Boo it's NPC attire.
I will be honest and say that the Ys'htola's hair only looks good on Miqo'tes but the outfit damn... looks good on my Hyur
http://i.imgur.com/1AF5fOx.jpg
I'm already getting Y'shtola's outfit on at least one of my characters, but I'll say this: At least it's not all in one piece like Minfilia's outfit was (still annoyed about that and trying to find the logic with that decision. Nevermind not being dyable).
I totally agree... I'm so happy it's separates. I've not seen anyone in world yet with it on but i want to try it on to see which race I'd prefer to use it for. Shame you have to buy a separate one for each of your accounts. Not quite sure I understand why they're not account wide for that price.
People can keep saying the mogstore shouldn't exist but plently of people buy from it so why should they stop?.
For a moment there, I thought Ysaylle and Yugiri's hairstyle were also added to the shop. :(
Yet China dress is nowhere be seen ...
For the record in regards in the Mogstation/Cash shop in general: I have no issues with a Cash shop in general (Being a veteran DCUO player). It's paying for things that are (quite honestly) not worth the price is what annoys me (Minfilia's and Cid's outfits, I'm looking at you both).
To those who say that the latest outfits shouldn't be in the Mogstation, imo they should be there. SE is under no obligation to supply free glamour items; those are all optional. It's not like you have to get optional items to progress in the game. I repeat they are optional.
Furthermore, the past Rising events has never rewarded glamour outfits as rewards, we've only been rewarded the minions.
Saito is correct. The ban is also permanent. She has been sending in a new ticket every time SE Support replies to her old one, but she hasn't gotten anything other than the same robot response. She did try calling them too, I don't remember what they said off the top of my head, but it didn't get us anywhere.
She does still read the forums everyday, though. So she's still here, she just can't say anything herself. I do make most of my posts on her behalf, but I know it's not the same.
I would like that these itens were from the Rising event...
But I was willing to buy... if they were dyeable.
I dont get why non-dyeable stuff still exist.
Sorry to be the bearer of crap ass news but she's not coming back. You do not get perma ban on the stop, you get 1 or 2 chances. I got permanently banned after one strike,
my other friend two. So she must've upset someone before then got a perm. Nothing you can do. I looked for a way to appeal bans also
and it's a no can do. Plus, people or even one person can give a descriptive enough reason to report her and that'll be it.
It just makes no sense we can't contact mods or someone about this.
TLDR; Be careful...and I mean, be seriously careful what you say on here. Even sarcasm can get you ban they don't play.
Wow...they seriously did it -___-°
Like, I was fine with getting the old outfits since they were basically just normal gear anyway and the NPC got new ones anyway.
But now?
Do we have to shed EVERYTHING out for cash?
I want to play a game in which special NPCs are at least a BIT special and aren't surrounded by 200 players in the same f*cking garb
No, you don't have to shed everything out for cash because the items are OPTIONAL meaning it's your choice whether to have the item or not.
Going a bit off topic, since SE just released Thancred and Y'shtola's latest attire in the Mogstation, it makes me wonder on what's going to happen to the characters in the story..o3o
"The cash shop will never be a problem, they will always let people get the items at events and then they will put them at the cash shop for those who missed them" - White Knights, 2014.
This is really sad, and as this trend increases, we get close to abusive cash shops, because thats how the average gamer is today, SE runs a business and thats where the money is, the idiotic average gamer.
I hate that the hairstyles are gated behind the rest of the outfit. I couldn't care less about it.
Cash shop items being character bound rather than account wide is an absolute turn off.
Hey SE how about you put those Eastern Cherry Trees in the mog shop, or too afraid of upsetting the people selling them on the MB for 5-20 million gil (depending on your server)
Got the outfit for the hair, money well spent. 8)
Well when the cash shop was being first teased everyone said this would start happening and they were slapped down and told it would only be for things missed or otherwise attainable in game.
We now pay a sub and are expected to pay extra for stuff they could just as easily stick in the game.
It still isn't. This is cosplay glamour, not new designs. When people have said what you've quoted, they mean the latter.
