I truly hope that one guy is right, and that with the content for Companies comes the ability to build and maintain your own space.
Although I do miss the personal feel of the mog house. I *REALLY* want to decorate! (but that might just be my vag talking)
I want mog house ; ;
There's already a topic on this here:

How about you read between the lines and gather that what Flower means is "I'd appreciate housing in this game to decorate and hang out in"?? It's not that difficult. It's not in the game no, but it's supposed to be there's ample evidence of that.
So yes please Mog Houses! Or whatever the FFXIV houses will be called, pretty please.
I should put that in my sig; Chill out, read the lodestone. lol ^_^
No. I'm all for player housing, but to be honest the mog house in FFXI was one of the poorest implementations of that in the market. No actual neighborhoods, no outside gardens, really claustrophobic one-room design, limited customization, inability to bring in anyone else (at least for a few years) and so forth.
There are much better implementations of player housing, like LOTRO or DAOC, FFXI is really the last place where they should look for inspiration on that.
I would like a house. Housing in games can cause immersion if done right. Star War galaxies was one of those games where those who played the longest had some of the coolest stuff to put in there house. dynasty warriors online (i know f2p) had a system where you visit the homes of those on your friends list. I'd check there name and see where they were, if they were in battle it would put them in their house after the instance, so I would wait there for them and scare the crap out of them. Good times. Mog houses were cool in XI, I dont understand how someone calls it boring, everything in XIV is so interesting right? Homes are interesting? I mean everyone's home is boring, and I have a personal attachment to my character that most mmos don't give me, so I'd like Zavier Mhigo to not be homeless forever. If they made houses less laggy like how XI's were I'd craft in there.
You didn't get what I'm saying, I don't get why its important that they're boring. For real most houses people live in are boring. I just want a place to call my own not some interesting fest, the game should be interesting enough to where the housing doesn't have to be. And most games now a days don't even have a house, so for FF to go in that direction I'd rather have a mog house than nothing.
Because since they have to implement it from scratch, i'd rather them to implement them *well* than to copy an old, boring and mostly flawed implementation that never shined against similar ones in the market.
I'd rather have it a little later, but not half assed from the start.
Exactly, the mog house is an easy way of implementing housing. I do not believe this is a thread about how it should be implemented but simply that we would love to have it.
There's a more in depth post in the 'Other' forum for suggestions regarding what we want out of a housing system that's already been linked earlier.
Month six of having no roof to call my own.
I spent the night in the chocobo stable again. Momodi is tired of hiding me and said I don't have to go out in the rain, but I can't stay in the adventurer's guild any more. The market ward constables are onto me hiding in the market stands and one of them whacked me with a club until I reminded them I had tier 2 nukes. I got a citation for sleeping in the wards and threatening a constable with banned town magic. They can't ever collect though because I have no ID and no address. They know it. I know it. Their eyes are friggin everywhere though. Can't sleep anywhere these days. Everyone's onto us.
They gladly let me sleep at the camps outside town, but those damnable marmots steal your food and gil right out from under you. Ridiculous. I think the camp monitors have taught them to steal I really do.
Is it getting cold or am I sick from last night's torrential rain again? i'm so tired...
See from an rp aspect, this is effed up. and i've always felt like the line between an FF mmo player and an rper was thin due to personal attachment. We need housing, don't listen to people who don't want a mog house vs do, that's not the point. We just want housing, those who don't are crazy (not the previous people who posted they gave me legit reasons about not wanting crap implemented into the game, they want quality house, so kinda listen to them too)
This right there! Miounne has long stopped sponsoring me at the Carline Canopy and I've had to pay rather high Inn rental charges for my room and board in Gridania. And even then I'm lucky this is where I landed and not let's say Ul'dah where a low revenue adventurer like myself sleeps in the back streets in a popoto sack.
If you like Mog Houses so much why don't you just marry it.
I mean, honestly, get a room!
Oh wait, you can't! LOL
