Because Lalafellin aren't children in this game. RP is very different legally from actually having the character visually & explicitly being a child.

Aww they look super adorable but I'm definitely more inclined for longer hair and body shape/build options. Like this wonderful example from sakamichan - just ignore the fact its a fox man. XD

When it comes to Lala's there is no difference. I believe someone; either in this thread or another, stated that their Lala was actually smaller than the child Lala. So there really isn't any discernable difference currently.

It is indeed, not a romance simulator. However our characters have been and will be depicted in acts not befitting underage persons, everything from drinking alcohol, to killing a god/king, and in fact staring in them down as they died in terror...

The implementation is simply a headache the dev team need not deal with, i only used secondlife as an example where far to quickly some persons can, will, and have made disgusting content using in game resources. As it is we cant stop them from making it now... However we need not help them either.

As teenagers they seem not quite different to the females.

I hate to use this as i cannot find the source and as such understand it's questionable legitimacy. However in a developer note, i did see that in reference to Lalafell, the dev team was able to justify their inclusion due to their proportions being not that of a humans, pre adolescent or otherwise. This being the case they are not subject to same standards or reviews when it comes to questionable conduct by the player base. Literally their abnormally large heads and disproportionate bodies constitutes them as not human and not subject to the same laws. This was in a discussion long ago asking for Padjal to be a playable race as early as 1.0.

Again, even though i have searched to the best of my ability, as of now i have no proof of my statement above save my own memory, i apologize as i understand credible proof would be more appreciated.

You missed the point entirely. Currently SE define all Adventurers as adults. There can therefore be no argument that the image on screen is that of a child as, I repeat, we have been told that it is an adult. It doesn't matter if Lalafellin children look like adults because the Adventurer's character is *not* a child.

If you want to pretend it us then you're borderline risky RP. However, if SE were to suddenly allow an explicit statement that the Adventurer was a child then any sexually motivated activities would be subject to very strict laws. The game would probably be closed down in several jurisdictions as a result if they didn't modify the age back.

I can assure you that wouldn't make any difference legally, in fact it'd probably make it worse. The argument you are discussing was more that "this race isn't human, fully grown they look like children to our eyes but aren't, they are adults". The Padjal are "human" so are clearly intended to be children.

Though yes, NPC kids for all races would be a decent addition to FFXIV's world. Weird how Limsa Lominsa is void of Roegadyn kids.

I was a male miqote once but was just too annoyed how dumb they looked in robes. They're shoulders are waaaay too bulky, its like watching optimus prime trying to cut a jig or something. It'd be nice if we had more of a choice on their build and I wouldn't have choose a fem miqote after the beta. Honestly don't see the problem with having such choices either. If I could I'd go for a slightly muscular fem miqote too, kinda like fem hyurs with their muscle tone choices.

I will agree with this. I do wish there was more of a presence of male Miqo'te in the quests and not just being limited to the Crystal Tower saga and the Heavensward Black Mage quests. Heck, it would have been nice to see Male Miqo'te in the cities of Eorzea or around any Aetheryte therein.

i can understand that it is done because of the Miqo'te canon in the Character Creation screen at the start of the game, but even then there are so many female Miqo'te NPCs and so few males. It is quite an obvious discrepancy.