Nonetheless, would you call someone who, say, goes out partying and blows $100 one weekend an idiot? Why? Because they choose to freely spend their money on what they deem enjoyable? You may dislike something, but that doesn't inherently make it idiotic to partake in.
We pay a sub for substantial content updates every three mounts, which include glamour, gear, dungeons, raids, mounts and all that is associated with them. Were this a F2P/B2P, we wouldn't see any glamour whatsoever that wasn't cash shop exclusive and actual content updates would slow significantly. Compare the amount of genuine content updates seen in Black Desert or Blade & Soul to FFXIV; nevermind the enormous grinds both games implore on their playerbases to make the cash shop enticing. BDO is particularly bad because if you want any chance of competing in endgame PvP, you will need to either pay for their sub model or dedicate half your life to monotonous grinding just to keep pace.
I don't mind paying for something I like if it is up to me. They are optional items so to each his/her own choice.
I would however like to see the option to have items dyed rather than buying it and then looking just like every other person that bought it.
They could at least make it an option like buy the undyeable version or pay a couple of bucks more to get the dyable version, or pay some gil to an NPC that only sells the "ability" to dye shop purchased items.
Oh, it is, you just dont want to accept it or simply can`t accept it, and your example isn`t good because a party might have many reasons, just going out because you are bored and want to blow money away is a very idiotic reason to party and in that case your example just proves my point, while if the party has a good reason to be, like an important celebration or conmemoration, then the example serves your point, but since you didn`t specify, the example itself is terrible and doesn`t relate well to the case of this game cash shop.
The cash shop is objectively bad. Money from it doesn`t even go to the development or the salary of the FFXIV developer team. It doesn`t support the game or the people working behind it in anyway. It only takes stuff from the game and puts it behind a paywall. For example, a mount that should have been the reward from the Odin Trial, to squeeze extra money to meet corporative numbers that doesnt even influence the game as a whole, what you pay to this cash shop is basically paying someone else vacations or luxury commodities, and belive me, isn`t yoshida or soken or anyone involed with the development of FFXIV
And that is the issue. When first mentioned the cash shop, many of us called out the dangers of it and a few white knights came here saying yoshida will never do any wrong and that SE is ever-good, divine and holy.
At first only glamour items from events were going to be part of the cash shop ---> Now we have quite a few exclusive items, even event rewards that were supposed to be special and unique for the community that participated can be bought now.
Then the mounts will be just one ---> Now we have several cash shop exclusive mounts (diferent color scheme).
Then content itself was put behind the cash shop ---> Eternal Bonding is basically a cash shop service.
The inventory issues of this game were solved via cash shop ---> Now we will never have a proper inventory system since solving its current issues would be to cut this income source for the company.
And right now it is happening a leveling potion and several diferent class/job skill-quest skip potions, which are being considered to come our way.
At every wrong turn this whole cash shop has taken since it was announced, people like you have been there to support SE and be wrong. Once more you are here. In a few years we will have raiding food, rare crafting materials and maybe even tomestone packages and again, you will be here to support SE and be wrong.
Cause its hurting the game, hurting everyone experience and probably, something that the dev team will never say because they are in a business, hurting their own vision of how they wanted the game to be and play, cause probably all these decisions come just from above them.
While the hairstyle isn't my favorite, I do love the outfit. Looks great on my Au Ra alt. Problem is...can't figure out what class to glam the damn thing with on my main xD
If only jobs could have two different glam setups... ><
The Items in there do not affect the Gameplay at all. I have played tons of Free2Play Games and the Mog Station is in no Way affecting the Balance Ingame.
*We have no Hourly based Buffs to purchase in the Mog Station
*There is no End-Content Gear to purchase in the Mog Station
*There are no Items to purchase on the Mag Station that will give you an Advantage over Players who would not buy such Items
In the last F2P MMORPG I played, you had to slay millions of Monsters and at that Point, nobody did it with their Hands, rather using Third Party Tools. Each Monster would give you around 2.000 EXP
(At Lv.119 you need 21.000.000.000 EXP just to get to 120)
You could buy a Premium worth 30€ to get double EXP *Facepalm*... and yet, half of Server bought that...
