Did you not read what you wrote?!?
What the majority of you dont seem to realize is this is a suggestions thread and ALL suggestions need to be respected, not just the ones you agree with lol
I hope they never do this, I can see this getting abused so much
I'm pretty sure you can contact support if you feel you were wrongly kicked from a dungeon and they will look into it.
There isn't really a need to punish people when 99% of the time someone getting kicked is due to A. They afked for a LONG time and never came back, or B. they were being genuine jerks.
No, Shadows... No.
What Powe is saying is that when you have that option to select which you're doing, it will take away from the people queueing up for the "newbie"/"casual" runs, because there are MORE people who would select "raid"/"speed run" groups than they would slower playthroughs. When there are more people who want fast completions, it *will* take away from the reservoir for the people who want full clears for EXP.
If you want to party up with people who want to complete at the same speeds, use Party Finder. It's not any harder than using Duty Finder, PLUS it has the added bonus of reminding you that there are parties looking for members to join.
Well, the ideal procedure would be this:
1. Player kicks another player at a steep cost
2. The kick is reviewed by a neutral third party
3. If found just, the cost is refunded. If found unjust, the cost is kept.
Except, SE lacks the manpower to play neutral third party, so at best we could crowdsource the whole thing similar to LoLs tribunal system. So egh...
Your suggestion is going to punish the players that want to kick someone who is: AFK, Offline, Trolling or Leeching, Imagine this: Laerune joins Toto-Rak, Laerune is the tank and hates this dungeon, but she does not want to leave, because of the 30 minute cooldown. So Laerune does /sit and hopes her teammates kick her out. Laerune gets kicked, the teammates paid Lore to kick her out, Laerune joins the Roulette and gets a dungeon that is not Toto-Rak.
Now think carefully, who was correct and who paid the price? This suggestion of yours is ridiculous and very flawed.
people dont always have lore available to them. Like level 59 and under players...or people who just spent it all to get gear..Im sorry if this seems rude, but this is a terrible idea.
why would anyone do roullette if it costs them even more lore to do than it does? This is a really shallow suggestion, stop marking target 1 of 2 and making the run take days on end, everyone in your party EVERYONE is on their time as well as yours. if you afk to every before boss battle to go talk on the phone, or you just plain suck, thats a legit reason to get kicked. Ive been kicked, youve been kicked, weve all been kicked for reasons even we dont know, weve even been with friends in a party that kicked, whether it was trolling, harassment, or a level 50 white mage doing amdapor keep normal with a hawke manor weapon, just give it up the penalty is bad enough. Ive had to kick trolls only to get worse trolls replenshment, its just how it is. this is a bad suggestion im sorry you were kicked, but report and be done, gms got their time too and it shouldnt be wasted on "kicked for making fractal take an hour due to my game i play it i want" git gud, be courteously and chat and make the run less awful, or learn to speed things up. youre not on your time alone, youre with 3 real people(usually) it aint all about you at that point. Just be relieved you dont have to deal with those jack aces again for a while and keep at it.
this will bring a new issue Trolls trolling (harder) so u waste lore and gil....thats another weapon to throw at players... >.>
youre absolutely right, pay your daily bonus in lore to kick sirtanksnotalot? Sure! I mean thats the only reason im here why not give up my 15 extra lore to kick a troll sounds good! no thanks. And if youre on a dps, and you get kicked for being at 99 to 100% TP all of the time?
, yeah you ought to be kicked.
This is the dumbest idea I have read on this forum so far. I see no possible benefits to the concept of penalizing people for kicking trolls and incompetents. Heck, if I'm playing and I get kicked (hasn't happened yet), I would immediately assume I didn't do my job and seek to find a better way to do it... Sheesh, what even is this?
Ew what suggestion is this? Nope never gonna happen.
I seriously can't see a positive benefit to this. I would say the majority use the vote kick system as its intended, and why punish the majority for the acts of the minority.
Except that that sounds like carrying someone right now. Why should I have to spend twice the amount of time in a dungeon I have to because one person doesnt perform well? And what does "respect others play styles" even mean? I had that bard in antitower(!) once who didnt do any of his past level 50 jobquests - so: no WM, no skills that come with that - and got all rude about it when I continued to ask him for it and told him to do his jobquests. Is that a play style I should "respect"?! Rudeness und laziness? You're sure?
And that actually does both ways and a kick is a pretty easy tool to vote on this topic: YOU should respect other people playstyles aswell and if the majority agrees on one - you're out, plain and simple. And being under the impression that someone isnt trying (famouse healers watching a movie during the run, dps not bothering with buffs, tanks not using cooldowns etc.) I "assume" they dont really want to be in this dungeon at this time and I'm doing them a favour by removing them so they can finish whatever they were so busy with before queuing again
Maybe I'm assuming things here but OP sounded as if he's got a problem with "speedruns", here is a pro-tip: Go into the roulette with friends, so you're all on the same page to begin with. I main a tank and if I see a decently geared healer in my roulettes I WILL go for big pulls - please, respect that.
I do actually agree. The troll-argument is moot as most trolls enter DF as tanks, meaning that if you kick them it is in reality the same as doing a "vote abandon". Too often, from what I hear and understand, people get kicked for stupid reasons like that they don't want to speedrun a dungeon, not having iLvl 200+ gear, or that they stole the tanks GF or something stupid like that. The trolls we can't reach with Vote Kick as they queue as tanks most of the time meaning if they get kicked, gg finishing the instance in a reasonable timeframe.
Worst idea ever.
Wow! What a terrible idea!
Because they wouldn't encourage trolls, who now know they not only get to annoy other players but will also cost them lore. It'd be a complete mess and cause many players to single group and ignore the DF altogether.
...This is a troll thread, right?
Probably the worst idea I've ever seen on this forum. Sorry, but no.
Welllllllll, the simplest solution would be if everyone who signs up for a duty would just play and finish, be civil and not troll then their would be no issues. Since that's not the case all the time and people don't want to get along. How about a simpler idea? Instead of having all these convoluted filters, screens, who kicks who for whatever option, kicking costs, locked out for a month, having to fly to japan and stand in line to beg Yoshida for forgiveness to your sins. Or whatever else that makes party's feel like a warped job interview. Along with asking for systems that will in some way shape or form be abused. All so people can ask for more systems to counter the abuse of the abuse of the abuse. How about this instead.
Story mode dungeons soloable or with NPC companions. Do we really feel like a better hero with three other Warriors of Light or would NPC's give that same feeling? Since people want to treat each other as NPC's in a majority of these dungeons anyway. Does it make a difference if your grouped with designated NPC's?
Viable content for solo/duo players to earn tomes effectively (real content, not one that involves hitting a que button!). Skip all the headaches and stress all together! Since tome gear is recycled in major patches anyway does it really harm anyone if the solo player or one that is quite happy just playing with a friend is able to cap tomes without setting foot in designated forced four player content? Even up the rewards for four player content for those that wish to do it. If que's increase it may just send the message to the devs why players would rather solo instead of doing group content and make them see what's wrong with group content.
For me? Absolutely not in the least. MMO's today are more make your own choose your own adventure games with constantly evolving and expanding content. I like having the choice if I wish to play with others or if I just want to go off and mind my own business with a friend in a far off corner of the world just duo'ing or soloing in peace. Not saying I don't like grouping with others. I just don't want to be forced to do it all the time in game. More so when discussions like this creep into play. If everyone could get along and just do the content then their would be no issue. Since that's not the case...sometimes..you just don't want to play with others but still want to accomplish something.
