I do think the devs know what's going on, it is just that there way of looking at it, is different from the player base. I think they will make changes to PLD, but not in the way we would like it to-be. I don't think they will rework the PLD like they done the WAR at all.
Left my Paladin to play Warrior and Dark Knight. Class needs a full rework honestly. Not even sure number buffs can save it. Its just boring as tears.
Defending against attacks need to be fun and rewarding (see: World of Warcraft Active Defenses).
Oh you fairweather paladins, you so silly. I will be Paladin forever but I wouldn't mind some updates to things. They did it for war in 2.o when people felt it was lacking.
Many of the people changing are doing so because either 1) they have a raid team and feel that continuing to play Paladin would hold that team back, or 2) want to have a raid team and aren't convinced that a Paladin would be recruited into one. I know I'm at a point where my static is on the cusp of downing A2S, and I actually kind of dread A3S progression. They wouldn't dream of asking me to switch; we've talked about it a bit and the general consensus is that if I enjoy Paladin and feel more comfortable as a Paladin than a Dark Knight then I should stay as a Paladin. One went as far as to say that the feeling was 'all in my head'. It doesn't change the fact that I feel like continuing to play Paladin may be a detriment because the class is somewhat lacking atm. :/
I'm waiting to see if 3.1 brings us any appreciable changes to make the class more comparable to the other two tanks.

Tired of WAR having zero downsides while PLD gets the shaft in everything. Name one downside to WAR..........well?.........I'm waiting..........
Warriors are in a very good place, which is what we should be striving for. Good threat generation, good ability to survive, and good AoE.
I don't want the DPS of a Warrior, as I enjoyed the "bunker" mentality of a Paladin, but I also don't want it to be so much of a disparity that I'm dragging my group down in the process.

Former PLD since 2.0, sorry for caps and everything else but MAKE THE CLASS FUN paladin currently is the worst class of the entire game in terms of class concept " in my opinion" (no skill,no mechanics,nothing interesting on the class that makes it desirable just CD.) I enjoyed the concept of paladin in 2.x but now with the DRK in 3.x paladin is just simple,boring/bad. I have all 3 tanks changed my main to warrior because I can't stand PLD anymore and it's inferiority on everything. DPS,HP(war hp looks beautiful in deliverance) and DEFENSE. WAR is fun, DRK is fun and pls is just.... please bring back my BRIGHT KNIGHT. I loved the class I love been the protective tower that defend the group.

Said DRK has a stand alone stun not on a shared timer but Paladin does?
Basically he said he got into a party in neverreap and pulled the 4 bee's but said he shouldn't of because he had a smn and a blm and couldn't stun final sting because his shield bash was on cool down because of using fast blade.
which got him killed and he doesn't understand why shield bash is on a shared timer if DRK low blow isn't why paladin?
Old trait/idea the devs wanted I guess from 2.0 days to make PLD, and WAR feel different. One with a repeatable tp stun on GCD while the other had a on demand oGCD stun with a cooldown. The stun that was on demand with a cooldown which Warrior had was consider weak back in 2.0 when Hardmode Primals like Ifrit were current content. If you had 2 WARs in Ifrit hm the community at large saw it was impossible while with a PLD you could stun lock Ifrit from casting any Eruptions, aka stun bot. But most of that was changed back in 2.1 when WARs stun cd was lowered, and enemies built up stun immunity.
But now with A4S having a on demand stun with zero tp cost is a huge boon...leaving the stun on GCD with tp cost as the weaker stun this time around. But imo times have changed from 2.0 to 3.07 having a stun on GCD with tp is outdated, and shield bash does need to be readjusted. DRK was just lucky to get a oGCD stun with zero tp cost I guess.
I agree, went from WAR to PLD and now stopped tanking.
Shield Bash is still best stun ingame because it has no CD and can be spammed untill out of TP if needed, now if it was oGCD it would need a CD for balance reasons thus removing ability to stun-lock from game and that would suck royally(specially in pvp). So lets leave SB as it is and focus on skills that are more clunkier atm like DV,Shield Swipe and Clemency for example.
It being on the GCD isn't inherently a problem (plenty of time to stun puddings in A3S, plenty of time to stun legs in A4S) - it's because of the interrupting combos and high TP cost bits that makes it being on the GCD a crux. It's actually amazing for the hand in A3S, as an example, but the TP cost is too severe for it to work properly. Keeping it on the GCD, lowering the TP cost, and making it not interrupt combos would be the best solution I think.
