On the flip side, healers who let their tank drop lower than needed when they could cast fewer heals at a time but with a higher frequency and end up with the same dps.

Yes, dps being out of range peeves me off. That's the main reason I play sch, because my fairy can fly over and heal those sods, and I don't have to move 8D
But yeah, whms that don't use stoneskin II. *^* I set up the protect, all you gotta do is use stoneskin II! *5 minutes later* Uhhmm.... Guess I'll stoneskin... lol.. Darnit, you used stoneskin 2 when I was casting it on the last person... -.-
Also, after everyone is buffed, the tank sits there... and only pulls when the galvanise has 1 second left on the clock, whilst I am re-casting it.... *succor goes on as the boss is pulled* Oh hello boss, nice of you to say Hi to me, and not the tank behind you. Oh it's okay, I really don't mind that me and the party have now been cleaved. *^*
-Tank that run ahead without letting me cast any single buff, not using any cd on hard pulls, undergeared but acts like a pro
-Co-Healer that complains that Tanks didn't do their job grabbing aggro when he/she casting Medica II before pulling. (Happens a lot in Trial Roulette lately, especially Thornmarch)
-DPS that keeps dying with the same mechanics, out of range of healing, refuse to AoE
Sums up my DF experience so far
Healers, of all things, that do not understand when to and when not to apply the healing over time.
It's not farfetched.
DO: Apply a regen on member(s) who consistently takes damage throughout the fight. Most commonly your tank.
DON'T: Apply a regen when damage is a super long time away or in no way are taking damage at all.

None of what you said matters when they don't use it. Plus more power= more room for more and better lifesteal, which paladins can't spam. Sure more threat and better healing from their new spell, but if you got a pure STR paladin who fails to maintain control, thanks to inaction, then you got a real gift. A terrible, TERRIBLE gift.
I did bash pure VIT tanks too in this thread.C:
Oh, another thing (on SCH) that has been driving me crazy. Everyone gets ready for battle, we get Protect, we get Stoneskin. Ready check commenced. So, it looks like we're all set to go. So, I Adlo and Eye for an Eye and then use Deployment Tactics. Then we f***ing stand there waiting and waiting while the tanks don't pull, and it ends up completely wasting Adlo/E4E on everyone, and thus a waste of Deployment.
Speaking of SCHs. When you compare a WHM's Cure 2 and SCH's Aldoquium, you find the two spells are similar in power. Cure 2 being 650, and Aldoquium being 600 (300 Direct Heal+300 Barrier (1.5x2 if it crits which means triple the barrier if the math is sound)).
What's really grinding my gears is when I see SCH's completely forsake Aldoquium because they look at only the 300 potency number it notes.
(If something's easy and I don't need it, I just use it for the lolz, not be barely decent at it.)
When the tank doesn't let your MP recover after an epic battle >:/
Healers- who like to regen before pulls and blame tanks because they got agro or die :P
Healers- Who like to spam medica II and wonder why they are oom or take agro on start of pull
Healers- WHM who spam cure II, they do not even use Cure I for the free cure II procs :D
People who instantly run off at the start of the dungeon and pull everything then start asking for protect in chat.
DPS who are too lazy to peel adds off the Healer in A4 or claim they can't because Medica II is apparently too strong when a single attack will get aggro.
People who tunnel vision and can't see a fight. The Healers see everything it's their job so they can see when you are slacking and derping.
Diva Tanks who whine about everything when most of the wipes are their own fault because they overrate themselves.
WHM's who never use regen or medica II.
People who start asking for a rez in chat. Seriously shut up if you died you will get a raise when it's safe and you won't instantly die in 2 seconds.
Tanks who stand there looking at each other for what feels like an eternity waiting for each other to take the MT role.
WHM's who think that them having no mana and my mana bar being almost full means they are doing all the work. It just makes you crap. I've even had other people in the group probably friends of manaless WHM like "Lul why don't you try helping out more? How is your mana bar so full!?"......Because I know how to manage my mana.
Tanks who pull mobs then stop. Cleric stance on and DPS rotation starts. Suddenly out of nowhere Tank takes off and pulls the next room and is dead before I can get LoS to heal them. Then comes the Tank in chat "Lol guess we have a trash healer I'll pull one mob at a time to make it easy on you k? lulul" I HOPE YOU DIE IN A HORRIBLE FIRE.
When the MT dies in a 24 man raid because their party's Healers went down then you question why nobody else thought to heal the MT and they say he's not in their party. Four Healers alive and nobody thought keeping the MT up while the dead Healers were raised was a good idea. Even before that everyone should keep an eye on the MT and WHM's should have regen on them. If the MT dies then several people are likely going to get cleaved and die.
When I Swiftcast raise you (along with the macro telling you I have) and you either don't accept so we're down one member or you go back to your home point / the dungeon beginning (during a boss fight).
Why ignore the pop-up? Argh.
