Welcome to the world of many players who use female characters. At least there's a way to alter the appearance into something completely different, as other games don't even give that advantage.
Just glamour over it like they are told to.
Speak for yourself OP, this armor makes me look fabulous.

I don't think they are born with horns. A lot of animals with horns aren't born with them, and if they do, they're little tiny nubs if anything. My guess, a lot like most animal birth, they're born soft-bodied and only grow into the hardened scales and horns/tail as they grow up.
I clicked through to the last page of this thread and had to scroll back up just to make sure I didn't click on the wrong thread.

Personally, I don't think tank gear should really have any exposure at all. It should be a trademark of tank gear to be fully covered (with exception of the helmet perhaps). As for the aesthetics of that boob window...I'm just glad I won't have to wear it, because by the time I get my tank jobs up there it'll be patch 4.2 or something...
Well I suppose I can accept the very, very, slight exposure at the leg like how the ilv 50/90 PLD gear was. But that's about it. Maybe I should just be content that FFXIV doesn't go as far as making bikini tank gear...
Pecs window ftw. You OP (As Roe) should proud to show pecs through lore tank armor
If we're going to ascribe practical reasoning to it, the heart-and-lungs area is not an area where I'd want to save weight on armour.
While I agree it does look like the armour was designed on a female model and lazily copy-pasted, changing it at this point would be unfair to those that do like it. If you want a similar armour to glamour over it, you could try the PvP behemoth king set or the heavy High Allagan coat.
Just on a note that some may not understand.I don't care about parts of the body sticking out.Just overall the chest looks bad on male characters.
My tanks glamor is litterally a pair of subligar and brown boots XD
I like seeing the guys with chest windows. You all had this coming.
I like it personally but I can totally rationalise with anyone that doesn't enjoy the aesthetic. THAT SAID, males always get pandered to with fan service, female sets that are overly revealing all of the time, I have nothing but glee to show for the fact that female players are getting a little back.
My Paladin has a bit of an androgynous look anyways so this set had plenty of appeal for me. Normally I keep a Knightly Aesthetic, but I changed his glamour to this until the next tome set just because I found it so nice.
