I dont get it, your game is doing well u are earning $$$ , then u get lazy or cheap....and start delivering bad or no content....and u start losing subs...u then need to fire some ppl...and the rest cant deliver content fast or good enough and u keep losing players... (see wow that has lost half it player base in less than a year) , and u dont have to be blizz to know why u are losing players left and right...

we are playing a sub game , each month we keep paying for a reason FUTURE CONTENT , some b2p / f2p live off the sales or cash shop and deliver content w/o having subs.

bad content = less players = less $$$....lots of ppl were waiting for Anima to comeback or a reason to keep subing, but atmas , rerun old dungeons and farm alex / tribes quests?

why we waited so long for this anima quests ? i was wondering hell they may be working really hard to make the quest EPIC , since it wasnt delivered in 3.0 nor 3.1......but yet here we are....farming atmas , and doing 2.0 content ....u cant get more lazy than that....

I'm disappointed in the fact that the middle is reused up until i210 and in the fact that it needs a massive grind of either tomes or tokens, or the construction of specially added mats that need specialist crafter's to make.

The absolute most hated part of The Zodiak Quest to me was the Zodiac Phase it's self. I couldn't crqft, desynth, or pay others to do it. So I spent around 4 million Gil to buy the items, I will not spend gil on the Anima Weapon as well. And the alternative grind is unreasonably high. 300-400 tomes an item maybe, but 680 tomes PER ITEM means I can buy armor or save a second longer for a weapon.

All the token and time values need to either be cut in half or the required items be cut in half. But a total of 80 items at 680 a piece is time gauging.

And that's a level of underhanedness I only expect from Microsoft.

Forgive? Why? They said that things like atmas would never show up again and there they are.

Why should i forgive them?

3.0-3.10, promised the new relic would be easier to obtain and less grindy than the Zodiac Weapon.

3.15 rolls around and not only is it just as to more grindy, it is a carbon copy of the worst parts of the last weapon's grind.

Atma, Zodiac Old Dungeon Zerging, and Zodiac Styled Crafted items but with the much hated specialty Crafting required so that not even master omni crafters can craft the damned things easily. At least Omnicrafters could desynth all of the items singlehandedly.

Then to add insult to injury, the i170 wepin is the exact same wepon as a restated i200 eso weapon. And all upping the Proto Anima Weapon to i200 does is make it glow.

So yea, a lot of people are annoyed, to slightly upset, to complety outraged. (I fall into the second group)

And here I was under the impression it was one of the other. In that case my time would be better spent learning Savage and getting The Gordian Trident.

I'm pretty sure most of us did think it was that way, friend. At least I did. I'm not really sure what they were thinking with this, especially after playing up that Anima Relic would be more interesting and less of a slog than the Zodiac Relic.

To destroy it like a common tree branch just to make a better weapon is more evil than anything we've ever fought against.

I'll forgive them once they actually fix the issues at hand. Either that or I stop paying and have no more stake in the game anymore, and it's looking more and more like the latter.

There is nothing to forgive. They just need to get creative and make these kinds of grinds fun. I wouldn't have cared if it would've been fun.

Probably, but I think the countless Garlean soldiers (who aren't Garleans fyi) we've killed who were captives from the nations they've invaded were either oppressed to do the job and can't do anything about it at all kind of upsets me even more. Might be a stretch though.

That's like telling me to think positive and make getting kicked in the nads enjoyable,

SE I forgave the:
- lesser amount of 4m dungeons for the sake of having the devs focusing on other pieces of content.
- lesser amount of trials and difficulties available on them for the sake of more diverse and interesting content in other areas.
- fact that PvP design in this game is terrible.
- fact that outdoor areas are practically meaningless.
- fact that hunting is just a zergfest instead of actually being about exploring with a group, looking for clues and tracking down a hunt target outdoors.
- fact that diadem is not the airship content we were "sold" before the expansion was released and that we cannot actually fly or fight in our own airships except in a cutscene.
- fact that you're charging an extra monthly fee for inventory space over "server issues".
- fact that you made us wait so long for content since the start of HW with nothing but a carrot on a stick as promises.

