Oh yeah while we're at it, let's chuck all the Primal ponies, birds, tank mounts and gobwalker mount on the cash shop :D
/sarcasm
On a serious note, if they chuck dark fenrir on the cash shop, you'll know we have gone down hill due to the mindset of people like the thread starter.
I don't think it should be cash shop obtainable yet but it needs to have it's requirements adjusted 100 wins is just silly why not just 100 completed matches?.
Shatter isnt dead, there you go, get one!
I can agree that the requirements can/should be changed over time but I stand by my word: Its a PvP-reward, let it be a PvP-reward.
That you hate PvP is to bad but honestly your "problem". I have no intrest in raiding and havent killed Nidhogg EX yet - but can I please have the gobwalker, faut minion and all the birds? Some rewards are for the people who enjoy that content and play it - thats how a reward works: something that requires you to put effort into it and thats "unique".
This opens up a very slippery slope. If SE did put it on the Cash Shop, people could rightly demand they also put the Tank mounts on there using the same same line of reasoning you have. Now if they ever decide to abandon PvP content, then maybe because you have no means of getting it otherwise.
What's wrong with people? If you do Frontline and win a match everyday, you'll get the mount in like 3 months.
PVP isn't dead, especially on Chaos - it's incredibly active with a queue time of 10 mins max, provided you don't get the instant pop.
I hate mentor roulette, should I be given a free handout for the 2,000 mentor roulette duties mount? No. No I should not.
A constant theme with this thread seems to be that the people who are misinformed about pvp, have no intention of pvp'ing or don't want to put in the time for it are the ones who want a free handout - go figure.
It all depends what data center you're on. Aether is usually 30min - 2hr waits during prime time (for me at least) so it can be frustrating trying to get anything done and I PVP a lot. It definitely shouldn't be cash shop but they should really consider re-balancing the requirements for situations like this.
I'd be happy if they added one obtainable through PVE. It never made sense to me why they don't drop from Coil or through some Coil-related achievement, given the aesthetic of it.
I know people here tried to get seal going on sunday, but it hasn't seemed to work as of yet, for the data center I mean, which sucks I still need 14 wins for the coat, Shame this could of all been avoided if SE allowed it to count for field of glory like they should of but -shrug-
Maybe selling them for a substantial amount of GC seals?
I wouldn't mind paying 1 million or 500k for PvP mounts. Just an idea
I own both the ADS mounts and I would be so frustrated if they released a cash shop version of it.
It's a no from me. I work hard for my mounts and I don't want to see them be easily attainable because people are lazy.
They already made Fenrir easy to get after I grinded months for it. They need to stop encouraging people to have mindsets such as "I'll just wait for the cash shop, I'll just wait for it to be nerfed" It makes these items lose their value and people won't be inspired to strive for these mounts/items/minions when they are released.
Why GC seals? If you could get it for wolfs marks (aka PvP currency) I would be fine with it, I guess. So, that mount requires you to win 200 matches, that would be (without a bonus) 120.000 seals. We would need some tokens to purchase here because our cap is at 20.000 atm - but that sounds like something thats more reasonable then putting it on the Mog-Station. This is a PvP-reward - why not keep it as one? (and no, I dont accept "because I dont want to PvP but I want your shinies!" as an answer)
I win as twin about 3/10 of the time. So it seems just about correct to me.
My issue comes down to the lockouts. Having to wait 40+ mins only to get into a 24 person run. They really need to unlock Cities.
Some things in life you have to actually put time and effort in to achieve. Life is also not fair and sometimes it'll take more time and effort from you to reach that goal compared to others. Take not getting this mount yet as a life lesson.

(I got my ADS mount after about 950 games, I also still queue for PvP because I like it and it's fun)
I refused to change from Immortal Shames until I at least got 100 wins for horse mount...out of 358 matches I have a lowly 73 wins. Meanwhile, I know several people in Mael that have like 120 matches, 100+ wins. I realize the faction always in 3rd place varies from data center to data center, but I do wish the devs would acknowledge there's a huge imbalance in the current system. It doesn't help that most nights the queue times are always 30+ minutes. Pretty much accepted that these mounts are loooooooong time achievements for me and moved on.
