Yeah, same with me. Those shared gear makes me can't glamour PvP outfit. But I'm glad they make it separated :)

A cap/job would be perfect
make it happen se please!
We had this back in myth days. Just think people are not used to it.
Think it how it should be. With both same sets you had issues back in day when SMN got stuck with spell speed as everything was for blm.
I'm raiding as War waiting for our War to end levelling (he was late a month for study) to come back to Paladin... Now i'm stuck to ot buyng any body piecies until i know when he come back (hava quit all te i190 left side body excluded)... Kinda sick (also, working on A1 Savage..)
I would like if our alt characters could send mail to each other... The RMT excuse is lame because they just make FC's and trade stuff anyways...
I agree caps should be per job and some kind of system so you can only get gear on your current job put in place. In 1.0 the philosophy was that all characters would be able to progress vertically at an equal pace (due to exp lock outs so once you gained too much exp you'd stop gaining it). So casual players and hardcore players would all level up at the same pace. But hardcore players would be able to progress horizontally (as in being able to level up more jobs). This kind of system could work at endgame now and would allow people to make progress on more than one job without letting them get really far ahead on just one job.

Idk if you are being for real? but if you are i agree the way it is keeps ppl playing and keeps us doing something everyone knows there are bum rushers out there and if there was no cap they be done by weeks end. And posting on here saying i need more to do waaa waa waa
Am I the only one who sees the inherent problem in this line of thinking?Quote:
But if there aren't caps, people would gear out in a day and stop subbing...
If your game's only real purpose is gear acquisition or people stop playing, then perhaps your design philosophy is garbage.
One would think you would seek to design a game that is simply fun to play for people and that people legitmately enjoy being in... not needing to rely on caps and lockouts to keep your players around. That's like being married and locking your wife inside the house when you leave for work so she doesn't leave you.
And if you're a player who only plays the get the next best and then stop.. in my OPINION, you're playing for the wrong reasons.
Note: my usage of you is general, not directed.
At first cap was 300 a week, then it was upped to 450. At the very end of 2.xx it was upped to 900, and that was only because people were complaining. Why are you complaining about a system that has been set up since the start of ARR?
Not really enjoying the way the game is going. It's a complete repeat of 2.0. Atleast bring in something new, make crafting more viable in endgame. There are so many ways to throw in new equipment in a game, but yoshi-p decides to use only one way. It's getting old, it's just a repeat. At this rate it will end of like a new 1.0, where only the diehard FF fans wants to stay, because of the lore. Don't expect to have this game survive 3 expansions like this.
Because unfortunately developers STILL haven't gotten the hint that most of gamers are tired of the WoW way of doing things. Unfortunately because if that trash game (and yes it is trash, it took everything most of us loved about MMOs and junked them), everyone has this concept that MMOs are all about endgame. They used to be about the journey and making friends, while playing in a world you enjoy and never really ends. Now it's only raiding and getting gear. Really kind of sad how low this genre has sunk because of one fluke game.
Latest stuff is always long or hard to get.
You can imagine in 6 months time, esoterics cap being removed so you can farm every set.
Then by the time of the next expansion, they might be giving these armors away in catch-up quests to people who are behind.
