I went to bed with hopes everything would be alright in the morning. I woke up to the nightmare that a Nuclear Power Plant exploded, this is almost like something out of a movie it is surreal. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Brave Men and Women sacrificing everything trying to prevent those plants from melting down. God, Allah, Buddah, whoever, help them all, if those power plants melt down.
My best of luck, prayers and wishes to Japan...
I also hopes there will be no "returns and deadly" waves of earthquake today.
Thank you all!
I'm writing this from Tokyo.
We never loose hope.
And will comeback in Eorzea with bigsmile, near future!
Thoughts and Prayers to all in Japan..
I want to thank the Japanese players for posting with their personal updates. I am glad to hear you are okay.
Still praying for everyone else!
I thank for supports of many countries and people.
I'm glad to many people support Japan.
Now, I’m worrying about safety of Tohoku region (north-east region) and two nuclear power plants.
Japanese government declared nuclear emergency and ordered to evacuate all personnel within a 20km radius of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant (There are 6 nuclear reactors), 10km radius of Fukushima Daini nuclear plant (There are 4 nuclear reactors, 3rd reactor is already shutdown safe).
3 of 6 reactors in Fukushima Daiichi plant ware stopped before the earthquake for maintenance. But Emergency Core Cooling Systems within 1st to 3rd reactor were failed and do not work now. Especially, it is serious that damage of safety systems within 1st reactor.
TV said an explosion occurred at 1st nuclear reactor in Fukushima Daiichi power plant, but it was hydrogen explosion. The final rector shroud is not broken yet.
However, the core temperature is exceeding critical and nuclear fuels have began to melt. Then Tokyo Electric Power Company decided to renounce the reactor and inject sea water between the core shroud and external shroud to cool it down (In Japan, nuclear reactor has been protected quintuple shroud).
It is also continue that power shortage in east region included Tokyo.
Electric power and water supplies are not restored yet in all area of Tohoku-region.
Telephone and network lines are not too.
In Japan, electric power frequency between west and east is different (60Hz/50Hz), so electric power companies in west can supply only limited power to east.
Even now, how many people were killed and injured, missed is unknown correctly.
I can only pray to success cool-down try and not to increase victims any more.
I’m sorry my poor English skill and thank you for interesting in Japan.
When Tokyo power is recovered, I'll back to Eorzea!
I hope there won't be more damages !
Good luck for the remaining small earthquakes, we'll be praying for you !

Is there any updates on the nuclear power plant?
My prayers are with the Japanese people, I can't believe something like this happened yesterday, this saddens me greatly =(
Thx everyone.
Thx a lot your pary to us.
Today, US Navy aircraft carrier will arrive stricken area's coast offing.
other Navy Landing Ship sailing to that's area.
I think many Helicopter will can fly & rescue people.
Stricken area is very near coast & mountain area, Rias type coast.
Citys and Villege between sea and mountain, and interior of bay.
50's country say help to Japan!
Thank a lot !!
Worried and wishing the best to everyone affected by this horrible disaster. Stay safe during these rough times.
I'm following almost every hour the nuclear power plant news but still not something concrete about it. Hope for a fast resolution :( Very worried about..
Luckily it seems that the radiation danger at the nuclear reactors is slowly receding, at least according to the Times (despite their usual habit of trying to make everything "not said" as as a signal of imminent catastrophe, but that's journalists for you)
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/13/wo...ewanted=1&_r=1
hopefully things will be fully under control soon. It'll take about 10 days for the reactor to be fully cooled, but if everything goes well, the danger should be gone earlier than that.
Anyway, there are only old and little certain official information for a nationality.
Now approximately 3:00 AM JST (UTC+9hours), but I cannot catch new information of the plant.
(sea water injection to the reactor scheduled to complete 1:00 AM JST)
There is no Japanese media to say cooling-down the reactor was succeeded at this time.
I want to think the news of New York Times was true.
It reported little by little that suffering of Tohoku-region.
I do not want to believe, but at least over 1000 people were killed (Officially count), and several helicopters reported countless bodies that died by drown (victims of tsunamis) were washed ashore.
Even now, tsunami warning does not call off, so rescue teams cannot reach that ashore area.
A town was completely destroyed by over 7 meter tsunami. It was … like Hiroshima city after the WWII. There was nothing, only flatland and some utility pole.
I’m so sad to see and hear such news.
I have no religion. I have believed only science and technology, but now I feel I and human works are so helpless.
I’ll go to bed; these two days were too sad days for me and all Japanese people.
Wow, I hope all goes well for the people in Japan and any affected areas.
After seeing the footage, I would like to express my deepest condolences and I hope that families of the development teams are alright! Our prayers are with you.
Best wishes from Sweden. Many ppl here think about you. Be strong.Good luck and may God be whith you.
Looks like they found the four missing trains that were swept away by the tsunami. Luckily all the passengers were safe.

My thoughts are with you !

As of 1040pm EST MSNBC.com is reporting that a 2nd Nuclear Reactor is melting down the situation has now gone from terrible to catastrophic
Good to hear that some of our fellow Japanese players are doing alright. I've been at work all day so I'm just barely catching up to all the updates. I've heard from at least one of my friends in Japan, and I'm waiting response from others. I know one of them lives either close or in a heavily damaged area or in it, I forget exactly, but I hope he is alright.
I got word that Fukushima might get a 4 or 5 on the nuclear event scale, both of which are bad news and involve release of radiation. So far its 4, but it could turn into 5, as I hear the situation is still getting worse and that the sea water pumping into the reactors is actually getting stopped due to complications of some kind. Hoping everything remains stable, the last thing we need is more radiation to make things worse.
My best hopes go out to our fellow Japanese players, everyone at SE, and every single person in Japan.
Thank you again for your personal updates, Hetare_P & other Japanese players! (I think your English is great ^^)
I've been watching CNN and their comparison for the nuclear event scale (as of 3/12/11) was something like:
3-mile island - 3
Chernoble - 6
Just to give people a feel for the severity of this nuclear situation.
Also I heard that Potassium iodide pills are going to be distributed to people who were near the plants in jeopardy.
It's also worth note that social networks are playing a big part for people looking for friends and loved ones. Normally you don't think of such sites like that, you know? ^^;
(And I include these forums in that... even though the "Big" social networks are getting most of the praise :p)
Continued thoughts, prayers & well wishes to all involved. <3
God be with you, fellow players in Japan.
Hetare_P, of course we support Japan. We love you guys. ^_^
Prayers and thoughts to everyone in Japan affected by the earthquake, tsunamis and aftershocks. And now the horrible news about the possible radiation leaks.
To a world friend.
We are all right. I do my best.
Thank you for a lot of support.
But my English is poor, and I'm sorry.
Thanks want to say by all means and…
