My Most Efficient, Least Tedious, Method for Grinding Phase 3 of Anima Relic

2) EVEN IF BEAST TRIBES TAKE A FULL 30 MIN LONGER, YOU CAN STILL COMPLETE THE RELIC IN A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME WITHOUT RUNNING ALEXANDER ONCE!

And as for the comment that I was being "misleading" that was just reading comprehension problems on your part. No one can farm 1.1 tokens or .42 or fractional tokens, period. This and my use of the word "average" should have made it clear that you don't get an unid item from beast tribes every day. BUT IF YOU GET 4 AFTER 4 DAYS, THE AVERAGE IS STILL ONE!

I absolutely will not waste further time discussing this part of my post with you or anyone else. My methods have been explained. I just think some people want to maintain their negative stance towards the relic and carry it to the bitter end. But this is not productive. There are things we do in life. These things are all a choice. They are not always our absolute favorite things but we choose to do them for whatever reason (to have the reward of a relic, for example). Complaining may get SE to change things in the future and I'm sure these steps will be nerfed eventually. BUT FOR NOW THE ONLY RELEVANT QUESTIONS ARE: AM I GOING TO DO THIS? AND: IF I AM, HOW CAN I BE THE MOST EFFICIENT AT IT?

Thank you for finally admitting it can take more than 30 minutes to run the tribes, and in doing so proving that the numbers don't add up as stated. That is what it was all about.

And for the record, I haven't been saying anything negative about the new relic path. The point was that what you presented was an inaccurate account for that approach.

I know of six people in my FC that would vehemently disagree with you, seven if you include me. But quite frankly, we've voiced our complaints in a logical manner...and we're done. I cancelled my subscription a few days ago, and my FC all did around the same time. Frankly, we're simply tired of being ignored and crapped on. Time will tell if SE actually gives a s**t; if not, their loss.

what complaints? there were "worse" relic steps in the past. I dont know what you expected

the quest itself is a blessing for the game, it revitalizes all new areas and unused content and makes all the unrewarding stuff rewarding

How? It makes us do fates in heavenward...no one did them anyways to begin with as dungeons was a better to way level...makes us then go back on old dungeons ok that bit imo is the good part, then it makes us do Alex normal um most players will have 200+ ilvl gear so the old alex stuff is pointless, good for upgrading you alts but that is about it.

So then it comes back to how does the relic help? I makes me do old content that is no longer needed or used anymore.

Nothing about this path makes anyone do any alex runs. That is purely an optional path. This relic is a remarkably easy path to do...well, except maybe obtaining all the HQ crafted items at the end. That could be extremely tedious or extremely expensive at the current state of the game, but it should become more accessible over time.

I think you missed the memo that told us we can get unidentified items from: Tomestones of law, Tomestones of poetics, Allied Seals, Treasure Maps, Alexander Normal token drops, Beast Tribe Quests.

The above list does not just say: Alexander Normal.

We have been given options, players choose what they want to do. No one is being forced to grind Alexander Normal. Hell, no one is being forced to grind. You can casually do this with whatever options you want like roulettes and spending the tomestones on the items.

I'm tired of repeating myself to infinity, so I'll just copy/paste a previous post I made.

What we are upset about is twofold.

First: We are upset with this disturbing trend of re-using old content and calling it new; this 'new' relic quest is but the last iteration in a long line of this. As stated before, the grind is an integral part of this game. The trick is to make the grind enjoyable and interesting. This new relic quest is embarrassing due to the fact that none of it's content is new. Nothing. The only thing new is the weapon, and only the 210 one at that; they couldn't even make a different model for the starting piece. This is not fun, this is repetitive, un-creative and uninspired.