I think the big one for me is a healer who does not have a raise macro set-up. A sound, text, SOMETHING to tell me your going to raise the downed person so we don't both blow a huge chunk of our mp raising the same person. Some dungeons or fights I will even offer up to do the first raise just in case it happens, then we still end up both casting it.
Obviously have no time to DPS in big pull? (!!BONUS POINTS!!) And you're not a White Mage? DPS ANYWAY!!!
This seriously needs to stop. :|
Horrible DPS. And I mean that literally.
I only became aware of this one recently. The first notable occasion was when a Satasha run (which has previously taken 40 minutes for me) suddenly took half that. At which point I became painfully aware of just how slowly mobs often died in DF runs. It's probably not a coincidence that my runs as SMN are usually quicker then my runs as SCH. Heck, I leveled up ACN and started double-maining SMN/SCH BECAUSE I kept getting DPS for a dungeon needed for the MSQ who seemingly just couldn't handle the mechanics. I suspect I have a far easier time beating Garuda when she comes up while queing as a SMN for the same reason, when as a WHM it got to the point that I had to recruit of the help of my FC (the dungeon later in the MSQ was the final straw that led to me leveling up ACN. No regrets, SMN/SCH is extremely fun, especially the former.)
I used to be pretty opposed to DPSing as a healer, but that was before I started playing SMN. Now, if things aren't dying quick enough, I have far less compunctions against switching to Cleric Stance a.k.a SMN Mode as a SCH in order to burn mobs more quickly (I <3 Bane). Unfortunately, that speaks less to my skill as a healer, and more to the lack of such on the part of the DPS. If the healer is needed to pick up the slack like that, there's probably a problem somewhere with the DPS.
WHMs who seem forget that protect has the proshell trait for everyone now
i(sch) cast protect so the WHM can cast stoneskin2 ...what does he do? waste almost 10 seconds REAPPLYING protect + stoneskin2
Are you serious?
Also, DPSs who insist to stay away from my AOEs makes me want to let them die.
Healers that don't DPS at all! You are standing there doing nothing all this time! Got a player I grouped up with with Ilvl 180 with alex weapon doing nothing. I go a lil anoyed at told them "can you stance dance". Another thing that got me the other day is a healer that over heals I am a lvl 55 Whm and I was playing The the lvl 55 dungeon and I was grouped with a tank that am sure he was lvl 60 and got upset bc the way I heal I refuse to over heal I always try to wait till 80 or 75% to starl healing someone so I can dps. And I always try to not heal to 100%.
I always do DPS as healer in low level as the legit low level players have terrible DPS compared to synched players, As a WHM i had the most HP doing Satasha. I'm lvl 55 now and I'll dps where i can in the 52 dungeon, once you overgear you can lay down Regen and asylum and go DPS for a while.
People who run off before I've finished casting protect.
Tanks who refuse to use their damage mitigation abilities.
Been seeing a lot of new tanks wearing half tank gear and half dps gear.
When I just put Asylum down for the tank and they inexplicably move out of the asylum..... or- I just put asylum down on the tank and they do stand in it..... except they move away to grab an ADD and never return to it.... leaving free heals and my CD wasted ;-;
When they do this I don't heal them when they pull the first set of trash and just sit in cleric stance while DPSing. After we wipe, usually the conversation goes like this:
Tank: "What the f***? Are you going to heal?"
Me: "I'm sorry, if you're in too much of a rush to wait 3 seconds for Protect then you're in too much of a rush for heals. I gotta keep mah deeps up!"
Which usually ends up with either me getting kicked (which is fine since 99% of the time I just rejoin in-progress and say "Hai guiz! We gonna wait this time?" when I get the same party), or the tank ragequitting and me getting a friend or FC-mate to fill in for the rest of the dungeon quick and easy.
Youngins are so predictable these days. :D
I had a group like that yesterday and I had already had enough irritating situations in other runs at that point that I just did not want to deal with it. Because a tank that can't wait at the start for everyone to be ready is only going to be rushing like that the entire run and that's never fun. So I said something in chat about not having time to deal with a tank that's too impatient to wait 2 seconds for buff and logged out. He actually died on the first pack of mobs in the short time it took me to type that too. I hope they had fun.
On the plus side, I had a series of great runs after that for the rest of the night and had a few 3 comm runs, so that made up for the start of the day lol!
These days I've had some tanks that wouldn't pop a single CD to help me. Most of them are DKN's. Do they have less CDs than the other tanks or what? One CD I know they have for sure is one which icon looks like a pink protect. I didn't see it once from the referred tanks. I know that managing mp with they stances might be hard, but healing without help is as hard or more...
My pet peeve is tanks/other people telling me how to do my role!
I had one dps shout at me because I was spamming cure and not dps'ing, I went mental.
They had the cheek to shout at me when each of them ran off to mob enemies on their own, so theres me the healer trying to heal each of them, wasting mp on medica and cure and not able to help.