Some people ditch their GC and run to Mael, some to Flames. We had people leave Mael/Flames and come to Adders for queue times and they missed their friends, and left. I'm an Adder and I got mine after 600+ wins. (I played more than the necessary 200 wins so I don't know when I got it)
My current frontlines performance:
Campaigns: 671
1st: 219 (32.6%)
2nd: 232 (34.5%)
3rd: 214 (31.8%)
I main SMN in everything, but would occasionally go WHM or AST in frontlines if we didn't have a healer. I paid attention to calls and fought proactively (be it marking, coordinating attacks/strategies, etc) to try to win. I have never left Adders. You just have to dig your heels in and go for it, it will mean that much more.
I wouldn't class myself as a pve type of person, but I've been taking part in pve content, and usually having a bit of fun doing it since its release.
Of course the biggest draw for me wasn't the exhilaration of battle and clearing raids. (It might sound silly, but I tend to feel bad when I have to wipe to a3s, especially if the team is doing their best, thus i play healer!) The draw was unique glamour and mounts, which i assume is the case for most people.
The problem i'm having is twofold and perhaps subjective. I'm unable most days of the week in actually raid, specifically since "Raid Finder" has been released, regardless of whether i queue with friends or no. Second, in my personal experience the clear rate for pugs has been absolutely atrocious. An example would be that i'd been trying desperately to get the Monk arms glamour from "Alexander - The Cuff of the Father (Savage)" several times a day throughout its entire content life-cycle, and to check my achievements to see that i'd only ever cleared 25 times is really disheartening.
One might say that i'm just bad at pve and letting my team down, but i'd disagree! I take pride in my ability as a healer in both pve and pvp content, and i always put my all into every game. I'd managed to get the cute necklace from the "Alexander - The Fist of the Son (Savage)" relatively quickly! But when I compare that experience alongside raiders on my server, it's a worlds difference. Of course variables such as content objective and luck of player skill levels are also always at play.
My point is, I don't think i'll live to see myself get the regular Gobwalker, so SE can you at least let me pay you for one? All i want to do is bounce around on a future walker, even if may be mud green looking.
------Edit: To make clear, i'm not asking for these specific achievement rewards to be purchasable but an alternative version/reskin able to be purchasable or obtained through other means. A la Bennu/zu mount, parade-chocobo/white-fat chocobo.
That shouldn't be much of an issue. They could introduce an item that cost 50k . So to buy , shall we say the ADS mount it will require you to obtain 10 of those 50k items. Like I mentioned before would be good if all mounts where introduced under the usage of wolf Marks. I honestly wouldn't mind paying a good amount of wolf mark for mounts . At least I have the goal without needing the wins
I did chuckle, but surely you must see that you're comparing apples and oranges.
The problem lies in content that is created as accessible to everyone being rendered near inaccessible through the divisive nature of its foundation, i.e the faction system. But also due to the divisive notion of our communities to just switch factions if things aren't working out, which only leads to a further imbalance all round, but specifically towards factions that are unpopular or perceived as 'not as good'. Of course, this is highly subject to variables such as data-center and timezone you play in.
This isn't the scripted learning environment of endgame raiding where high levels of joint communication and player skill are a requirement for groups and the constant pruning of members is commonplace, the reason why raidfinder has been so unpopular.
Only if its gold with green lines to show my wealth. :D
Why work for something when you can pay cash and its just given to you they need to work on removing gc restrictions and make frontlines more accessible
NO....JUST...NOOO
Make it a welfare version.
Put a giant "I don't work" sign on the mount.
And once you own this mount, if you make more than 100k gil per week, you'll have to pay 30% tax.
While they are at it would it be possible to put relics in the cash shop too? They obviously take way to much time to get amirite?