Second: The second complaint derives from the first; the dev team has continuously stated that they're pushing the relic quest back over and over because it wasn't ready. Quite frankly, I'm insulted that they thought we were that stupid. What is new in this relic quest? Here's what's new; the relic weapons themselves, and the items needed for the quest, plus some dialogue. That's it. There are no new fights, no new mechanics, and no new ideas. Everything else has already been done, they simply need to copy/paste the old code and change a few words to adapt to the new items introduced. Saying that a team of 200 people needed to postpone this content not once, but twice, due to it not being finished is beyond laughable. The real reason they released it now? Because they know 3.1 was a horrendous flop, and they're trying to keep people subscribed up to the 3.2 patch. Don't be naive to think otherwise, you're smarter than that, I would hope.

That's much better than my less efficient, more tedious method for grinding all phases of Anima Relic

I'm skipping it entirely...

Just got done with an 80 minute neverreap run for my level 60 roulette today. That'll skew some daily estimates.

I'm actually liking the grind because theres so many different things to do and options to take. Right now I'm doing my daily roulettes, putting in some Alex runs, and some hunts. Its not too hard making the Law and Poetics to buy the items.

I'm SO BUMMED that I NEVER did ANY of the beast tribe quests besides the Vanu Vanu. I did not think they would be relevent at all. So I'm adding that into my grind to get my reputation ranks with them up but its such a slow grind.
Does anyone know what rank you are able to get the coins needed to buy tokens from from Beast Tribes?

Rank 3 to get the beast tribe tokens.

2 fresh 60's for DPS with the bare minimum ilvl to get in. Kills were slow. Bosses were like 10 minutes each. Only 1 wipe. Tanked in deliverance the entire time and never came close to losing hate. I think I'm taking level 60 roulette out of my relic grind, I get neverreap every time.

I have this same problem too. I started the other beast tribes since I never did them, but it requires rank 3 to get tokens. I wish I could get a few while I am doing the quests. Looks like it takes a few weeks to hit rank 3. Probably too much hassle at this point.

The crafted items have dropped by about 40% of their price in a day on my server. They cost about 6m for all of them now. The quick price drop should give people hope :)

I like the OPs approach on how they are going about the grind for unidentifiable items, rather than the 'Hur dur gonna grind Alex 800 times' They stood back and looked at the whole picture. Merely playing the game as a lot of people normally do (ie. Daily Roulettes, Beat Tribe, Maps, etc etc) and just passively picking up items as you go about everyday activity. Square gives people the option to speed up the process by going into Alex to earn precision tokens.

I like to think that it is journey. Makes it less painful if I realized I was so wrong.

Do you get the tome dungeon reward when running unsynched? If so, then it seems to me that people can just run KotL unsynched to get poetics for the bones and shells. At 100 poetics per 15 minute run, that would take about 68 hours to get all the poetics for the 20 bones and 20 shells...

Another way to look at it is that it would take just 68 KotL runs to get 10 tokens, while it would take 100 A1/A2 runs for the same tokens...

You know what, looking at my duty list it still shows the 100 poetic reward so it may be possible. Would be at least a nice change of scenery rather than constantly running Alex so hey I'd be down to run KotL, plus I love the music for that dungeon. Wouldn't need to recruit 8 people and could just do some easy runs with a few friends/FC mates.

You should be getting them - I mean coils and other dutios pay out the tomes even the bonus ones for a newbie...

When I went for the dungeon step, we tried unsynced first.. no tomes. It still felt quick with standard party setup synced, and could go faster with 3x DPS 1x healer.

I used unsynced for the dungeon step, but I wasn't really paying attention to tomes...

In all honestly the daily quest should allow a player to force trigger the associated fate, much like they allow on the final fate in the FFXI cross-over quest. Or at least increase the frequency of the fate, like they did for the ones leading to CT1 access.

The waits between these fates are terribly slow as its depending on OTHER fates being cleared to reduce the time between.

Nobody will do that and risk missing credit for this fate when it finally pops.

And let's be honest, most 2.0 areas aren't aggressively fate farmed for xp anymore. Its pretty much just North Thanalan, maybe Coerthas on a good day. Neither of which help those on the beastkin daily quests.

You do not. Tomestones are actually considered item drops from the bosses in dungeons, so they don't drop in Undersized Parties.
