someone with red plate armor etc, they must have killed an NM fire dragon!! or whatever NM.

that would be a nice addition also. to me the dye should be the color of the n/m it dropped from imo though and most of those colors are already in use in some way or another.

Anyone remember the Cave of Giants or w/e it was called in FFI? Where every step you took was an encounter? Would be awesome to have an area cut off from the rest of the world where huge Giants roam. And at the very far reaches of the cave/area could have NM giants and wyvern/dragon pets ^^. Also someone mentioned mechanical NM's from the empire, and I couldn't help thinking of Warmech, Such a rare encounter and Exciting fight. ^^

NM Name: Gojira

Conditions: Shares spawn with all the raptors in Coerthas. When all the raptors are dead, this thing has a chance of spawning. It's a giant dinosaur :p

Possible drops: lots of thunder crystals and shards. Saurus Scale, to make make R50 Tyrant Armor pieces. or Giant Lizard Spine, to make an R50 Great Sword :3

No mentioning of the return of Bubbly Bernie?

I remember that. I would love to see things like Warmech. 1/64 chance for him to spawn!! Nuke!

XIV needs moar Wyrms/Wyverns/Dragons and those Drake things do not count, oversized salamander does not = a Dragon

Aside from Great Buffalo they are all reskins. Ureaus is just a normal Peiste... about the same size of Peiste's from leves. Goblin NM is a regular looking Goblin.. Dodore.. Elder.. all the same just slightly larger.

But be sure they have a lot planned for better NM's.. these are the jagged-ear-jacks of FFXIV.

Difficult HNMs that only spawn once a day （＝▽＝；） I love me some LS competition and super rare items~

I would love to have some NM that attacks the Ship or any other waterbased NM.

Elder has different horns than the normal mobs. Pay attention!

I would expect most NMs to be reskins.