The Company added tons of buffed Packages, Items, Potions, Arrows and Premium Packages into their Item Mall. Heck, even a Grappet or a Attack Pet did cost tons of Money.
At all, they restricted the Login, that means once their Server is full, those who do not own a Premium Plus, were not able to log in even after thousand attempts.
For that, there even was a Third Party Relog Tool that relaunched the Game just to try to keep connecting to the Server.
Premium does cost 30€ (Runs out in 28 Days, gives 10% Buff to all Stats, Luck Increase, Teleport Tickets, Ressurection Scrolls, Global Chat Items)
Avatar costs 15€ (Glamour)
Devil/Angel Spirit is a Item that gives you 10-15% DMG Inc, which you can even enhance by buying Items from the Item Mall and increase the stats of that Spirit up to 25-30% DMG / DEF Inc.
At all, if you want to be a good Player that doesn't want to die by a simple one hit, you need to invest over 150-200€ in the Item Mall and that Monthly.
So Please, next time, don't say it is hurting the Game, it is not, as all Items are either Decorative, give you Mounts or change your Character. None of them affect the Gameplay at all or you have no Advantage over Non-Paying Players.
Even the Extra Retainer isn't affecting the Gameplay on other Players. It affects only you and you seriously need to manage your Inventory better if you seem to have a Inventory that is full 100% the entire Time.
A Normal Player is sitting at 20-30 out of 100 Slots and if your Inventory is full of Gear Pieces and such, I think People who have that Problem need to reconsider that they honestly should get rid of these Items that basically sit on their Retainer for half an Year, if not even longer...
People may know there is a Illness called "Compulsive hoarding" in Real Life, and that can even apply in Games.
Inbefore my Fat Moogle Mount crashes down unto Brute Justice and gives me a A8S Clear
Is it storable in the armoire? I won't consider buying it if not. I'm nearly at my limit as far as how many glamour pieces I can keep on my retainers right now with crafting mats taking up a lot of space, and I refuse to buy more retainers just to store it.
While it's true you have to go through the cash shop for Eternal Bonds it isn't a paid service. The basic ceremony is free and the paid ones just add more glamour (extra outfit, mount, more colour options for the ceremony, ect).
The only cash shop thing I personally find questionable is that fact that the rented retainers can go on Ventures and list items on the market.
Make no mistake, if they made the sets dyeable then they'd get a LOT more money out of this without a doubt. I am certain that they know as much, but they choose not to anyways. The reason being, I am sure, that those sets are iconic to the characters and are intended for cosplay purposes and nothing more. Allowing them to be dyeable would only allow players to make the sets more their "own" and that goes against their wishes to let the NPCs stand apart I believe, because no matter how great any one person thinks the set looks on their character, at the end of the day, everyone is just going to see them as someone dressing up as Y'shtola and co.
Personally, I'm happy for the fact it was on the Mogstation. Perhaps it's selfish but I'd rather if people who weren't serious enough about the items did not get their hands on it as a freebie because I know that - on my server at least - it's already looking a bit ridiculous with all of the clones as it is, any more would just be absolutely crazy. Albeit that's me speaking as someone who is a big Y'shtola fan who isn't mad about seeing clones of her to begin with.... and also a person who has wanted a bobble-less version of the original hairstyle since the beta days, ahah.
Retainers are the only ones who provide a clear ingame advantage due to their ability to make gil from thin air.
I'm not a fan of cosmetics being sold on the shop. I feel it would do them better to have it as a ingame item as content instead of being sliced off for sale.
Every new NPC is pretty much a fashion model now in my eyes. It's a shame they feel the need to clip content from the game this way.
Well never said I meant you dunno how you came to this conclusion? Since you agreed to the other person (which basically such a person) and made a bad idea to put a better version ingame I quoted you to point out that most of the players always complain and there is nothing wrong with items being in the CS.
