Hmm, not gonna get my hopes up at this stage...
I'm certainly not getting my hopes up after the ruined how awesome Diadem could have been. Sounds cool on paper, let's wait until we see it in action before we sign it's praises.
Anything that seems cool on paper will end as a disaster.
Ya I'm not sure what to think anymore. Seems like if they put in good rewards, then they will end up making it really easy so everyone's grandma can beat it. Which kind of makes it boring. If they make it hard, they probably won't put in good rewards or ppl get butthurt about it.. So I feel endgame is in a lose-lose situation for me. Either do really challenging content for crap/no reward, or do content that gets stale really fast. I'm going to stay subbed until 3.4 where the Alexander plotline ends, but after that I just don't know. I hope this palace thing is fun though :)
I'm just worried about the lvl1 thing. If it basically syncs us down to lvl1 and we progress from there my BLM is gonna be pissed and I won't even waste my time.
i actually didnt even think about that... is it litterally going to drop us down to level 1 for this or is the level 1 only refering to our "dungeon level" but its still level 60 content...
Ofcorse I was I been here since 1.0 and for the most part diadem gear was not better due to the fact that it was missing so many secondary stats found on raid / tome gear. You had to get really good rng to find anything from diadem that was better then other 210 gear. That never happened when I did it.
Probably as entertaining as hunting dinos for 90 minutes. But i will give it a try. Even Eso managed to have challenging single player content so why not this game as well?
Looks like a mix of nyzul isle and salvage from ffxi, but diadem looked like sky from ffxi and we all know how that went, so I'm not gonna hold my breath that this will live up to its predecessors incarnation until it's released.
Sounds like a Diablo sytem in FFXIV :). Nice ^^.
Sounds like it could be good, don't really want to get my hopes up though.
But those light weapons!
What's the likely hood that this is the map dungeon they spoke of?
Cool! ;O
I was waiting for stuff like this! And yay for single-player's like me too!
Automatically interested. But then again, The Diadem looked interesting too before release.
I'll be optimistic and give it a chance, if only for the Tactics Ogre reference.
If its not what I think it isthen I'd probably consider it. They need to start showing us live action of these things to actually give us some sort of expectation because right now, it doesn't sound like a random dungeon adventure each time you go in. Just another rollercoaster that gets updated with more loops. I don't even know right now with these ideas. Give us details about the dungeon more plz.http://img08.deviantart.net/3590/i/2...enebre1079.jpg and adds more hallways on each floor,
Lufia: Ancient Caves...
I just hope they dont mess up once again *sigh*
I've been saying they should have this for a long time. I really hope it's everything I imagine.
SOOOOOOOUUUUNNNNNNNDSSSSSS FUN!!!!!!!
I just really hope it doesn't die off as fast as Diadem did and actually has more to it than "go in, kill trash, kill boss".
Also hope it's difficult enough to lock out the super bads/terribles (you know, the ones who don't even remotely try and expect to get carried in everything) or at least force them to learn how to play decent enough, but at the same time, not difficult enough that it locks everyone out who doesn't have a static. Something in between alex and savage, but harder than expert dungeons.
A big thing is, the rewards need to be different for the solo and party versions of it. Because if its super easy and for the same reward, people will just solo it, which you know, defeats the point of it being a mmo. Give us a reason to go in with a party, like better rewards compared to the solo version.
Looks like Nyzul to me, I am looking forward to it. I solo a lot of dungeons (up through Hullbreaker Isle so far), so this seems like a lot of fun. Tomorrow I think I'm going to try to solo Snowcloak, and if I beat that, I'm gonna try Keeper of the Lake.
It would be nice if we could bring our companion chocobos inside. :)
It would also be cool if you could stumble upon other players inside so you can team up or something.
This is definitely something my husband would enjoy! It might even bring him back to the game (at least for one month to try it out)
Tbh if they made it actually harder than a normal roullete dungeon and drop i235 gear then it would be totally useful. Tbh lores will be upgradeable to 240 with the next 24 people dungeon, but.. I235 bis > i240 non bis in some situations. Tbh atm even i220 craft bis > i230 non bis for certain items.
But well I guess people would complain if it dropped i235 gear lol(still in my eyes it just means gearing up faster = higher chance clearing savage sooner)
This looks really interesting! Reminds me of Dark Souls too ^_^
Something that we are not forced tio group for? Is there still hope?
It sounds very promising though! Anyway, it looks like something to look forward to, now to kill the time till patch with a different game (<3 DDO)
Hope for the Best and prepare for the worst.
Looking forward to it, especially if it's for solo to small group content. I likes me stuff that I can kill time with.
it will mostly depend of the reward, if people do this for get nothing in return... well it will fail.
i means some people really need a content not tailored for 8 player and that is challenging and rewarding.
Even if the rewards are pants I'm incline to think I'll do the thing anyway... It has its own progression system, so I'll want to progress through that to the point where I'm "capped" no matter what. Why? Well, Beast Tribe dailies... Skipped doing those? Probably regretting it somewhat with the introduction of Unidentified items. Anything with its own progression system is worth doing, even if the rewards are lackluster at the moment, just on the off chance that changes in the future... It'll almost certainly have a mount/minion attached to it, though... Probably a Wind-up Edda... But yeah... You don't want to be stuck at level 1, because Palace of the Dead released with lackluster rewards, when level 100 is added with very nice rewards... They've said they'll add more to it over time? I'd say it's a certainty that it'll eventually see some relevance that'll make it worth "capping" now.
Given we can enter solo though, I really hope it's instantly relevant for Anima weapons... 3.35 should be an Anima update as well, no? Would be nice to have something that hearkens back to the days when Chimera, Hydra, and Titan made the original Relics worthy of their status... "Look at my Hyperconductive weapon! I can grind Esoterics!" Jesus Christ this is pathetic... At least they finally made the weapons themselves somewhat special with those secondary boosts (and I'm hesitant to praise that given how lackluster secondaries are in general... I'd trade them in their entirety for getting Enhances blehs effect back...), but the process of obtaining these things is so unimaginative and just dull... Really really dull...