All the haters need to just shut up. There is nothing to forgive, they have done nothing wrong. This is an MMO, it should be grindy and repetitive to a degree. This thread doesn't even open up with any explanation as to what its about, but based on most posts I'm assuming its whiner whining about the new Anima weapon grind. If that's the case, stop pouting and either play or quit.... personally I enjoy fating for atmas.... you're all (the ones who are bitching) babies, its just a game, they give you things in the game to give you a reason to keep playing it and you all cry. SE I don't have any forgiveness for you because you have not done anything wrong to be in need of forgiveness... and thanks for the fun additions to the game :-D

....the company will invest more money into FFXIV for hardware upgrades just so there will be no more excuses as to why inventory space can't be expanded.
....the company hires more development staff so future updates get the amount of content they deserve.
....4.0 comes out, because Heavensward got old about five months ago.....

I think you're missing the fact that the relic is more of a final straw. People aren't very suddenly and aggressively making the biggest fuss the game has ever seen because of a relic stage. It's been cumulative since 3.0. We're not in patch 3.15, it's 2.75 because they didn't change any foundation. The game grew wings in a literal sense letting us fly and stuff, but in the metaphorical sense, no. It hasn't changed at all. At least, nowhere near as much as MMOs are expected to with expansions. The relic is the main scapegoat here, but it all ties back to the foundation in 3.0. They took the super safe option, and as each new patch comes out that's stuck with all these familiar trappings people have had enough. You can label people who complain babies, you can say go away as much as you want, but - people ARE going away....quite a few. My previous FC died, my friends list and LS list is a museum of (Deleted).

People are misunderstanding this as another temporary relic whinefest when it's more than that. The wait times for patches, the relatively small amount of things to do when they hit, finally a long term goal comes along again but it uses all the most disliked and exhausted things. Many people aren't seeing the game as a good investment any more, and while yes some people can exaggerate and rant about it in an annoying fashion, it's also not wise to be dismissive, something-something babies, go play something else then but stop bringing negativity to my happiness bubble. Ranting and raving is annoying, but so is deliberate ignorance and waving-off any criticism, especially on the scale we've seen in the last 24 hours (and it will continue).

A lot of people are happy with the game, sure. And while here and on reddit etc any outsider would think the sky is falling from 1 new weapon inclusion, the game probably isn't going to see some immediate and catastrophic end. I don't know, maybe happy players are in a corner of the game where they simply haven't seen the dip in activity happening, but it's very real. Like I said, my FC died. The rest lost interest after 3.1. I know several others that died from inactivity. Low population servers have gone from passably functional to ghost-towns. I'm glad many of you out there still love the game (I do...though my patience is being stretched more than I'd like), but you can't be dismissive of what people have been complaining about for upwards of 6 months forever.

[Edit]: Besides, if all the haters just "shut up", how can they improve? There's no feedback option if you cancel your sub. In my experience, the most dismissive people who think everything is fine just say so because they don't like seeing large quantities of things they don't care about / aren't interested in. It's like when people complain on news pages on social media going "THIS ISN'T NEWS WTF~?!!?" for stories that don't interest them. It is news. It might not apply to you, but it's not irrelevant. You might not want to hear people complaining about FFXIV, and a lot of people are happy with the game, but that doesn't mean those that aren't don't have a valid argument.

I've already forgiven SE once for the 1.0 screwup, it won't happen again.

I don't know how much time and effort was put into this or the game as a whole in general and I bet you don't either. I'm assuming they work just as hard as everyone else to do the best they can and bring home the paycheck at the end of the day. I can give a good estimate on how easy it is to copy and paste a few things. The only part that would have taken any work is the particle effects, and it doesn't take this long to make a few particle effects.

I stopped believing Yoshi-p after housing. The relic quest is just another point in a string of small disappointments that's adding up, and this is the first time I've asked myself if it's worth it to stay subbed.

I'll forgive them only if they fix the game. Remove specialist recipes as a start.
