No, if people are invested enough to log back in and reset the timer then they are invested enough in the game/the house to be entitled to an extra 45 days. It's their house, and if they do that consciously in order to keep the house, then why should it be taken away from them? The timer was put in place as a measure to clear out people who have been inactive for months and months and have no interest in the game whatsoever, not to deny someone who missed a month (but is still interested in the game) the right to their house if they want to keep it.
I think the free login event actually helps the situation for the other side. With how lackluster 3.0 has been so far, it allows people to keep their houses and test the game to see if it is worth returning without forcing them to be a slave to their sub (obviously come January/February they will lose it if they dont return, which is fine, because they had plenty of time to consider the decision).

No one here is saying that people who missed a month but still care about the game don't deserve their houses. Literally no one here is saying that. What everyone is talking about are the assholes, the scummy scum, the ones who know that because they're just visiting their house and logging back out, no one else will be able to get that plot for another 45 days. Are they just delaying the inevitable since they don't plan on coming back? Yes. It's just going to be reclaimed in another 45 days if they don't resub. But the fact of the matter is that these are the people we're talking about, not people who had to leave for RL reasons or whatever. I have a house. I've been on many a hiatus. But would it be fair if I unsubed with zero intent on returning, but just logged in during free events to reset the timer on my house? That would suck for others, so people without houses have good reason to be irate.

If someone is unsubbed and planning to stay unsubbed, they aren't going to come back for a free login event...
I mean, they send like 10 emails to someone before they remove their claim on a house to begin with, you should really be more worried about that.