Well if you lot hadnt ran off to fight individually then I wouldnt need to spam cure.
So they still didnt group together so I didnt cure and dps'ed which made that character angry, so I said what do you want me to do? I cant seem to win with you!
If you need to shout at a healer then your obviously doing something wrong :/
When is it ever the best idea to let pets die? Or turn off hud elements like the HP bar above friendly players' heads when they get hurt by default?
Sustain is still a GCD and it only does so much, and I don't care if the SMN tunneled, heal the pet! Dead Pets=dead DPS
The worst of them are Scholars who do the same with their own pets. OMG do they even know the fairy will heal only themselves if they are hurt too much????
- People asking me to Esuna on Brayflox before Selene got her awesome AoE Esuna skill.
- People losing Stoneskin on low-level dungeons 5 seconds after I put it on them, wasting my time because I don't have Stoneskin 2 AKA DPS not waiting for tank to build aggro.
- Tanks who doesn't wait for Adloquium before pulling bosses. I want to put my DoTs up so you better pop yours CDs if you didn't wait for my galvanizing miraculous skill.
- Summoners not healing pets.
- Parties that try to continue the boss fight after I die. STOP.
And what makes me rage quit: mean people being mean to a party member. Go find your healer elsewhere, I'm not healing you!
Aurum Vale.
Rocking the heals and preventing a wipe by the hair of your chinny chin chin because the DPS are killing the adds, the tank isn't holding aggro BECAUSE the DPS aren't killing the adds and I'm having to heal myself along with everyone else because after my Enmity reduction is gone, all the adds that the DPS aren't killing are now up in my butt hole...then getting no comms. Like who the heck are they giving them to because I was the only one who was flawlessly doing my job!
That DPS that skips over to mobs, smacks mobs, and then turns around like O.O "Where'd y'all go?"
Well, the tank has pulled his own group and didn't notice that a DPS went derpy.
The DPS now expects me to throw heals on him while the tank does/doesn't try to simultaneously pull them off him while keeping them from gnawing on me.
This may or may not result in me dying.
The DPS either dies or health drops low. "WTF, healer?! Do your job!"
Well maybe if you'd pull your head out of your stanky arse long enough to learn your job, I could do mine!
I always have that earth-shattering moment where I'm trying to decide whether to listen to my healer instinct screaming, "Heal! Heal! Heal!" or the fuming player side devious muttering, "Time for derpy DPS to die."
Tanks being completely in a DPS stance the whole time, then die from like three mobs and blames the healer after the healer struggled to keep the sorry tank alive -___-
Well a lot of tanks, including myself, like to stop long enough to flash/OP/unleash a mob if we are grabbing a second set because in PUGs some dps like to start hitting a mob before we grab the second or those healers that throw regens before you get aggro on your mob. I'm sorry if you have experienced something like a tank grabbing another mob after you drop asylum or burning arrow and having the mobs already 1/4 down.
I also hate when, as an AST, I'll drop CO and dps and occasionally tanks will run for no reason while I'm trying to regen some MP. I don't drop it in A4 last phase or I frit Extreme or when I know there's gonna be aoes in that area. There's no reason to not be inside the bubble
This a hundred times over. There's no reason you should be a mile away from the healer. you can stay within medica range without being up the healers butt just stand a little to the left or right. Saw a bard and smn on niddghog the other day on opposite sides of him near the walls. Was horrible watching the healer run back and forth to heal the idiots.
When tanks grab multiple enemies, stand in the middle of them with half at their back, with no CDs popped. Make's me cry :3
- A tank that doesn't wait for stoneskin or adlo OR pull while I was buffing them, so end up losing aggro because my spell hit him first...
- Of course, DPS far away from AoE heal...
- When I'm SCH... Tank half pulling a room...
- Always as SCH thing I HATE the most... Tank pull ok, casting Shadowflare. Once it pop, Tank run away with mobs... so Re-casting shadow flare... Tank return to the original place fleeing from my spell... (GOD DAMNIT this is NOT something nasty that will burn your feet ! It will slow mobs and helps me healing because you while get less hit ! °A°)
- Tank who do not care a single bit about their buff... Stoneskin/Adlo whatever... Regen/Aspected Benefic still up on me... I better pull as much mob as I can !
This two quote... just perfect... SO F*CKING TRUE !
(And I think you where nice with the tank in the second one...)
Really bothers me when tanks Protect/Stoneskin at the beginning of a dungeon, and Im not talking about like, I havent done it and they are waiting...
Today I had a tank, we got into Keeper of the Lake, both DPS watching cutscene... Tank uses Protect/SS, one DPS gets out of the Cutscene... Tank uses Pro/SS, Other DPS gets out of the cutscene... Tank uses Pro/SS...
Stuff like that annoys the heck outta me. I really have half a mind at that point to let them die and just be like "What? I thought you were the healer"
Also not avoiding avoidable stuff, like tanks that do Vault and don't even bother trying to dodge knights.
